"What does he mean If Leon cannot sit here, he won't? What kind of logic is that?" the group thought. What exactly is the relationship between the two? Doubts haunted the hearts of the three as if it were clouded with layers of fog. It was unclear.

"Thomas, what makes you say that what do you mean?" Joy frowned and asked cautiously.

"I don't think I need to explain, but please understand I'll follow Leon wherever he goes. If he is not able to sit with us, then I will not sit here" Thomas responded with a cold and passive voice.

At this time, Joy's interest in the relationship between Thomas and Leon has expanded. Thomas does not take Joy seriously at all. It seemed like as if he were too hard to please by anyone except Leon. Their bond seemed stronger than how it looked like based on what he had said in front of them.

"Thomas, What's the relationship between you and him? What's going on there?" Joy asked tentatively.

"You have no right to ask what I have to do with him. In short, it's harder than you think." Thomas narrowed his eyes and gave Joy a cold glance. Hearing this, Joy's heart was even more confused, and he could not help analyzing to himself.

"They are closer than I imagined" Joy was suspicious, but he reacted quickly and immediately put aside his hostility regarding his treatment of Leon Williams.

"Thomas, just sit down. You as well, Williams" Joy immediately changed his tone and started calling Leon by his last name. To Thomas, this wasn't music in his ears.

"What did you just call him? Did you just call him Williams? Is that something you think you can just say?" Tom sharply said, with his eyes full of contempt.

"Then how should I say his name?" Joy looked at Thomas with some fear and embarrassment in his eyes. "I'd prefer you refer to him as Mr. Williams." Thomas said with a demanding tone.

"Mr." is a very honorable title to them. It was mostly referred to those men who have a higher status and influence in the group. If someone was referred to as "Mr.", then they are highly respected in their field or community. After Thomas stood up for Leon, Joy was stupefied for a moment, looking complicated.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to offend anyone, Mr. Williams could you please have a seat?" Joy finally bowed his head as he made a gesture of invitation. But when Julia saw that Joy had suddenly started showing great respect and humility to Leon, she became agitated with how the situation was turning.

She felt that even after all she has done for Joy, he had never treated her with that much respect like he suddenly did for Leon. Suddenly she spoke up and said, "Thomas I don't think Leon should be allowed to sit with us right now" Although Julia Young did not get angry directly, but from the way she spoke, the group could tell that she had something against Leon.

"Who do you think you are Julia?" Thomas said as he stared at Julia with a cold and blank look. Julia Young's face suddenly changed as it shifted into a frown towards Tom.

"I am the wife of Jeff Brown from Texas. As a young master of the J City family, you should know your manners. How could you be so rude?" Julia Young answered with a grim face.

This did not stop Thomas.

"Since when did the Brown family dare to challenge the J City Harriman family? Let me get this straight. In my eyes, you are bullshit. Even if your husband comes here today, I won't give you the satisfaction of winning" he firmly said as his dislike towards Julia started to get impossible to overlook.

Julia and Thomas clashed. This has made Joy unable to calm down for a moment. When he called Thomas for a meeting about their projects, he did not expect that things would go south at a very fast rate. If they mess this up, they could no longer have a chance to fix things him.

"Julia, please stop talking. Apologize to Thomas quickly. He has a point, and we crossed the line. " Joy immediately softened.

"Joy, what did you say? You want me to apologize to him? Are you kidding me?" Julia chuckled sarcastically. "If anyone is going to apologize, it should be him. I am much older and respectable than anyone in this table" Julia retorted.

"Joy, why are you suddenly siding with them? Why did you just bow to Leon Williams without hesitation? This doesn't sound like you." Julia said as she started to calm herself down. Joy tightly gripped Julia's arm as he faced him and gave her a sudden wink. Upon seeing this, Julia finally let her guard down and realized the look on Joy's face was a look of a person with a formidable plan.

"Thomas, I deeply apologize for the way I behaved" Julia's tone and attitude changed as she released her apology.

Thomas watched her break down her walls. But even though she did, he was not easily persuaded by her actions. "Don't just apologize to me. To Mr. Williams as well. if you are deeply sincere, then saying that to him won't be a hassle." he said coldly.

After hearing this, Julia could not stop herself from disagreeing and clashing with her thoughts "What? Did you just ask me to apologize to Leon Williams? He is just a chauffeur and nothing else. Why would I even give him my respect? Julia quietly whispered to herself.

However, they could no longer offend Thomas once more. She had no choice but to suppress her anger "Thomas, please calm down. I was just about to apologize to Leon Williams, but it is hard to say whether he would accept my apology. I went too far, and I don't think I can turn back time and change things." Julia said.

After saying this, her eyes glanced towards Leon Williams. But from that second, he had felt that there was something wrong with the stare she gave him. It seemed like a threat.

"What do you think, Mr. Williams?" Thomas respectfully asked Leon for advice.

Leon looked back at Julia as he confirmed her diminishing stares. He was sure that even if she did apologize, it was only for show. They were up to something and he knew it from the way her eyes pierced. "Apologize once more" Leon said with a firm and cold voice.

Julia's lips trembled with anger as his words were the last thing she ever wanted to hear. She felt as if he took advantage the situation. This did no longer stop her from creating a scene. She stood up from her seat and raised her hands, almost hitting Leon's face. She was suddenly pulled back by Joy and Betty as soon as her hand started crossing the table.

"How dare you?!" she screamed at him.

"You don't really think you can threaten me, do you? How dare you act this way in front of Mr. Thomas? You are lucky I have a deep sense of respect for you because of Betty. But seeing the way you acted, I don't think Mr. Thomas should even give you a chance to speak."

"Son of a bitch! People just pity you, and no matter what, you cannot change that. You are just a lowlife and me begging for forgiveness from you is something clearly impossible to happen. I will not stoop so low to give you the equal amount of respect just like your boss." Julia argued.

Suddenly, Thomas shook his head and said, "No!" With a firm tone, this had put fright upon Julia's flustered face. Despite of the fact that she just stood her ground, this seemed to have influenced the relationship their family could ever have with them. Pride was torn in pieces and the possibility of ever fixing the situation has now turned into an illusion.
