Chapter 144: Chapter 144

Adonis POV

I went another week without contacting Luna. I want to be able to think in order to avoid regretting my choice. Perhaps I'm just bewildered, or maybe I'm hurt. I want my next decision to be correct, and I know that I will be unable to do that if my heart is filled with doubts and concerns.

I just gazed at the closet in which my clothes were stored. Today is the day of my homecoming, and I'm still undecided on what to say to Luna. For several years, there is only one thing I really want, and that is for us to forget the past.

Nevertheless, I am well aware that one of the things she is fearful of is that I previously lied to her and I know that she does not entirely trust me. It is maybe not selfish to ask that she will grant me trust at least once. I battled for her once; it shouldn't be difficult to do it again.

As I was drowning in memories, the phone in my pocket suddenly rang. I didn't take it right away because I was hesitant if I would come back, if I didn't come back, my company would be ruined.

I sighed and took it out of my pocket in the end. I looked at the caller and saw that it wasn't Luna who was calling, it was Mark. I frowned when I saw that he had missed three calls. Perhaps in the depths of my thoughts I never noticed it.

"Is there a problem?" I immediately asked him a question. I looked out the window to see the flash of lightning. It looks like there is a storm.

"Sir, it looks like Athens is excited for you to come home but I just wanted to confirm if you will continue because I watched the news that there will be a strong storm today in Madrid."

Yes, I am in Madrid but not in the City part, but in the mountains. Madrid has stuck with me because this is why I met Luna, why she discovered my secret and why she left me. This place has already painted something in my head so maybe, I can find real happiness.

"Are they preparing to go to the airport?" I asked him while still watching the lightning as the large raindrops were also falling. It was as if I was waiting for an answer and if I heard that answer I would do everything just to get home.

"Yes, sir, but ma'am Luna reminded me that if the plane you booked can't fly, they can wait."

Because of what he said, I picked up the suitcase that had been waiting for a while. I laid it on the bed and opened it. I went back to the cabinet to pick up the clothes and put on my suitcase.

"I'm going home now, who knows the storm might disappear when I'm at the airport."

I don’t have a television here on the mountain, I also don’t read news on my phone so I don’t know what’s going on. I'm just basing it on the weather, I can see it outside right away.

"But sir ---"

"Just wait for me at the airport." I never let him finish speaking and turned off the call. I have also started packing.

Luna POV

"Sir Adonis said he would continue to return home." It was Raymond who told us as we sat in the garden. I am now with Leilani and Athen. I smiled when I saw how irritated she was with Raymond.

I don't know the story of the two of them, all I notice is that they both don't like each other. Actually, it seems like only Leilani is really mad at him and Raymond is the one who understands more. I discovered that Raymond didn't move every time Leilani passed by.

To be honest, I am shipping them.

"Where is Mark, isn't he the one we talked to earlier here?" She said sarcastically.

"Mark is doing something different and the last time I checked Miss Luna is the one sir Adonis' girlfriend, your side comment is irrelevant." He replied to Leilani seriously but calmly.

Leilani would have just stood up because she seemed stunned by Raymond's verbal response to but couldn't because Athen had already preceded her.

“Daddy is coming! Daddy is coming!” Athens stood up in a chair and danced along with the jump. She also clapped while I held her foot because she might fall.

"Aghh ..!" She breathily moaned while gritting her teeth. She adjusted her seat and leaned on our seat as she crossed her arms. Can’t deny that this woman is a spoiled brat.

My heartbeat got faster because of what Raymond said. But I didn’t show them how excited I was. The crickets in my stomach could no longer rest and they are nonstop. I also don't know if I was just tickled but I saw Raymond looking at Leilani as he raised his lip a little as if a sweet smile was warning.

In the time I have known Raymond, I have never seen him argue with anyone or even smile.

So it’s amazing that I see him now like this. I still haven’t heard of his girlfriend from now or even since. Leilani, on the other hand, had her face tilted so she couldn't see Raymond's face.

“Ahem ..” Raymond fake is coughing. "If you don't order anything else, I'll leave." Raymond turned around while Leilani didn't speak, she looked angry at what the man said. But as Raymond was leaving, I followed him. I gave Athen to Leilani first.

“Raymond…” I stopped walking.

He also stopped. I pulled him to the part where no one could see us. He was not surprised by what I did, I first looked behind me to make sure no one was listening to us.

“Can we have a little chat?”
