Chapter 166: Chapter 166

Luna POV

I let out a sigh as I smiled. I recognized who owned the voice. I also heard Wayne speak but his voice was no longer clear to me because it was as if he was just shouting to chase the word he wants to say.

“It has been a month or months?” I was joking with them but my words didn't even come because they just looked really confused.

“I won't ask how are you first because I know what you will answer. I want to greet you when I can see you with my own eyes.”

I couldn't answer her joke. Although I'm getting better again it's not like how it is anymore, like before. It's like I'm just going on for Athen and it's like I believe Adonis is still there.

I faked a laugh to show that I was really okay and they were just getting paranoid. I want the pain I’m feeling to stop. I want to stop time so that the people with me would stop moving forward.

I am insecure as I see them that they are well while I am, here, standing, left. I just want to lock myself in the room and wait for the time to calm me down.

I looked outside when I saw someone coming inside the house. I sighed on the other line and spoke again.

"Just tell me when you will be here so I can get ready."

I still listened to Wendy's advice to me but it just came out of my other ear. Not even one of her letters entered my head.

I hung up the phone and approached the newcomers Apo Tilo and Sasha. Obviously, they had just seen a nice house because I noticed how amazed they were at what they saw.

When they saw me they adjusted their posture. They pretended to see nothing and just looked straight at me.

I don't care if they tour the whole house, it's not mine.

“Good morning, Apo Tilo and Sasha. Welcome to our house.” I smiled at them but the two just nodded.

If Estella hadn’t pulled their hands, they wouldn’t have greeted me.

“Good morning to you too, Luna. Thank you for letting us.” Sasha was the first to speak. That was enough for me to show that I didn’t have to adjust for them.

"Good morning." That's all Apo Tilo told me.

I looked at Estella who has an apologetic face. I just nodded at her and turned around. I wanted to let her know that she already knew what she was going to do.

Before they came here, I showed Estella the room where the two could stay.

I went upstairs to the bedroom. I would have loved to talk to Mark about the burial we are going to have but I have been quickly losing strength these past few days. Perhaps, I'll go to sleep first and then I'll talk to him. We can't stay long because it's only a matter of days before Uncle Hernan kicks me out of here.

When I went up to the second floor, I saw Raymond coming out of Leilani's room. My expression changed quickly.

He immediately turned to me and I saw the fear on his face when he spotted me. I shouldn't interfere with him and Leilani, but I want them to protect themselves. Leilani herself said what Luke could do to them.

I just shook. I can't do anything if that's really what they want, the only thing I can do is support whatever they want.

I just hope they have no regrets in the end. I was not supported in what they would do but I was also not in the place to stop them.

I walked over to Leilani's room to pick up Athen. I knew he would want to explain, he didn't have to do that. I'm glad that he is the reason to make her happy.

Raymond could not move from where he stood. I’m not sure if he’s waiting for me to scold him or he just really can’t really move.

When I was in front of him, I looked at his tangled hair and clothes. No need to guess what happened to them inside.

He bowed.

“It’s okay. I have no right to be angry with your decision.” I smiled at him and patted his shoulder again. “If one day you have something you can't agree on, I hope you can fix it. You are no longer young to teach.”

I noticed that his expression lightened. It was as if a stone had slipped from his chest because of what I had said.

I passed him and went straight to where Leilani's door was. As soon as I knocked, the door opened immediately.

“What? Do you have anything left—? ”

She couldn't continue what she was going to say when she saw my face. How funny how comfortable she would be now if she hadn't even looked at Raymond before because she was so angry. It's really different when it comes to love.

"Won't you even let me in?" I sarcastically asked to her.

She opened the door wide and simply looked outside.

"If you're looking for Raymond, he's down." I entered her room and saw Athen lying comfortably on Leilani’s bed and like an old woman, listening to us.

"Sorry."

"For what?"

“My heart couldn't take it. It gave up.” She looks like a child because she doesn't know if she's apologizing or shy.

I laughed softly because of her actions. The wolf Leilani disappeared and suddenly became a cat.

"I don't care about your relationship."

I walked over to her bed and approached Athen. I didn’t feel her follow me so I turned my gaze to her.

I saw that she was still holding the door and staring at where. I know she's happy so she's like that now.

“What? Are you going to stop there?” I teased her.

I was just surprised when she suddenly ran towards me and hugged me tightly. I did not immediately react to what she did.

I just realized it when I felt the tears dripping down my back. Warm tears.

Very different from the tears I have.

Her tears were happy.

My tears are grieving.

I just stroked her back.

"I guess I have no choice but to let you lean on me when you have a problem."
