Chapter 274: Chapter 274

###Chapter 273 One Wrong Step – Part 11

This was so awkward!

When he came out of the bathroom, Jordan was already dressed and saw that Ivelle was wrapped in a bath towel. His eyes were deep and he said, "Tomorrow, the company will have annual leave. Let's go to see our aunt and then go back to Hempstead."

"No!" She spoke with a pale face. "I've booked a flight for today."

"Then return it!" He spoke in a frighteningly cold voice.

She pursed her lips, frowned, put up with it, and said, "You can come tomorrow. It's troublesome even if you take a leave."

He looked at her, and his slender hand reached out to her. She twisted her eyebrow. "What's the matter?"

"I'll give it back for you!"

"No!" She was not interested in quarreling with him, so she turned around and went to the dressing room. When she came out, Jordan was gone.

After tidying up for a while, she looked at the clock and saw that it was almost time, so she went downstairs with her suitcase.

At this time, she saw a message from the airline, which was a refund message.

She was stupefied for a moment and realized that Jordan did it.

After suppressing her anger all morning, she couldn't help it. With a bang, she smashed her phone.

When he went downstairs, he sat at the table for breakfast. Marcela Yeardly was not there, so he only baked a few slices of bread.

She suddenly picked up the bread on the table and threw it at him angrily. "Jordan, aren't you so interesting?"

He frowned with a cold look in his black eyes. "Say clearly what you want!"

"Will you listen to me if I speak clearly? Can you really listen?" She roared, "Why did you refund my ticket without my consent? Jordan, what do you think am I? Your toy, a robot under your control, that will listen to you like a puppet?"

He folded his lips and did not open his mouth. He just looked at her motionless with his black eyes. After a while, he said, "So you're very angry?"

She was stupefied for a moment, pressed on, and angrily said, "Not really, but please don't touch my things without my permission next time. It doesn't matter if you don't want to divorce. We may just be delaying each other, but please respect me. That's all I'm asking for, please!"

She said this politely and alienatingly. She really was a little exhausted.

Instead of looking at his face, she went upstairs, rebooked her flight, and went downstairs with her suitcase.

He stood in the hall, looking at her with cold black eyes as if to see through her.

He carried the suitcase to the car, but luckily, he didn't follow her.

Driving out of the villa, she was relieved to see that he didn't follow her.

She picked up her ticket at the airport and saw that it was still early. She found a book in the waiting room and sat on a chair to read it.

The girl who suddenly approached her to say hello startled her.

"Miss Ivelle, are you going back to Hempstead today, too?" The girl wore a fashionable coat with a knee-length knitted skirt and short boots.

She looked at her delicate cheeks for a long time without remembering when she knew the little girl.

Seeing that she was dazed and confused, the little girl smiled and said, "Miss Ivelle, do you not remember me? We have just met. My name is Michelle Remington. In the Garfield City Night Show, you and Mr. Weld saved me."

She was stupefied, but she remembered. She couldn't help wondering, "Are you from Hempstead, too?"

She nodded, smiled, and said, "Well, my hometown is Hempstead and Nashville. I go to school in Madrid."

After a pause, she said awkwardly, "The conditions in my family are not very good. My parents provided me with no money to go to school after I went to high school. That's why I worked the night shift in Garfield City to make money. Because I didn't come out with them, I was bullied. Thank you and Mr. Weld that day, otherwise, I don't know what that Mr. Cole will do to me!"

Ivelle nodded and understood that Michelle was not a sociable person, so when she saw that Michelle had finished, she had nothing to answer and was silent.

Michelle seemed to enjoy chatting with her. When she saw her reading, she smiled, and said, "I see that Miss Ivelle also likes Notre Dame. I just read that two days ago."

Ivelle nodded, paused, looked at her, and said, "There are still a few days left for St. Patrick's Day. Why don't you work part-time in the capital for a few days before you go back?"

"Mr. Weld arranged for me a part-time job in Hempstead. I am close to home and can go back until New year's Eve." She opened her mouth, smiling at the corners of her mouth as if to mention that Liam Weld was very happy.

Ivelle nodded lightly and thought for a moment. Liam didn't seem to have a company in Hempstead. What could he arrange for her?

Curious, she couldn't help saying, "What did he arrange for you?"

"I majored in accounting, so he contacted me with an audit company called Credit Audit, which has only sprung up in recent years. They happen to have a lot of business at the end of the year, and I will have not only a basic salary but also a commission."

With a smile on her face, she looked at Ivelle and said, "By the way, Miss Ivelle, you have gone back to Hempstead for the St. Patrick's Day. Will Mr. Weld also come to Hempstead?"

Looking at the girl's expression, she wondered if she had a crush on Liam.

Ivelle shook her head. "I don't know. He should stay in the capital."

She said in a whisper, "He clearly said that he would come to Hempstead for St. Patrick's Day."

Ivelle didn't ask any more questions. She looked at the clock and saw that it was almost time, so she said goodbye to her and was ready to board the plane.

Jon was waiting for Ivelle at the airport, took her into the car, started the car, and he started talking.

"Can't you turn off your phone the next time you have something to do with Jordan? It makes me look like a pervert. Isn't that embarrassing for me?"

Ivelle pursed her lips and her face was a little hot. "Sorry, it won't happen again."

He looked sideways at her and squinted, "Did you use contraception?"

When he mentioned the topic of having children, Ivelle was so sensitive that she froze slightly and said, "Mm-hmm!"

He nodded and said, "Good. Don't get pregnant again. Your body is not suitable for pregnancy now. Besides, when you go back, later on, you will go to a place with me."

"Where to?"

"See the doctor. The last time you had hemoptysis, the doctor said that although you woke up, it was very serious. If this thing happens frequently, you will lose your life. I visited an old doctor of traditional Western medicine, so I will show you." He drove at the same time.

Looking at her face, he said, "Have you been staying up late these days?"

Ivelle clasped her lips and pinched her eyebrows. "It's insomnia!"

All were chronic diseases. As long as she could be cured at once, she would cooperate with the doctor. However, they were all chronic diseases. She had no patience and no energy.

He sighed. "If there is really no way for you and Jordan to be apart for a while and cure the disease first, there is no way to put it off like this."

"He doesn't want a divorce!" He slammed on the brakes as she spoke, as there was a red light in front of him.

He looked at her and stared. "Are you crazy? It's okay. What are you thinking about divorce for? He has money. He has a figure. He is good-looking. Yet you want to divorce him? Are you not having too much to eat?"

She looked at him and said, "If he's so nice, then why don't you live with him?"
