Chapter 102: Chapter 102
I quickly purchased a ticket to Zhejiang since I was certain that if we went directly to Guangdong, he would just drive us back to his place. So I'd best get Athen to a place where she'll be shooting so Adonis won't be able to track us down. I'll just inform Luke that I was unable to bring props due to an emergency situation. At the time of our arrival at the airport, I didn't know how worried I was that someone of his minions might spot us. Athen didn't inquire as to what was going on, therefore I didn't display that I was disturbed by it.
I didn't keep track of what time our flight to Zhejiang took off or landed; all I knew was that it was already afternoon when we touched down. Initially, we went in search of fast food, but while we were searching, my phone, which was hidden inside my bag, rang. I didn't bother to guess who it was since I knew who it was right away. I really don't want to get on the phone with him if he's going to catch up to us anyhow. I came to a complete halt and took my phone out of my bag with me. I let go of Athen's hand and turned to face my phone and confirm who had called. When the phone buzzed again and it was an unknown number, I instantly thought of who would be brave enough to contact me after what had transpired. I stand quietly there staring at my phone. Athen's pulling of my clothing improved my sanity since my brain would not have been able to bring it back to the real world.
When the call ended and I didn't pick it up, it didn't ring again for a long time. Because I didn't want to be bugged anymore, I switched off my phone. We immediately headed out to get something to eat. It took another two hours until we arrived in Zhejiang because I went out and purchased more props after seeing that Zhejiang was different from where we had been before. There are some stores built nearby.
What do I assume? Everything will stay the same as before? It has been a long since I lost track of everything? I'm the only one who hasn't become any stronger over the years. If it weren't for Athen, I wouldn't be aware of the state of my mental health at this point.
When we reached Zhejiang province, things were drastically different from what we had seen before. Something struck my heart when I learned that someone had proceeded with the project I had begun, despite the fact that I had not continued with it. Do any of the individuals in this place remember who I am? Is it still possible that they recognize me? However, the days I had left in this place during my last days were not pleasant. I'm no longer willing to put up with the pain because, if it weren't for me, Adonis and I may be okay. I just wish that during the times I met him, I shouldn't have asked him for help about revenge. There is, however, no disputing the fact that he murdered my parents, no matter how much I reject what occurred.
As we approached, I saw a large number of automobiles. Given the fact that we arrived early, it seems like the crew has already gathered. Some people have already started working on their designs. There weren't many people in this area to see them. After taking a look around at the old cabin where I had been sleeping, I saw that the room had been demolished and replaced with a much more attractive concrete structure. The first time someone came out of the door, I averted my gaze as if there was a person who gave me the present and struck it in my face. How long do I have to live with the consequences of my actions? How long should I be depressed about something that can't be re-created in any way?
“Miss?”
When someone touched me from behind, Athen and I both stared at each other, my eyes widening as I tried to figure out who it was. She was the lady with whom I had a brief conversation just before leaving Zhejiang, and her appearance had changed significantly since then. Her skin got more tanned, but her face became more attractive as time went on. I can't recall her name since it's been a long time, and I'm not sure if she even recognizes me at this point. I was simply plain foolish in front of her, and I couldn't move. However, my assumption that she didn't recognize me turned out to be incorrect, and her eyes widened as well.
"Miss Luna," she uttered. Because she couldn't believe who was standing in front of her, that was all she said and her lips turned into an "O."
Neither of us could talk because of the shock, but she was the first of the two of us to come back to the situation.
"Do you recall anything about me? I apologize for not introducing myself to you before." She yanked my hand from her, as if she were eager for me to remember about her. " The person with whom you spoke before leaving Zhejiang was me. My name is Tiffany." The only reason her eyes were blinking was to ensure that I could identify her.
In part, this is due to the fact that she did not introduce herself to me before, thus I cannot recall her name. I didn't say anything, just smiled and nodded.
"I have a memory of you."
"Why did you just return now? Every day, Brother Adonis awaits your appearance and acts as though you are here. If necessary, he has even refurbished the home on the beach so that you have a place to stay in the event that you decide to return." My body stiffened as a result of what she said, even though her voice could not be blocked. My head had been caught on the first words I heard, she continued talking and said anything further. "He also worked on your project while he was here. Owing to rumors that you had actually bought this property, he removed the news, and there has been no sign of him since that time." Her tone grew dejected.
"However, it was just last month that we learned he was embarking on a new endeavor, and that's it." She extended her hand to where and my heart was racing so hard. She presented me to the people who work behind the scenes to change the patterns and other decorations while a photograph is being taken. "I'm one of those models he chose." During this time, she maintained a cheerful tone.
I jumped when there was a voice behind me.
“You are here.”
