Chapter 184: Chapter 184

Luna’s Point of view

My heart was racing, and it felt much better. Adonis didn't interject or say anything, just remained there and watched us. I also don't want to offend him by speaking negatively about him. I prefer that he is around and that he does not match up with this woman's business.

"Why don't you ask Adonis if he would be interested in following you?" Jessica was now rising, and she smacked her palm on her desk to indicate she was done. She  shifted her gaze back and forth between Uncle Hernan and myself. I'm not sure what she's thinking, but she seems to be crying. Shouldn't I be the one sobbing now, given that I'm the one who has lost Adonis?

"It makes no difference whether he agrees or disagrees. Everything is dependent on my willingness to join us." Hernan came to a complete halt and turned to face his back. “Mark. Raymond!”

Mark and Raymond acted swiftly and rushed straight to Adonis's spot as soon as they could. Mark acted fast to inject Adonis something when he grew startled and sprang up from the couch and went away from Raymond who suddenly grabbed him by the hand. I wasn't concerned about it since I was certain that uncle Hernan would not let Adonis be harmed.

“What are you doing? What are you going to do with him?! ” Jessica had already left her desk and was on her way to get Adonis, but Raymond immediately snatched Adonis from Jessica's grasp and slung him over his shoulder.  "You're not allowed to do that!  Please return him to me! Charles, Charles, Charles!"

She is nevertheless adamant about using the given name Charles. Is she going insane already? Why does she continue to stick by what she says when it is crystal clear that she is lying to us? In the meanwhile, Mark walked over to us and swiftly retrieved Uncle Hernan's wheelchair.

"Let's go, sir." After that, he pushed Uncle Hernan's wheelchair and the two of them followed Raymond out the door.

I didn't get out of my place until they were gone. After hearing the door closed and watching Jessica bawling on the floor, I turned to see what she was going to do next.

"I don't think you have the right to grieve now. Because you stole something that wasn't meant for you. It is my responsibility to defend what's mine the next time you do it again."

That was my last word to her and turned away.

As I sat in the car with Adonis curled up on my lap, it seemed like I was in a dream. It's as though I couldn't sleep last night because I was thinking about him, and now he's here to try and compensate for it. I'm able to touch his skin once again. I was able to smell his hair again. I'm back in possession of my Adonis. He has returned.

As I caressed his face, tears were streaming from my eyes again, something I was entirely ignorant of. I observed that he had slimmed down. His lips were similarly dry and chapped. His brows and eyes are still the same color as before. Those eyes had already begun flirting with me the moment I saw them. What would he say when he opened his eyes? What is he going to do to me? Is he going to be scared?

The fact that I've fallen asleep surprises me, since it feels like it's been an eternity since I've been able to rest peacefully. As I had anticipated, Adonis would be the only one who could really provide me with reassurance. All of my worries vanished. I'm certain that Athen will be delighted when she sees Adonis with me. We shall be together once again. My understanding is that restoring the past would be tough, but I will do all in my power to win his trust. I will bring back both sad and wonderful memories for you.

I'd just gotten out of sleep and felt at ease in my chair. When the car came to a complete halt, I realized that we had arrived. I shifted my gaze to my side, as if that were a pillow.

"If you're awake, go to your feet because my arm has gotten numb."

Because of the sonorous voice, I swiftly moved away and would have nearly struck my skull if Adonis hadn't touched my head with his palm beforehand.

"Are you really that clumsy?"

I shielded my face since his face was so near to mine and it seemed as if a few inches would clash with our noses. Furthermore, I can feel his breath striking my face. Nothing has changed; menthol is still his preferred toothpaste. I was unable to respond, but someone else answered his query for me.

"Yes, Miss Luna is often approached by accident." Mark was already laughing, and I could see he was glad that Adonis had returned. I realized Raymond and uncle Hernan had exited the vehicle.

“Luna…” He spoke in the air loud enough for me to hear, and I locked my gaze on him as I realized he was calling my name as if he had known me for years. I miss the way he treated me.

“Yes.  My name is Luna."  I managed to sit down as the agony subsided, knowing that he had only uttered my name since he was unfamiliar with me. I had already given him a smile. "Let us proceed. Someone is still inside, waiting for you."

I walked out and waited for him to come out so I could assist him in walking. Perhaps the drug placed into him previously is still active. I smiled as I extended my hand to him.

He looked at my hand with suspicion at first, and he was still hesitant to accept it. When I was going to take it off, he abruptly seized my hand and pulled himself to his feet with it. I can already feel his hard touch on my elbows. It is no longer only a pipe fantasy. As tears welled up in my eyes, I raised my gaze to the sky.

"Are you okay?" As he looked at my face, he asked me a question.

“Yeah. There was nothing except filth in my eyes," I said to him.

He didn't say anything more and walked. As we went, my arms were wrapped about his, and as we drew closer and closer to Athen, I could already see her waiting for us.

Possibly as a result of my assuring her that Adonis was with me, she dashed towards us. As she started to call Adonis, she instantly embraced Adonis on the foot and cried.

"Daddy .. Daddy."

"Daddy?"
