Chapter 340: Chapter 340
Chapter 340 The Better Man
Leon Williams thought as he drove back to Betty Brown's place.
Julia Young didn't have a place in his life.
The reason why she was able to get on his car was entire because of Betty Brown.
Now that the house had been bought and the agreement had been signed, why would he let her ride in his car?
She really thought of herself as the wife of the Brown family. Did she forget that she was only a mistress?
Suddenly, Betty Brown interrupted Leon Williams's train of thought.
"Thank you. I may have troubled you for a while but it will not be for long."
Considering that her father was seriously ill and his time was running out, Betty Brown asked Leon Williams to pretend to be the Brown family's son-in-law for a few more days.
"It doesn't matter. If I can help you then I will do it."
Leon Williams didn't talk much and he kept his distance from Betty Brown.
After taking Betty Brown home, Leon Williams went back to Rachel's place.
Rachel was cooking in the kitchen when Leon Williams walked up behind her. He stretched out his arms and he hugged her gently.
Rachel looked back and smiled. Her hair brushed on Leon Williams's face.
"The meal is almost ready. Let's eat together," Rachel said affectionately.
"There's no need to hurry."
Leon Williams was about to do something when Tina suddenly stood behind him.
"What are you doing? I'm hungry!"
Tina had a strong tone and she seemed to resent the intimacy between Leon Williams and Rachel.
Leon Williams looked back and glanced at her with a frown.
At that time, Rachel blushed and her ears were burning.
She was already easily shy, but now she was even more ashamed. She had no choice but to continue to cut vegetables.
"Leon Williams, stay away from my sister. My sister hasn't said she's going to marry you yet!" Tina was very hostile towards Leon Williams.
She eyed him like an eagle.
The thousands of kilos of clothing that Tina wore were all bought by Leon Williams.
The crystal bracelet that was worth millions of dollars on her left hand was also a gift from Leon Williams.
Even Tina's job was arranged by Leon Williams.
But Tina didn't know about all of it. Maybe if she knew, then she would show some respect to her sister's boyfriend.
"You changed so much since the first time I saw you," Leon Williams could obviously feel the change in Tina's behaviour.
When he met Tina for the first time, his sister-in-law acted very sensibly, but she had changed a lot in just a few days.
There must be some misunderstandings that he didn't notice but it was more likely that the mole in Flying Group was the reason for her sudden misbehavior.
"Don't change the subject and stay away from my sister!"
Tina did not feel that she had changed. Instead, she thought that Leon Williams had broken his words and she promised herself that she would no longer treat him nicely.
She even felt that her sister was now completely deceived by Leon Williams's acts and people like him were not worth trusting at all.
"Who are you to command me? Go to dinner if you are hungry!"
Leon Williams looked serious because it was not his sister-in-law's turn to teach him a lesson.
During the meal, the sisters talked about the concert of the heavenly King Bieber.
"Rachel, I have tickets for the heavenly King Bieber's concert. Would you like to see it tonight?"
Tina had planned to go with the people from Flying Group but they said that they would be out of town for business.
"I may not be able to go. I've been very busy at work lately. The company's program team is going to shoot a night scene," Rachel answered.
"Well, these tickets would be a waste. It's hard to get these tickets for Bieber's concert. I don't have any other friends to go with but I don't want to waste it." Tina said.
"Why don't you let Leon Williams go with you? There are so many people at the concert and you might get lost. If you go with him, he can also protect you."
Rachel treated Leon Williams as her family so he trusted him so much that she would be at ease when he would accompany her sister.
Unexpectedly, Tina immediately put down her bowl, she then glared at Leon Williams and said, "Is he poisoning your brain? I don't know him very well. Why should I take him with me? If he really wanted to go to the King Bieber's concert, then he should find a way to buy it himself!"
Leon Williams smiled when he heard that.
It was true that King Bieber was a famous figure in the entertainment industry but it is not hard for Leon Williams to get a concert ticket.
In terms of power, no matter how famous the stars of the entertainment industry were, they could not match the power of business people.
"How can it be so difficult to buy Hedda Bieber's concert tickets? Besides, I don't chase stars like him so I can only be regarded as a passerby in his concert. If there are no special circumstances, I don't usually go to concerts. You think too much."
Leon Williams was telling the truth. He was trained by his family when he was young and he studied inside their home for more than a decade which made him lead a life of isolation from the rest of the world.
It was only during those four years at Fairmont City University that he had experienced the life of ordinary people.
He had heard of the stars of the entertainment industry but he did not have much interest in them.
"I think it's disrespectful of you to call King Bieber by his first name. He is a good performer. He can sing, he can dance, he has a handsome face and he has a good character. He is worthy of the title King of Heaven. What qualification do you have for sounding sour when you talk about him?"
Tina tried to protect Hedda Bieber from Leon Williams's sour tone.
Leon Williams, on the other hand, felt speechless and thought that how Tina's brain worked was too strange.
Why did Tina expect that everyone should be a fan of Hedda Bieber? Just because of his good character and talent?
Why was she angry when he said that he would not go to King Bieber's concert without some special circumstances?
It's just a matter of personal pursuit and personal preference.
Was it wrong to be honest?
"Why would I be sour towards him? What qualification does he have to deserve my bitterness?" Leon Williams said as he looked at Tina and smiled at her faintly.
He really thought that Tina had a weird way of thinking.
"You are just a potato compared to King Bieber. He is a superstar in the entertainment industry. Can't you be modest? In fact, even if you are sour, King Bieber will not pay attention to you because you are not on his level. People do not know you and you are meaningless," Tina added.
Leon Williams was speechless and he didn't want to say any more things so went on eating.
Rachel's face suddenly turned serious.
"Tina, don't ever talk to him like that again. You have no idea what kind of man he is. In terms of character and courage, he is better than your King Bieber!"
Having been through so much together, Rachel knew Leon Williams more than anyone else.
Rachel believed that Leon Williams was so great that he would one day become a leader in the industry.
"Rachel, I can't believe you compare him to King Bieber. If he had been as good as you said, he wouldn't have been a driver now. King Bieber made his debut at the age of 18. Had he achieved something like that?"
