A MONTH LATER...

Alpha Jax had noticed Aurora had been really different since that night one month ago. She was lovelier, livelier, and caring. She always makes sure that he is satisfied in every aspect without complaints. Especially their sex life which had been great.

Every morning, he finds it difficult to leave the house to the office and in the evenings, he rushes home to be with his mate.

Alpha Jax realized he had slowly fallen deeply in love with this tigress of his. He just can't stay a day without thinking about her. He wished to make them a perfect family.

Alpha Jax's life had become perfect. He planned to take her to see his uncle this evening so they can discuss their marriage. He had to make it legal so she can be his Luna officially.

He had also planned to take her to see his parents. He wants to thank his parents for changing his mate's mind since the last time he visited them.

He ordered his Butler to bring her to his study. His workload had become bigger due to the threat from other packs, especially Alpha Derek's pack. He has to personally handle it.

Butler James knocked on the door with a reluctant Aurora. This was the last place she wished to be in but she had no choice, she had to continue the act till she found a way to strike.

When Alpha Jax saw her standing stiffly at the study's door, he got up from his chair to cuddle her from behind. Aurora's body loosens a bit as she tried to force a smile out.

"Darling, are you okay?", He asked.

"I am fine. I am just not used to being here", she replied.

"I am sorry. I have been so busy and I had to finish these files. I just wanted to tell you something and…also take in your fragrance for energy", he said, still holding her.

"It's okay. I am a little paranoid these days. I don't know why. So, what do you want to talk to me about?"She brushed it off as she really wanted to get out of there quickly.

"Darling, get ready this evening. I want to take you to see my uncle. He has been dying to meet you", Alpha Jax said cuddling her from behind. He couldn't help drawing in her scent. It has a calming effect on his mind.

"Could we make it some other time? I am really tired. Let's make it next week, I want us to be together throughout this week", Aurora replied softly into his ears.

"How can I refuse when you whisper into my ears like this? Darling, why don't we go on a vacation? Just the two of us. You know I have been really busy these past weeks", Alpha Jax said.

"That would be great, Jax", Aurora replied as her eyes suddenly shone brighter. She excused herself

Alpha Jax watched as Aurora fled from the study. Is she shy? Why is she in a hurry to leave the study room? He pushed those thoughts aside as he delved into his work again.

His workload had actually increased because he gave Beta Rufus some time off. He wanted to go and search for his mate who ran away the next day after he found her.

When Alpha Jax found out it was Jasmine's older sister, he could understand the girl's plight. Maybe she thought she would be captured just like her family.

Beta Rufus had been gone for almost two weeks. Hopefully, he will be back this week so he can lessen his workload and spend more time with Aurora.

He can't wait to announce her to the world as his mate and… Luna.

Aurora ran straight to their bedroom and shut the door tightly before breaking down in tears. Going into that study again brought out her pent-up emotions. Emotions she had hidden deeply into her heart. She wants to engrave it with the blood of her father's killer.

But now, it seemed that plan wasn't forthcoming. It's been a month of sacrificing her body and service to that murderer. Hoping to find a way to bring him down.

She had tried to be the best woman for Alpha Jax so he could let his guard down around her but still, she couldn't find a way to execute her plans.

Aurora had obeyed his every word and granted his every request just to win him over. She knows he is already in love with her but she just can't find the perfect time for her revenge.

"Aaaah! Why am I so useless? Why can't I kill him yet! Am so useless!", She let out a muffled scream.

Then she remembered he had said they would go on vacation. She had to make plans to kill him during the vacation because it was just going to be them alone.

"Father, please help me to avenge you", she prayed silently to her father.

She would make sure that her plans turns out perfect. She had to prepare for the best way to exert her revenge.

Aurora knew Alpha Jax was stronger than her so she made a plan to get access to a drug that would make someone weak and helpless. That way she can easily stab his heart.

But before they go on vacation, she had to make preparations to send her mother and sister to meet with Craig. She had told him to assist his family to leave this pack to a very far away place with a new identity.

Aurora knows that once she killed the Alpha, her family would be the first to be killed. She was doing it for her family but that same family would know no peace after her revenge.

So she met up with Craig and told him about her plans. Though he was against it at first because of the risk, Aurora was able to convince him with her plans.

Craig would also be the one to purchase the drug she would use to weaken Alpha Jax. She had already shown him where to get it.

Aurora had everything planned out but what she couldn't predict was when the opportunity would come. It seems the moon goddess is on her side too. The vacation would be a perfect opportunity.

Yesterday, Craig had sent a message that he had gotten the drug. She planned to go visit him today so she could collect it. She finally had a glimmer of hope.

She thinks Beta Rufus' absence was to her own gain as the security on her side had lessened. She had convinced Alpha Jax to lessen the guards around her as he hadn't announced her identity yet. She was still safe to move around.

She got ready to go meet Craig but first, she had to visit her mother. She had to convince her to meet Craig if she heard anything. She hopes her mother listens to her.

She got dressed to go and see her mother. She couldn't bring herself to go to the study again so she called Butler James to inform him of her visit to her mother.

Aurora told Butler James to pass the message to Alpha Jax as she was in a hurry. The Butler nodded before leaving.

Aurora took one of Alpha Jax's cars and drove straight to her father's house. She needed to convince her mother but how?

When Aurora parked the car in the garage, she caught sight of her mother's familiar silhouette. Her mother was busy trimming the flowers in the front yard.

"Mother!", She called out to her mother who was already walking towards her.

"Aurora, you are looking gorgeous by the day. The alpha does treat you well. Come, let's go inside", her mother beamed as she embraced her tightly.

They went into the house chatting. Her mother quickly went to the kitchen to brew her favorite herbal tea for her. The aroma wafted through the whole house.

"Mom, I will come back home every day just to have a taste of this heavenly tea", Aurora said as she broke into a wide grin.

"That's if you would be coming every day with that possessive mate of yours. I wondered how he allowed you to come to visit me twice just this week alone", her mother complained.

Aurora smiled without knowing. Alpha Jax was one hell of a jealous man. He monitors everything she does and everywhere she goes. That's why she finds it difficult to do anything these past months. She wanted to say something but her stomach suddenly made a hungry sound.

Her mother laughed heartily as she made her way to the kitchen to prepare something for them.

"You must be hungry. I haven't eaten too and it's almost time for Maya to come back from school. I will just prepare enough food for the three of us", her mother said.

"Mom, I will help you. I am bored. Back in the mansion, I don't do anything. Let me help", Aurora said as she followed her mother into the kitchen.

She would take the opportunity to discuss the issue with her mother and hopefully, she will understand and agree with her plans.
