Chapter 319: Chapter 319
Chapter 319 Get Out
"I'm expecting so much from you so get this thing done!" Leon Williams exclaimed.
He wanted to get ahead of the game and do all of his best to protect Rachel and Tina. The main problem only was that he doesn't know who exactly he was dealing with.
Early in the morning, around eight o'clock, Vic came to work at Flying Group.
As soon as he arrived at the post, he received a termination letter from the company.
Their reason was that his performance was not up to their standards.
He couldn't understand what was happening. He was confused. It took him a whole five years to get into his current position and now, they terminated him just like that. Their reason wasn't valid for him.
He couldn't accept that he was laid off. His heart was pounding. He felt so disappointed.
Because Flying Group, lags in the top five of the provincial capital, especially the Brown family and Moore family, Flying Group was one of the best.
Vic took the courage to ask his manager for some explanation.
"Manager, what on earth is this?"
Vic looked aggrieved and burst into tears.
"Because you have offended someone you shouldn't have offended!" York said with a cold look in his eyes.
"Who is it, manager? Please help me understand what's happening. Please enlighten me." Vic had no idea which among his co-workers he had offended.
"Who are you to ask for an explanation? You are just an employee here. Don't demand anything!" The manager exclaimed. With that, York turned his head and walked away.
At that time, Tony was severely reprimanded and slapped by his father Vincent.
"Dad, why is that? Why did you hit me for no reason?" Tony still doesn't know what's going on.
"When you do things in the future, don't be as discerning as a gavel!" His father responded.
Vincent can't reveal much, but he must teach his son a lesson or something big will happen in the future.
"What's wrong with you? What did I do?" Tony felt aggrieved.
"There are areas you shouldn't cross. I'm just a worker for Flying Group. I'm in charge of managing the Italian Brilliant Jewelry Store. Don't say that that store belongs to your family and brag about it to your friends!" Vincent stressed.
"Dad, can you tell me why?" Tony asked again.
"In short, when you go out in the future, you must keep a low profile!" Vincent explained.
Putting down these words, Vincent went to the store for a smoke, and he was planning to find a chance to apologize to Leon Williams.
Leon Williams just had breakfast and stopped by the office.
When he went inside, he saw Vic carrying a cardboard box in his arms.
He walked out of the group building with lonely eyes.
Vic also saw that Leon Williams, but he doesn't want him to see him like that. He felt so down and discouraged. "What are you doing here?" Vic frowned heavily and his eyes were full of hostility.
Leon Williams glanced at him and didn't bother to talk to him.
He just went on and tried walking away from him.
"Hello! I asked you a question! Are you deaf?" Vic's grievances have nowhere to vent.
"Get out!" Leon Williams shouted.
Leon Williams kicked Vic away. Leon Williams felt sick of people like Vic. He doesn't like people with the same character as Vic. They are so pretentious. He tried talking to him before because he was Tina's friend. But he couldn't take his bad character anymore.
Leon Williams walked into the group building and looked around to see if he could find any clues on the inside.
There is one more thing today, that is, Tina joined Flying Group.
But Leon Williams doesn't want to show up and reveal his identity.
Just then, Betty Brown suddenly sent contact information.
"Can we meet?"
Leon Williams's expression was cold when he saw the contact information message.
"There is nothing to talk about between us. The engagement was canceled and there is no more relationship." He responded.
"I really want to see you. I need your help." She insisted.
Betty Brown does have a crush on Leon Williams and she really wants something from him today.
"What's the matter?"
"Remember that pearl necklace? Recently, I always feel that something's wrong. I was always distracted and anxious. I remember you mentioned that that piece of pearl necklace was ominous, so I'd like you to take a look at it for me." She explained.
It was Gordon Moore who gave her the piece of pearl necklace that Leon Williams advised her to throw away. But she didn't care about it because of the Brown family's annual meeting and the turmoil in the Brown family group.
"You haven't thrown it away yet? Haven't I made it clear to you yet?" Leon Williams's tone became serious.
That piece of pearl necklace has been worn by Betty Brown for three years. Betty Brown used to wear it during annual meetings. But she has decided that after the last meeting, she will never wear it again.
"You're asking for trouble." Leon Williams doesn't want to get involved with Betty Brown.
However, Betty Brown is not a bad person. Master Nicholas once said that mysterious magic can not only harm people but also save people. "The pearl necklace should still be in my house, but I rummaged through the cabinets and couldn't find it." Betty Brown said.
"Alright, I'll go and have a look. I'll go to your house." He said.
When Leon Williams finished, he hung up the phone.
Betty Brown smiled faintly, and she knew that Leon Williams was not a cold-blooded person.
And then she felt a little lost.
"If I had a discerning eye for others, I would not have buried this god sent marriage in vain, and now it will be as hard as heaven to get it back!" She thought to herself.
Betty Brown knew very well that she has taken the wrong step.
"But I'm in love with him now and would do anything for him!"
Standing on her balcony, Betty Brown was in a trance, filled with emotion.
......
Half an hour later, Leon Williams came to the door of the Rainbow Villa.
Although the Brown family group was acquired by Flying Group, it retained its property.
After ringing the doorbell, Betty Brown came and opened the door for him.
Betty Brown wears a light cyan dress which showed long legs. She was elegant and graceful.
"Show me your room." Leon Williams said.
"Yes, please follow me." Betty Brown nodded gently.
Leon Williams maintained a serious face.
Betty Brown's boudoir was decorated with a scholarly atmosphere.
Her furniture was all expensive. They all looked as elegant as her. Simple yet elegant.
Of course, Leon Williams went there because Betty Brown asked him to. Not to be impressed with her furniture.
Leon Williams tried searching but couldn't find any. It wasn't that long when he shook his head and said, "Not in your room. Have you checked all the other rooms?"
"I've looked everywhere but I couldn't find it. Where could it possibly be?" Betty Brown frowned and spoke with a hint of hesitation as if she had something on her mind.
Leon Williams sensed that there was something wrong with Betty Brown's face, but did not ask any questions, and then went to her mother's room.
It was strange to know about Betty Brown's mother because he has never seen her at Donald Brown's birthday party or the Brown family's annual meeting.
Now when Betty Brown talks about her mother, Leon Williams felt as if such a person appeared out of thin air.
When Leon Williams walked into her mother's room, he quickly sensed something.
He figured that the lost pearl necklace could probably be in that room.
But at that time, a middle-aged woman suddenly appeared behind them and shouted angrily, "Betty Brown! How dare you bring a wild man into my room? Get out of here at once!"
