Aurora woke up in the morning feeling worried. She must have slept off waiting for Jax. She was restless throughout the night and she could only get some few hours of sleep.

"Good morning sweetheart, I hope you are feeling better? Though I could see you were restless all through the night", Alpha Jax said as he kissed her head.

"I guess I am. I just couldn't sleep last night though", she replied with a forced smile. She still can't stop thinking of Jax's connection to her father's death.

She was determined to solve this issue as soon as possible. She decided to ask him directly to clear the air.

"Do you have something to tell me, Aurora?", Jax asked looking at her confused face.

"Jax, I–", Aurora couldn't complete her question before the door to the ward was pushed open.

Uncle Max walked in looking energetic. The old man was smiling brightly. He ignored Jax as the alpha rolled his eyes. He knew what the old man was determined to do. Cunning old man! He will surely get back at him!

"Oh my sweetheart, Aurora!", The old man's voice rang out to the surprise of Aurora. She chuckled at the old man's energy.

"She is not your sweetheart old man. She is your daughter in-law", Alpha Jax replied jealously.

"Aurora sweetheart, don't mind his jealousy", Uncle Max beamed as he drew closer to her and whispered", I hope you are ready this morning? I have ordered my cooks to prepare a nutritious meal especially for you and the baby".

"Uncle Max, isn't it too early to leave? Why are you so impatient? Why can't you stay at home? I already told you I would bring her personally", Alpha Jax grumbled as he was getting irritated at his Uncle who was getting closer to Aurora.

"Shut up, brat! You thought I don't know your plan? You don't want Aurora to come to my place", his Uncle busted him.

"Obviously. Who would want a clingy uncle like you who wants to steal their woman?", Alpha Jax snapped.

"Whatever. Afterall I never agreed with you yesterday. I told you I will personally pick her up myself", Uncle Max shrugged.

"You… Uncle, Aurora is my mate and I think I have a say about her not you", Alpha Jax said controlling his temper. The thing that is even getting him riled up was the fact that his uncle was too close to his mate!

"You don't have a say yet, Jax. She is carrying a future Alpha or Luna. Which means she and the baby are more valuable than your office as an Alpha. The tradition still holds here in the Pack", his Uncle said nonchalantly. Then he added", The more reason why I have right over her than you is the tradition. Remember you got her pregnant before her announcement. Don't let me use the tradition on you, Jax".

"Arrrgghh!!!", Alpha Jax growled. He can't believe he forgot the rules.

He should have just waited before sounding the Royal howl. But if he had delayed, the moon goddess would take the right to rule from his child and give it to someone else.

He doesn't wish to pass the throne to another family. If he does, his whole family might die. Sounds mystic, right? But that's his Pack's belief…his fathers belief…and his own belief today.

Aurora stared at the two people arguing before her. She knew they won't stop bickering unless someone interferes. She was already having a migraine.

"Uncle, thank you so much for coming this early. In fact, I am so grateful because I am getting sick of this hospital already", Aurora said with a smile.

"Ahh! My sweet Aurora. You see Jax, that's how you talk to an elder. Simply because you are jealous, doesn't mean I won't do the right thing", Uncle Max said smugly.

Alpha Jax shook his head at this mischievous Uncle of his. He threw a grateful glance towards Aurora. Could he be like this because he was getting older?

"Shall we go now, Uncle Max?", Aurora asked with a smile.

"Of course, let's go. Jax would settle the bills and other formalities, right?", Uncle Max asked, beaming with a smile.

"Do I have a choice?", Alpha Jax asked as he threw his uncle a look. He walked closer to Aurora and helped her up", let's go, sweetheart. I will see you in the car. I will go back to see the doctor and discuss your health and the baby, okay?".

Aurora nodded her head as she followed him towards the car. Gamma Enrique and Butler Kent were already waiting for them.

Alpha Jax helped her into the car before bending down to plant a long kiss on her lips. He reluctantly parted when he realized there were others around him.

Aurora face was so red like a tomato paste. She glared at him. This man would always be a pervert!

Alpha Jax chuckled as he turned around to give instructions to his Gamma.

After driving for a few hours, the car drove into a spacious mansion filled with different artistic antiques. It looked so beautiful that Aurora couldn't help but gasp at the intricate designs on the exterior of the mansion.

They finally stopped at the entrance of the mansion after a five minutes drive in. Gamma Enrique got out of his car and helped Aurora into the house.

She was amazed at the interior design. There is something about this mansion that gives her peace. She felt peaceful and after a few minutes she was feeling drowsy and hungry.

Aurora decided to take a quick nap while Uncle Max was busy ordering the Butler around to bring the breakfast to the table. She suddenly felt hungry. The hunger coupled with drowsiness made her frustrated. Tears started flowing from her eyes.

