Chapter 112: Chapter 112
She nodded a couple of times, and I assisted her in getting up from the couch where she was seated. We went together to the telephone and then I dialed Adonis' number into the telephone. I handed over the phone to her and quickly walked upstairs to Wendy and my bedroom. They were talking about something that was very personal to both of them, and I didn't want to hear what they were discussing. When I walked into the room, I saw that Wendy was also awake and that she had risen to her feet. She had just slept, and woke up again.
"Why did you wake up?" As I sat next to her and asked. She glanced down at her pillow and saw the hair that had fallen on her head so I immediately grasped her chin and turned her head to face me, and she smiled. I did nothing more than move my fingers over the pillow and brushed the hairs that had fallen from her hair. I gave her a kind gesture as I tucked the hair that had slipped out into my pocket.
"I woke up because of my headache." Her voice was beginning to fade. I offered her the milk that was on the side table that I had made earlier. She beamed at me as if to express her gratitude. I could see how pale her lips were, and it seemed as if she didn't have any blood anymore.
"You are very stunning." I praised her and saw that her expression got even more dejected as a result of my words, so I proceeded to talk to try to ease her distress.
"How am I supposed to find another girlfriend if I can't find someone who is as lovely as you?" I'm well aware of the absurdity of my emotions, but I only want to prove to her that nothing has changed in her since that time. Even if I die or reincarnate, she is still the lady I will fall in love with.
"Don't play games with me. Because I no longer have hair, no one will consider me to be attractive." She tried to feign a chuckle, but tears streamed from her eyes. I bit my lower lip because I didn't want her to think about it, but every time I told her that she was beautiful, s he responded by saying that I was was the only one who thought that way since she was my girlfriend. I was guilty, but I couldn't help her. "How long do you think I'll be able to last?" She asked me a question that made my heart break even more.
"When you die, I will bind myself to your body and leap into the water with you so that you would not be able to separate from me even in the afterlife." You can't run. "You're not allowed to go without me." I had a big laugh as well. If only my love for her could be the catalyst for her recovery, I would do everything and everything I could to ensure that she lived, even if it meant giving up my own life in this way.
We become broken, namely because of the love we have.
She was already laying down, so I pulled and hugged her tight. I sang her a song that had come to my mind until we were both fully overcome by drowsiness.
When I woke up the following morning, she was no longer beside me, and I was so terrified that I didn't know how I stood up. I dashed downstairs to the living room to search for her.
I was on the verge of falling down the stairs in order to get there. As soon as I walked through the door, I could smell the delicious food and hear boisterous laughter. When I carefully strolled over to the kitchen to see who was talking, it was as if a thorn had been taken from my heart when I saw Wendy and Luna conversing while looking on the phone. When I saw that their expressions became serious, I walked in to take part in the discussion.
“What are you discussing about, huh? May I join you?" I raised my voice to rapidly attract their attention, and I saw Wendy's expression widening even more. Even though she didn't express it, I knew she craved friendship. I assumed it would take a long time for Luna and her to become friends. I approached her back and gently massaged her shoulder. She clasped my hand in her and raised her eyes to mine.
"We're seeking websites that provide a list of names of reputable specialists that deal in brain tumors." Luna began to talk as she walked back to the stove, where she was cooking breakfast. She flipped the fish she was frying. While her back turned to us, I remembered what happened last night about the call. I'm glad she's putting up with us so that Wendy can get better but I also want to help her about what's happening to her about Adonis.
"Luna, how did things turn out last night with regard to you phoning my cousin?" I was seated close to Wendy when I asked her the question, and I saw how Wendy's eyes turned towards me to Luna. Luna hasn't told her anything about what happened.
Luna came to a complete halt as a result of what I said.
Oh. The outcome did not seem to be favorable.
"Well… He didn't pick up the phone when I called." She spoke in hushed tones, hardly audible for us to hear. She didn't change her stance or glance around, but she continued to talk. "The lady said that Adonis was no longer available, and the person who answered the phone identified herself as Adonis' girlfriend."
Because of what she said, I was unable to respond. I really want to keep my mouth shut.
I know that Adonis was the first one to answer the phone when I called, so it's a little shocking that the woman was the second person to answer it. Not only did I stop talking, but Wendy did so as well. Luna was already placing the fish on the plate, and I was actually sitting there watching her, hoping she would say anything more in addition to what she said.
However, even though we were eating, she did not talk anymore, so I asked her myself.
"Do you still intend to return?" Because of my query, I felt Wendy's hand creep up to my legs and the power with which she squeezed me, prompting me to turn to face her. She enlarged her eyes as if she meant to give a warning, so I shut my lips to avoid saying anything.
But Luna spoke in the middle of our deafening stillness.
"I'm not interested in hearing anything further about him. I'm not going to come back now."
