Chapter 168: Chapter 168

Chapter 168: I don’t have time for this.

As the first born son, Henry had expected to inherit the family but due to his older sister outclassing him in almost everything he put his mind to, he became more and more worried when he began hearing the servants going on and on about how it would be better if the Viscount decided to have his sister take over the household by having her marry someone into the family instead.

Normally he wouldn’t have cared since most noble households had no intentions of doing such but, with more and more time going by, he soon discovered that his father was gradually begining to entertain such thoughts. Such things led to him soon secretly despising Victoria.

Even though she never tried to outright outshine him like she did Esmeralda, Henry’s growing paranoia had led to him trying to do his best to escape her shadow but at the rate things were going, he was worried his attempts would all be in vain in the end.

Back at the bar-inn, Su Pings enlightenment stats continued to go up as he mastered spell after spell in the book but, since the book only contained Lvl 2 material, he didn’t gain as much points as he did in one go, like when he mastered the Lvl 3 spell: Shape Shift. The source of thɪs content is nοvelfire.net

But he also discovered that he didn’t just gain enlightenment stat points from grasping skills but he could also gain them by grasping magical principals. In a sense, he could continuously gain more and more enlightenment stats by improving his magical knowledge.

Moreover, he also felt that magical knowledge wasn’t the only way to improve it, but, he had no way of testing out that theory for now.

[New Skill Acquired: Summon Undead(E)]

• Summon Undead(E): Allows you to summon any and all types of undead within Lvl 2 prowess. Type of undead can be chosen when summoning. (Warning: The Skill, Summon Undead, currently allows you to summon all undead within Lvl 2 jurisdiction, including all Lvl 2 tiers. Summoned Undead may prove dangerous if the summoned undead wish to rebel against the summoner.)

Su Ping eyes blinked with surprise at the skills description, he pondered the warning for awhile but in the end, he was more excited by the fact that he could summon undead of any and all tiers as well. Didn’t that mean he could also summon a Lvl 2 undead of Lord tier?

’ Will it be as strong as me though.’ He wondered to himself. He wasn’t trying to be cocky but he was well aware of the racial advantages dragons possessed, even though he wasn’t a true dragon yet, his Dark Dragon King bloodline made him far more powerful than most races of the same level.

’ it’s best to test that out somewhere less populated.’ Su Ping said to himself. He then closed the book before placing it within his storage ring.

’ They’re still a few things I can learn from the spell book. It seems necromancy is far more valuable than I thought.’ Su Ping smiled to himself. ’ Having completed most of the book. The remaining part should be easy to finish next time I read it, alas I don’t have the time to study it anymore.’

" With the viscount being temporary occupied, I need to hurry and begin my plan." Su Pings lips curled upwards ever so slightly. " And what better way is there than to test out this new skill of mine." Su Ping said to himself.

With that in mind, he went downstairs and left the bar, heading down the streets towards the southern gate. Like Su Ping mentioned. Since he didn’t know just what might pop up when he used the new skill, he decided to head out of the city to be safe when he tried it.

" Somewhere a few hundreds of meters away should be fine." Su Ping eyed his surroundings before finding an uninhabited alley which he entered. He then proceeded to strip naked completely before storing his clothing into his storage ring.

" Hopefully I’ll soon be able to find a fabric that doesn’t inconvenience my transformations in the near future." Su Ping sighed helplessly.

" It’s best not to suddenly leave through the cities gates. Victoria might’ve helped me out of that cell but I can’t help but feel that I’m still not exempted from suspicion just yet." Su Pings eyes squinted slightly. He knew she was the viscount’s daughters but with his experience in his first life, he knew better than to underestimate the stubbornness of man.

With a single thought, he activated his skill and morphed into a raven. Holding the storage ring with his feet, he flapped his wings and soared into the sky.

He flew through the air, the wind brushing against his feather’s felt rejuvenating and relaxing. Being up so high, he got a birds eye view of the entire area.

Su Ping spotted the southern city gate along the city wall and headed in that direction. Flying over the wall, he left the city, soon heading farther and farther away, flying over dense vegetation. His keen eyes allowed him to see the various wildlife below. The scene from up above was truly breathtaking indeed.

He soon began to descend before entering the forest, landing admisst countless trees. In a short moment, Su Ping retrieved his clothes which he put on after shifting back into his human form.

’ This spot should be good enough.’ Su Ping said to himself. His face looked satisfied. His current location was at least a few kilometers away from the city. Meaning if anything unexpected happens, he wouldn’t have to worry about attracting unwanted attention.

’ And If someone does come, This place is more than discreet enough to take care of them.’

Su Ping strongly believed that only monsters would be attracted if something happened, but on the off chance of a person coming. He didn’t worry about it, since he was more than confident in his abilities to take care of such nuisances.

’ But, first let’s see how the skill reacts to a certain amount of mana.’

[Activating Skill: Summon Undead]

Darkness suddenly began to emerge out of thin air while gathering at a single point like a shapeless mass within the space in front of of Su Ping.

The shapeless mass soon began to take form, Su Ping’s eyes turned intrigued when the mass took on a humanoid form, soon the darkness slowly pealed off like dissipating paper before revealing something underneath.

A figure clothed in a dirty, burlap sack that was covered in tiers, bloodstains and had a repulsive stench. Her head came with lengthy silver hair with a body covered in pale supple skin covered in bruises and injuries, luscious blood red lips and an enchanting pair of scarlet eyes.

Before Su Ping could say a word, the woman before him vomited a mouthful of blood then collapsed onto the ground the next moment.

’ Did the summoning fail?’ Su Ping stared at the seemingly injured creature before him with doubt in his eyes.

He crouched Infront of her before grabbing her hair and lifting her head up. His brows furrowed a little when he saw that she wasn’t responding.

’ Her body still has a strong amount of vitality even while I can’t hear her heart beat... She’s supposed to be a vampire so how come she’s suddenly defective.’ Su Ping sighed.

" Please...I need.. some blood." The vampires cracked lips parted slightly. Her hand slowly reaching to grab Su Ping’s arm.

" You want some blood? I don’t have time for this." Su Ping let go of her hair, her face slamming on the ground.

Su Pings eyes glowed purple black and dark tendrils quickly wrapped around her body from head to toe.

In the blink of an eye, her injuries began to heal at an alarming rate as he mimicked the same healing spell from the late captain.

"Huh?" The Vampires eyes suddenly opened in surprise, blinking as if trying to take in what just happened.

" Good, now you look capable of working." Su Ping said. The dark tendrils surrounding her vanished

, except for one that suddenly shot into the forest before returning the next moment with a horned rabbit stuck within it’s bindings.