This was the scene that Alpha Jax met when he came into the living room. He was surprised to see Aurora crying silently like a child that had been wronged. He quickly went up to her and crouched down.

"Sweetheart, what happened? Why are you crying?", Alpha Jax asked worriedly.

Aurora was still sniffing her nose. She looked at him and burst into fresh tears. Alpha Jax was confused at her sudden outburst. Why was she crying like this? Did something happen to her?

Uncle Max who was busy with the cooks came into the sitting room and was met with Alpha Jax's angry face. He turned to his side and saw Aurora crying. He thought Alpha Jax had made her cry so he walked closer to him and gave him a hard smack on his head.

"You brat! What have you done to my sweet Aurora?", He asked in anger.

"Ouch, Uncle. I didn't do anything to her. I met her crying like this", Alpha Jax replied rubbing his head. One day this old man is going to break his head into two because of Aurora. He has to be very careful around her to avoid being smacked again.

Aurora looked guiltily at her mate who was rubbing his head. She then put her down as tears keep falling. She doesn't even know why she was crying. All she knew was that she was hungry and drowsy too.

"I am hungry…and…and I want to sleep too", she suddenly said as she raised her head up to look at her mate. She looked so pitiful with those big round eyes of hers.

Alpha Jax who was thinking something had happened to her was speechless. Was she crying because she was hungry and…drowsy? What the heck??? Did he just got a free smacking?

He remembered the doctor talking about pregnancy hormones. Could this be one of them? Arrrrrrrgh! This girl won't kill him!

Even Uncle Max was short of words. He looked at his nephew with guilt. He apologized silently with his eyes. How can someone just burst into tears because of hunger and drowsiness? All she had to do was say she wanted to eat or sleep. Pregnant women are surely something else!

Alpha Jax suppressed his anger before he carried her to the dining table. She was still pouting even as she sat on the dining table. He looked at her and beckoned her to eat but she burst into tears again.

"You caused this Jax! You caused it…I.. just look at me crying like a baby!", She said angrily as the tears kept flowing.

Alpha Jax was so confused that he didn't know what to do. He took out his phone and quickly sent a message to Aurora's mother. He really didn't know what to do. Is it this hard to be a father?

After about two minutes of torturous waiting, Aurora's mother finally texted back.

It's the pregnancy. Just pet her and make her happy, she will soon be alright.

After reading the message Alpha smiled broadly and sat closer to her.

"Yes, baby. I caused it and I am willing to take any punishment. Just tell me what you want me to do as my punishment?", Alpha Jax coaxed her.

She looked at him pitifully before she broke into a cunning smile.

"Feed me…I can't feed myself", Aurora said looking at him like a spoiled child.

"I will gladly feed you, baby", Alpha Jax said as he picked up the cutlery to feed Aurora.

He wondered what next he was going to do.

Aurora's pregnancy pranks increased by the day. Sometimes she would wake up in the middle of the night crying and when asked what the matter was, she would say she doesn't want to sleep anymore. Alpha Jax would have to take her for walks around the mansion before she would finally feel drowsy.

It's been three days of torture for Jax. He couldn't go to the office because Aurora refused to allow him. He couldn't sleep in the night either because she didn't allow him too.

Alpha Jax was so broken that he usually fell asleep anytime Aurora gives him breathing space or whenever her mother comes visiting. He had told the mother to move in with them at the ancestral house.

Aurora's mother had to decline because the distance from the ancestral house to Maya's school was very far. She explained to Alpha Jax that It will be less than a week to Maya's holiday, only then can she move in.

Alpha Jax was taking a nap with Aurora on his lap while he operated his phone. His phone suddenly rang. It was Beta Rufus calling him.

"Rufus, you better tell me you are around already or just cut the damn phone! I don't have time for your excuses", he said in an irritated tone.

Beta Rufus who was on the other line was surprised at the Alpha's tone. And did he just sense tiredness? That should explain why he is so angry.

"I am almost home, Alpha. I… I just wanted to tell you I will come over tomorrow because today is the welcoming ceremony of my mate", Beta Rufus quickly said.

"Alright, make sure you are here by tomorrow. I am so tired, let's talk later", Alpha Jax said before cutting the call.

Aurora stirred in her sleep at the sound of the voices. Alpha Jax who was able to finally take a nap was so afraid of waking her up. He picked her up gently and placed her gently on the bed. He began cuddling her like a baby so she could sleep. She finally drifted to sleep after much cuddling by him.

It was almost dark when Aurora woke up from her nap. She wanted to stretch her body but she found that she was held by strong arms. His scent wafted through her nose as she drew closer to inhale it. She couldn't get enough of it as she pressed her body closer to him. She stared at those parted lips waiting to be kissed.

