Chapter 7: Chapter 7

When the Charity Event concluded, I pretended to be someone with a true heart who wanted to support cancer patients who wanted to live longer lives. I want to assist people, but I don’t want to deceive myself, because that’s not why I came here in the first place. Many corporate leaders approached me after the event. They inquire about my business. I didn’t answer them about it and pretended to be a model, wishing to help those in genuine need.

I stayed there as they eventually returned home. I had no idea what to do next because Adonis and I had not discussed what to do when the event would end. I’m not sure what his orders were because so many people came up to me, but it doesn’t seem that disastrous that he didn’t give me any instructions because the rice is reaching the chicken. The chicken will simply sit there and wait for the rice so it can peck.

While I pretended to be busy, Cole approached me. I was ready to walk away when he grabbed my hand and dragged it towards him. I smiled in my mind because I didn’t expect Adonis’ plan to be this easy. Chance itself makes way for us to meet. Even though I was disgusted when he touched me, I forced myself to show my brightest and broadest smile.

“Oh! Mr. Dela Vega!” I exclaimed. I feigned to be astonished, then turned around to face him, as if someone was looking for me. “Thank goodness you recognized me since I was going to leave!” I expressed my delight at being able to view him up close. He was still clutching me and refusing to let go.

“I’m not sure whether there are any women left who have the compassion to help those in need. Then I met you. I am starting to believe it now.” He kissed my hand with a smile. Because I’m sick of what he did, I wanted to take his lips away from my hands! I have the impression that a large virus has infected the area! He spoke again after removing his lip from my fingers. “Could you tell me your name?”

In my imagination, I had already stabbed him countless times while I stared at him with my kind eyes. “Hasn’t my name already shown on my check?” I’m taking the hand he’s holding away from me because I’m becoming dizzy. I’m not often like this around others, but whenever I think about what he did to us, it’s as if everything I consumed a while ago wants to be spewed out by my stomach.

“I’d want to hear it straight from your lips.” I saw that everyone seemed tired. We’re the only ones here, and my heart is racing. I used to be comfortable because there were so many people here a while ago, but now that there are just the two of us, I’m afraid he’ll do something horrible, even though he doesn’t know me.

“Luna Clemonte.”

As an Adonis guard entered after I stated that, I sighed a sigh of relief. He bowed in front of us, not to Cole, but to show his respects to me. The guard had moved his two hands behind him and was now standing next to me. Cole walked over to me with a smile on his face. He was going to touch me when he was stopped by the hand of the guard who was accompanying me.

“I apologize, Mr. Dela Vega. When it comes to me, he keeps a close eye on everything.” I gave him a grin and took out the business card Adonis had given me. He said that’s what I’ll give whenever someone asks for my phone number.

I handed it to him, and he examined it. “You know, Mr. Dela Vega, we still have a lot of opportunities to meet up, not just at events, not just in business... maybe in other ways as well.”

I moved quicker than the guard, turning my back on him. Adonis’ white car caught my eye right away. I jumped into the backseat instantly. When I entered, he was sitting up straight, his legs crossed.

I screamed as the car moved. Because of my yelling, I’m sure it appalled the driver and the guard who assisted me earlier. I want to let out all of my rage. Adonis, on the other hand, just faked that his neck itched and then blew forcefully into his finger that came to his earlobe.

“Are you finished?” He’s still staring straight ahead, without even looking at me. He took out his iPad and began scrolling through the contents. Maybe he doesn’t have anything to say, so I faced him to give him what he wants and get rid of the aggravation in my body.

“Do you have any idea what that man did?! He kissed the back of my hand! Look here! Look here!” I showed him where Cole kissed me and to where he was holding me earlier. This guy, on the other hand, kept scrolling through his iPad as if he didn’t care what Cole had done to me. After a while, I just sat down on the seat and stared out the window.

He just talked as we were ready to enter the huge gate. “Didn’t you desire it, and you wanted to retaliate?” He unlocked the door after closing his iPad. I was still inside, motionless, when he abruptly came to a halt as one of his feet stepped out. “All I’m going to do is remind you. After you obtain what you want, you stated you’ll do anything I desire. Get up there as soon as possible and prepare yourself.”

