Chapter 103: Chapter 103
I couldn't speak with someone who was standing around me. I just heard that voice this morning, so it's doubtful that I'll forget who it belonged to. I didn't even attempt to look back, but Athen let go of my hand and walked right towards him. Tiffany flashed a bright grin and walked up to the guy behind me. It's best not to peek at him since my mood hasn't return yet. I stood quietly while they are facing my back and let them ramble. If I had known what was going to happen, I would have chosen to politely decline Athen's offer to work with them. Now I'm not sure where I'm going to sit or sleep for the night.
I couldn't take it any longer, so I decided to confront them. But this man didn't hold back when I grabbed Athen's hand from under his grasp. He also snatched Athen's hand and engaged in an eye- match with me. I gave him searing looks in return, and he did the same back! Unbelievable! Was he under the illusion that it wasn't a huge issue to me that he didn't get my permission before doing a DNA test?!
"Let go of my child!" I said it out loud to him. Because of my yell, several had already turned their heads to stare at us. But it was Athen's alternating gaze from me to her father that had the two of us completely taken by surprise the most. Unquestionably, he is becoming more upset with what we are doing right now.
“No. SHE'S MY DAUGHTER, AS WELL!" He shouted the phrase so loudly that the people who were working around him were forced to halt and look at him with interest. This guy could no longer be scared of my eyes, no matter how hard I looked at him as if telling him that he should be terrified of me.
“Fine! It's our daughter!" I give up because he has proof, and I don't want to be a stickler for my own beliefs any longer. "Are you able to let go of OUR DAUGHTER NOW? This is due to the fact that I still have to feed and wash her. Does that sound good to you, mister?!" Because I was so annoyed with him, I rolled my eyes. I'm not sure how to express my disappointment with this situation. I had a strong desire to stab him in the eye with my eye. This is really disrespectful!
"And how are you going to accomplish that?" He offered a caustic question, and I couldn't resist picking up Athen. He also gave up Athen. He may be correct that I have no idea where Athen and I will sleep, but with the population here, is that still impossible to do?! He's only fabricating a pretext to evict me from Athens. Furthermore, how did he get here if he was still seeing his girlfriend?
I can't help but be enraged whenever I consider the possibility of him sending his GIRLFRIEND to his home while his daughter was there. I want to shave someone's head immediately! Athen and I were going to check about where we might sleep, but I was startled to see that we resembled a pillow being carried by this pompous guy! He went along the path I was familiar with. I believe I can't go wrong with the direction it's taking. It's incredible how much has changed yet this road has stayed constant.
"Release me!" My voice is ominous. I cannot battle, since doing so may result in Athen's fall.
When he dropped us to the white sand, I was prepared to re-lift Athen and turn my back on Adonis, but I was unable to do so since Athen was the one who brought the two of us to a halt. She seemed to be the most perplexed. Because I am aware of my child's bravery, she did not back down when she spoke for the two of us. My daughter, like her father, seems to be haughty as she matures. She continued to cast her gaze back and forth between the two of us.
"I observed earlier that you didn't get along. What is the matter with you two?" Her arm was crossed. I'm not sure how she learnt. She raised her eyes, her countenance befuddled. She had an inkling as to what was going on, but she refrained from showing it to us because she wanted me or us to explain. However, it does not seem to be the appropriate moment or opportunity to inform her of everything. She may be unable to take the disclosure since, despite the fact that I am clear that she is not seeking a father, she is nonetheless concerned.
"You no longer need to know." I wanted to touch her, but she just lifted her hand and seemed to have no intention of joining the two of us. When else would she have learned to behave in this manner? I was enthralled by what she was doing. I will not tell her anything, no matter how hard she tries now. I'd rather her begin by crawling in the dark. What is the explanation behind this? Because I'm worried she's unwilling to acknowledge the existence of an incomplete family. I don't want her to question why the woman with her father is not me. That was more agonizing than anything she could ask.
"How come not?" Adonis yanked my hand, causing my body to erupt in wrath.
"For what purpose? Is there any other reason to inform her? Athen and I survived without her father, and it makes no difference whether you appear or not!" As I spoke forcefully to Adonis, I covered Athen's ear. "If you are not satisfied to glance at her from a distance or hold her close while she is unaware that you are her daddy, you will never see her again." My voice has become harsh. I would threaten him if necessary. It would be preferable for him to form a family with others; Athen no longer needs him.
No.
This is not the case.
That is what was going through my head, but I did not discuss it to him. I'm not sure what type of bitterness my lips will pronounce in order to impress on his mind that we no longer need him. That he no longer had anything to worry about. Athen and I shall continue regardless of whether he is there.
I was taken aback when he grasped my arm with both hands. His hand was trembling with rage. His teeth chattered in fury. However, I concealed my dread. He is free to think and say anything he wants, but he cannot alter the trajectory of my thinking. I fought his stare but was powerless to escape as he pressed his face against mine and murmured.
"Do not attempt to test my patience, Luna. You will not be able to scare me with your words. If I wish to confine you now, I can simply do it without anybody knowing, regardless of how hard you strike the prison's clanging metal."
I hit him hard in response to what he said.
"Monster!"