Aurora bent closer and stole a kiss from him. She quickly withdrew her lips but the urge to taste it was still there. She was contemplating on whether to continue the kiss or not when Alpha Jax whispered into her ears.

"Having cold feet? You shouldn't have done that, you know. I don't steal kisses, I take them…and devour them. Want to have a try?", His voice was musky as she suddenly felt weak in the knees.

"I…I…I…didn't steal anything from you", she stammered.

"Yes, you did or maybe I should refresh your memory?", He said as he pounced on her lips devouring every single taste of it.

Alpha Jax was so elated. It's been days since he touched her or felt her skin on him. He missed her so much when he was on a mission that he ran home earlier. But getting here, she was rushed to the hospital and then these pregnancy pranks all along.

He missed touching and cuddling her. He missed her moans. He held her face and kissed her hungrily again, this time, Aurora responded to him too. His hands moved all over her body as she whimpered and moaned softly. He really missed having her under him, writhing in pleasure.

Before they knew it, they were already naked and Jax was about to come in when Aurora suddenly pushed him off. He stared at her in confusion. What has he done wrong this time? Is this also the pregnancy moods?

Aurora, who just pushed him off, ran into the bathroom and locked it. Alpha Jax was confused as he stared at her fleeing back. This is really hard! He thought.

He stared at his hard member and he sighed loudly. This girl is surely going to be the death of him.

He had been observing her weird behavior these days. Sometimes, she would be loving towards him but most times it's like she saw a monster in his face because she would become angry at any small thing he does.

Alpha Jax wondered what she could be hiding. What is really in her heart? Is it really to him? If only she could just open up to him. He decided to wait for her.

Aurora who rushed into the bathroom, opened the tap and started crying again. She had promised not to allow him touch her till she finds out the truth. But she did not only allowed him but she also kissed him back. She was so disappointed in herself, she find it hard to restrain herself around him. Could it be the mate bond? She couldn't help but ask herself.

"Stop lying to yourself each time, Aurora. You know you are in love with him. Just let it go…if you can't, then talk to him", Aliya said.

"Aliya, each time I tried asking him. Something always comes up. I don't know what to do", she said.

"Aurora, deep in your heart, do you think he did it?", Aliya asked.

"Aliya, I saw the evidence. It was written in the file", she argued.

"You didn't see everything, Aurora. You saw what you wished to see. Did you read the file?", Aliya asked.

"I don't need to ask, Aliya", she replied.

"What about your mother? Is she lying too?", Aliya asked.

"It's possible, maybe she doesn't want her daughter to leave her mate", Aurora said trying to convince herself.

"You have changed, Aurora. You changed because of vengeance which you might regret later", Aliya said before she blocked their communication.

Aurora waited for a while before she finally decided to come out. She told herself several times that she hasn't changed. She was still that same Aurora. She was still her daddy's girl.

She can't help it. She missed him too much. She needs to get some fresh air. She needs to go to a new environment. She wasn't leaving but she needed to go somewhere to distract her mind from those thoughts.

As she pushed the door opened, she saw Alpha Jax had already dressed up. Where was he going at this time of the night? It's almost dinner time. She couldn't help frowning. Is he keeping other mistresses after Jasmine left?

Alpha Jax who was pouring himself a glass of wine looked up and saw Aurora staring daggers at him. What has he done again? This woman's pregnancy is surely troublesome. It's just a month and he was already fed up with her tactics.

He ignored her and continued drinking his wine. He had decided to go to Rufus' mate's welcoming ceremony. Maybe, he might find some peace there. He had wanted to ask her to follow him but he is not ready for any barrage of tears. He really needs some peace.

"Where are you going this late? Are you meeting another woman?"She asked, looking at him fiercely.

Alpha Jax almost choked on his wine. Where is this woman getting her weird ideas from?

"Sweetheart, how can you say that? I have never touched another woman except you since I met you", Alpha Jax said.

"Ummph! Then tell me where you are going to?", Aurora said, eyeing him.

"I am going to Rufus' home. They are having a welcoming ceremony for his mate. They just got married", Alpha Jax explained.

"Uh? Rufus is married? When?", She asked surprised.

"I really don't know the details, sweetheart", Alpha Jax said.

"I want to come with you, can I? I feel suffocated here.. I really need fresh air", Aurora said as she looked at him with those big eyes of hers.

Alpha Jax took the last drop of wine and swallowed hard. Does this woman know how much effect she had on him?

"Okay, let's get you dressed up as a Luna", Alpha Jax said as he took out his phone to call a stylist.

Aurora walked up to him and stopped him from making the call.

"No need for a stylist. I am pregnant. I don't want anything stressful. Just give me a few minutes, I will get ready soon. Wait for me in the sitting room", she said as she shoved him away.

Finally she would be breathing fresh air away from all these dramas.
