Adonis POV

"Aghh ..!" I groaned as I massaged my head.

The bottle wine also fell which I hugged while I slept. Alcohols bottles are scattered. I've been drinking for a few weeks now but I can't even feel the numbness in my body. I still feel the pain I want to go away.

Luna called me yesterday. I heard her voice again. But I don’t want to see them first because I don’t want to look like this. It's like we're just playing. We'll be fine now, then we'll break up again later. Nothing is becoming new, we are no longer in peace.

I looked at my phone and it rang again. I reached for it and closed my eyes and answered the call without knowing who it was.

“Sir, aren't you coming back yet? Many investors want to back out because they can't see you.” I could hear my secretary's anxious voice and the shouts in the background.

I didn't say a word but she continued.

“The sale has also declined, Mr. Salander. So we need you here.”

“What?! Can't your boss really handle it right?!” I heard someone in the background speak, maybe one of the investors. "We entrusted our money to him even though he was involved in the issue before!"

I adjusted my seat and leaned my back on the sofa. I lifted my neck and bored staring at the ceiling.

"Tell them I'll be back next week, they have nothing to worry about."

"But sir—"

I never let her finish speaking and I immediately turned off the call.

I threw the phone next to me and it bounced. I didn't even feel better yet when it rang again.

“I told you to tell them that I will also come back to fix the mess. They have nothing to worry about!” I raised my voice because of being irritable.

Maybe the effect of alcohol on me still doesn’t go away because of what time I slept.

But no matter how heavy my sigh was, no one answered.

I looked at the phone to see if it was still ongoing and saw Jessica was the caller. I just lost more of my mood.

"What?" I harshly asked.

“Adonis, it’s almost a month. Don't you have any plans to come back ...?” She was still hesitant to ask that but I think this woman's shame was really thick.

“Don’t fool me, Jessica. If I find out what your purpose is and you are lying, I will not forgive you.” I stammered sharply at her.

“A-adonis ..! This is your child!” She stuttered while speaking.

“I will also know the truth, when I find out that there is no truth in what you said, be prepared. I will never forgive you.”

She didn’t speak on the other line but I could already hear her sobs. Since I didn't have time to listen to her drama, I turned off the call and stood up.

I got up to get ready. Perhals, I’ll just try to walk today. I haven't exercised for a few weeks.

I'm on the mountain now, fortunately I have a data booster so somehow I can get a connection. After Luna and I had a fight, I wanted to give her space because everything seemed to be happening fast. Probably, I rushed her too much so our relationship had no foundation.

We are quickly destroyed just because of the simple words that come from the mouths of others.

I opened the curtain and peered at the thick fog mixing with the air and grass. I want to bring Luna and Athen here because this is the house I built.

Simple, small and quiet. Nothing will bother us. Even Raymond and Mark don’t know this place because I want Luna the first to see it.

I walked into the kitchen to brew coffee. It was cold on the balcony so I needed a contra to the cold.

When I finished brewing, I opened the balcony and peeked outside.

I imagined hugging Luna here, while watching the fog to go away.

The amount of dreams I had for the two of us that didn’t come true because of the hurdles.

While having coffee I was thinking about how I could get Jessica to tell me the truth. More and more people are getting involved with Luna and me and I'm afraid that I might lose her forever.

I picked up my phone to call Mark.

He had just answered the call after a few rings.

"Sir!" He was surprised by my sudden call because I didn’t answer whenever they tried to reached at me.

"Are you watching Luna?" Even though it wasn't really the reason for me to call, that was the first thing I asked him.

“Ah! Actually, Luna begged to stay at the mansion because she said she didn't feel well in their house.”

"What do you mean?" I asked promptly.

"Miss Luna told me that one night she was doing something, she noticed someone staring at their house." He was silent for a moment and a few seconds continued. “She told me that she wanted to stay in the mansion, she did not know before that you were not in the house. I think she came here because she thought you were here. ”

"That will be her least reason." I chuckled.

I just don't want to hope anymore.

“Anyway, I just want to tell you something about Jessica. Can you find out who the men she met are? You will not leave anyone in the list.” I was already staring into space.

"Actually, I found out something about her." Mark replied with suspicious tone.

“Really? What are those?”

“I saw her with Luke. One of your photographers, back then didn't you notice that Luke before?”

“Not really. Why?”