My heart began to race as a result of what he said! Why is he in such a rush to discuss it?! I haven’t even gotten a smidgeon of retaliation towards Cole! But, fearing that he might abruptly rescind what we had decided, I dashed into his mansion to follow him. Yes! He lives in a mansion!

I’m also not sure why the wind was blowing differently. He brought me here! He carried all of my belongings here! He said that if we lived under the same roof, it would be easier for us to work together. He stated he wasn’t accustomed to being crammed, so I offered to simply chat in my apartment and that was ok. This haughty individual! Isn’t he the one who purchased that property?

As I was in a hurry to catch up with him, I stumbled a little and was caught by the guard who came after me earlier. I smiled at him then accompanied him on the walk.

“Does your boss behave like that? Arrogant? Everything he asks for must be carried out! I’m not sure he even knows how to smile!” I moved my gaze to the far door, where he was making his entrance. When I didn’t get a response the first time, I asked again. “Can you tell me your name? Are you going to pick me up every time?” Fortunately, I received his response to my second query.

“Yes, Miss,” He said. “I’m Mark, and I’ve been tasked with overseeing everything you do.” He walks in a straight line. Is this how Adonis guards are? Too devoted to him. I couldn’t even get a smidgeon of an unfavorable opinion from him.

It seems like the first time I came here when I went inside. Big and broad. I had a flashback to the first time I was here. I almost got lost trying to locate their restroom! You won’t even find the kitchen straight away! I suggest we turn his mansion into a playground if only he had a hide-and-seek game! I noticed I didn’t see a single helper as I strolled around looking for the arrogant Adonis. I used to run into someone just as I was about to enter.

As I looked around, I spotted Adonis exiting their first-floor restroom. He had a pail and a map with him. I’m not sure if this man has any powers, but he’s already dressed in his home clothes. Khaki shorts with a white T-shirt. He abruptly halted in front of me as I watched him hoist the bucket of water while clutching the map. I was taken aback when he handed me the map out of nowhere. I just stared at it as if I didn’t understand what it was for. I’m not sure why he’s handing it to me.

“Didn’t you say you’d do everything? Begin sweeping. You cook after that since I’m hungry. Don’t worry, you won’t be cleaning the entire mansion at first; perhaps just the basement, but if you work hard, the stairs will be broad, as they are dirty.” He gave me a serious look.

“W-wait! What exactly do you mean? Are you serious about me cleaning here?” My eyeballs are dilating! Even though I lived on the road, I never wiped or clean a house! My hands are the smoothest and most immaculate you’ll ever see! I’m not sure how to sweep! I have no idea how to perform chores!

“Do I appear to be joking?” He didn’t hesitate any longer as he ascended the stairwell. He stared at the driver and Mark before going to the second floor. “You may claim your pay from my office if someone attempts to help her.” It terrified the guards, even though there was no threat in his words since they swallowed.

When he eventually made it to the top, I realized I was going to clean the home! “ADONIS!” I know that no matter how loud I scream, he won’t hear me. I just sat there with the map in my hand. However, I noted that the floor wasn’t particularly filthy, so I’m confident that it would be simple to clean. I’ve already begun to clean the kitchen. The lobby is at the next stop. The mansion was so large that my sweat was flowing down my neck. The lobby was the last one I went through. I dropped my body on the sofa after cleaning up just as Adonis walked down the stairs. With a grimace on his face, he stared at me.

“Are you finished with your cooking?” He was holding a tablet in his hands. He didn’t look at me when he said it. He proceeded directly to the kitchen. I followed him and then yelled again because I was irritated.

“What exactly do you mean by cooking? Where have all of your helpers vanished?! Do you have any idea how many hours I spent there simply to make your mansion’s floor shine?!”I gasped when I told him, but he didn’t seem to appreciate it.

“I understand. That is, after all, why you should cook now.”

My head became even heated as a result of what he said. I locked my gaze on him. Did he think I’d be a good cook? He’ll die of starvation! When he talked, I was going to leave the kitchen when he stopped me.

“Okay. I suppose I should remove this plan for what you’re going to do next.”
