Chapter 59: Chapter 59

Aurora looked at the angry old man who was scolding Jax seriously. This must be the legendary uncle of the Alpha. Mason had told her a lot about Uncle Max.

According to Mason, this man was a doting brother to the late Alpha. He relegated the position of an Alpha to his brother when he couldn't find his wolf ten years after he was supposed to turn.

Uncle Max didn't want to be a burden to his brother so he left the pack for another ten years. He travelled far and wide to gain knowledge and experience. Alpha Jax owe his science project to this Uncle of his.

After ten years, Alpha Jax's father, begged him to return to the pack. He threatened to kill himself if Max didn't come back. Due to his brother's threat, he came back to the Pack.

Three days later, his wolf appeared. It was a joyous occasion as Alpha Jax's father threw a party for his brother. He also wanted to give him back the throne. On the day of the party, Uncle Max refused the throne claiming it was rightfully his brother's.

The whole pack was very shocked and that led to a large amount of respect being showered on him.

Uncle Max worked tirelessly beside his brother till his death. He was so broken that he went to live in seclusion.

Aurora had deep respect for this old man.

"My dear Aurora, I will be picking you up tomorrow so we will go to the ancestral house. Don't be afraid of this brat. He needs to do the right thing before he even thinks of being one inch close to you", Uncle Max puffed up.

"How did you know her name?", Alpha Jax asked, baffled, Gamma Enrique must have told you".

Then he told his uncle, "Uncle, I can't let her go with you. How do you expect me to stay without her? Please just do this once. I have promised to do the right thing. There were some issues between us at first but we have resolved it. Just give me some days and I promise to give her and my child a worthy identity".

"She stays with me till you do the needful", Uncle Max was adamant.

Alpha Jax turned to look pleadingly at Aurora. Only she can stop his Uncle

"You brat! Don't you dare threaten her with that look. If you insist any more than this, I will take her away right this minute. It's your choice", Uncle Max said, looking at him fiercely.

Alpha Jax was so angry that he gritted his teeth as he controlled his emotions. He just got together with Aurora, why should he part with her again?

"Uncle, I will go with you in the morning. But I need a favor from you. Can my mother and sister come too?", Aurora cuts in before these Uncle and Nephew would start slitting their throats.

"Aurora…", Alpha Jax was not happy.

"Jax, if you really want to be with me, I am sure Uncle won't mind an additional person. You can come stay with us before you settle things with Uncle Max", Aurora winked at him.

"Of course that brat can come but he won't share the same room with you", Uncle Max said as he grinned wickedly.

Alpha Jax threw him an unhappy look before nodding his head.

"So it's settled. Jax, you have to send a message to mom so she doesn't go to the mansion in the morning. We will pick her up on our way to your uncle's house", Aurora said. She added", Am really tired. Can I sleep now?".

"You can sleep, sweetheart. I will escort Uncle Max out", Alpha Jax said as he planted a kiss on her forehead.

Then he led the old man out of the ward.

Aurora finally breathed a sigh of relief as the door of the ward closed. At least she could think about all that has happened tonight.

She touched her stomach again as she smiled. She was really going to be a mother. She was going to be the mother to the child of her father's murderer.

Though she had decided to forget her plans, it still hurts to think about it. She can't stop her heart from hurting everytime she sees his face.

Aurora always remembers that fateful day. She remembered her father gruesome murder…she remembers his pleading which fell on deaf ears.

But she was still baffled about something. Why did these mafias kill her father? What is the connection between her father and them?

After Aurora decided not to kill Alpha Jax again. She thought deeply about the incident. It's not like she hadn't thought about it but she didn't want to believe her father was involved with them.

It wasn't until her mother told her to forego her mission did she think deeply about her father's incident. According to her research on the Blood Mafias, they don't attack unless you provoke them. And they usually give you warnings at least thrice before they attack.

She was too blinded with revenge all these years that she rarely thought about her father's connection with these people.

What is really her father's connection to them? She needs to find out soon.

Sarah, Aurora's mother, sat down on a couch sipping the tea Clara just served her. She was really tired today. She decided to spend the night here instead of going back home tonight. Maya was already fast asleep.

Clara walked in with her tea also. She was obviously excited at the prospect of being a grand aunt to the Alpha's child. She heard the Royal growl too. It means the Alpha accepted the child. She was so happy for her friend.

Many times she had blamed her brother for putting Sarah in such a mess. Though she knew Sarah through her brother, she bonded deeply with her. She became the sister she had been hoping to have.

So she was really hurt when she knew her brother was going to die and leave Sarah grief stricken. She had warned her brother several times to desist from his corrupt ways but he gave a deaf ear. Aurora's father believed that he wouldn't be caught in his corrupt ways.

By the time he realized it, it was too late. He was too deep and he had to pay with his life. Even though Clara doesn't know the leader of the blood mafias, she knew he was a fierce unforgiving man. She was brought back from her reverie by Sarah's voice.

"Clara, I can't believe we're going to be grandmothers soon. It's such an exhilarating feeling", Sarah said, barely hiding her excitement.

"Yes, Sarah. When Mason heard the Royal growl, he immediately ran to my room. He was so excited as he was shouting that he was going to be a big uncle to the next Alpha. Could you believe that boy? What if the child was a girl?", Clara said as she sip her tea excitedly.

"It seems Mason and Maya are on the same page but Maya believes she is going to have two siblings", Sarah said smiling.

"Two siblings? Did she see it in her dream?", Clara asked.

"No, she said something like she felt two life forces around Aurora. That child is becoming weirder by the day. How could a child say such things?", Sarah asked.

Clara thought deeply before an idea popped into her head", Sarah, do you think Maya might be a seer?".

"Clara, how can she be a seer? There hasn't been a seer amongst the werewolves for centuries. Historians even begin to doubt their theories. Seers are mostly amongst the witches. Please don't say that. I don't want my daughter's life to be in danger", Sarah said in an horrified tone.

"Sarah, even if you don't want to accept it. Maya is a seer. We just have to hide her well", Clara said touching her friend's shoulder.

"Clara, do you think I don't know? I do know but if anyone finds out about this, Maya's life would be in danger. Everyone would want to take her", Sarah said.

"Yeah, that's true. I am sorry, I won't say that again. But we have to caution her to avoid anyone knowing about her powers", Clara said after a while.

"So tell me, what is the Alpha planning to do about Aurora's condition? Does he still want to keep her hidden? He has to announce her soon or his child would become illegitimate", Clara changed the topic.

"Announcing her wasn't Jax's fault. Aurora caused it", Sarah said with a deep sigh.

"What do you mean?"Clara asked, confused.

"Don't worry, Clara. I will tell you everything on a good day. I promise", Sarah said as she stood up", I am feeling sleepy already. Can you please show me the guest room?"

"Okay Sarah but remember I will always be here for you", she said, leading Sarah through the corridor that leads to the guest room.

"Yes, I know. You are my only family", Sarah said as she smiled at her friend.

She needs to settle Aurora's matter quickly. She doesn't want her daughter to make a mistake.
