Chapter 13: Chapter 13

Robin and the guards who were searching around for her, heard a piercing scream from a distance and they are ran towards where the voice which seemed to be a lady's came from. They got to the place, lo and behold, it was the lady they had been searching around the whole vicinity for the past 45mins who laid down there unconscious.

"But what was she looking for in this woods" one of the guards queried. "What do you mean, she was obviously trying to escape but lost her way" another guard answered.

"Quick, pick her up and let's head back to the castle, The master must be waiting for us by now" Robin ordered and they picked her up and headed back to the castle.

They brought her back to the castle and when master Damien saw her, he commanded them to throw her into the dungeon as she would face her punishment the next day since she was still unconscious. He demanded another slave be sent into his room and the guards nodded, taking the unconscious girl to the dark dungeon.

Galene had woken up the next day on the cold smelly hard floor which was pitch dark except for the little ray of light that emits from the small window.

She squinted her eyes wondering if the forest demons had captured and caged her, preparing to feast in her just like in her grandmother's tales.

She crawled blindly towards the little light and climbed the hard wall which was difficult but when she succeeded, she peeped from the high window and discovered she was underground as the only thing she saw was thick walls and the light came from a little hole made on the wall which reflects a very little ray in the room she was.

Tears rolled down her eyes as she sat back down weeping silently and regretting why she had left the castle only to be caught by forest demons and now, they are probably boiling water to cook her.

She wailed loudly Calling all her ancestors to come to her aid but no one seemed to hear her wails.

She cried and wailed until she lost her voice. Feeling weak and her body terribly aching her.

"Life why do you choose to be very unfair to me, I do not deserve to end this way" she whimpered and her stomach grunted. Of what need is food to her when she would soon end up in the forest demons pot as a delicious meal.

She rested her aching back on the wall, having cried alot she drifted off to sleep only accepting her fate.

Master Damien sat on a high stool with the council of elders as they seemed to be in a meeting. "My Lord, The Khra Clan leader sent a letter to you" one of the elder whose name was Gatmos bowed extending the scroll towards the Master.

"Read it out" Master Damien muttered gazing intently at the elder as cold aura emit around his surroundings causing the elder to shiver at his gaze but nonetheless, he opened the scroll and started to read out the content of the letter to the hearing of the Master and other council members.

"What!!!!" That is impossible.

"This is absurd"

"Doesn't he know what he is asking for"

The elders mumbled among themselves after elder Gatmos relayed the message to them.

They all fixed their gaze on Master Damien, wondering why he was silent, would he sit and ignore the message they just heard as he was sipping from his royal cup unbothered.

"Master are you not going to comment to what was related to us" one of the elder stood up and asked him having became tired and more curious of the matter at hand.

"You made mention of Gatmos did you not?" He queried and the elder who read the scroll nodded hastily. "Yes my Lord, in this letter, he mentioned of how they would come for war if their demands are not met" he replied still confused about why the Master was asking about war. Was that the only thing he heard.

"Yes Gatmos, war is the only thing I heard from all what you read out of that scroll" he Master Damien uttered shocking Gatmos who never said a thing out as he wondered how the master was able to dictate his thoughts.

He glanced as the other members and they all looked as surprised as him.

"Prepare for their arrival as I would grant them their war quest" Master Damien voiced out and they all sighed.

What the Khran community was asking for could be termed as non impossible.

The acres of land at the boundaries between Carren community and Khran community once belonged to the Khran community but was later given to Guthram Clan of the Carren community after a wrestling match between the both community which was won by Master Damien's great-grandfather and it had been in their possession for ages without causing any problem between the both communities.

Now the leader of Khran community is seeking for the land ownership because they saw the profits yielded annually from the land and want to claim possession of something which they no longer possess.

Ofcourse Master Damien who was a lover of war would not think twice before considering their war quest as he would never release what was his to another. Not when he is Damien and still alive. Khran community just wanted to loose their warriors obviously as nobody in their right flame of mind would consider fighting Master Damien.

"Inform the warriors to start preparing for a war" Master Damien gave out his orders and the elders nodded.

"Any other topic?" He queried peering at them and they started shifting in their seats. They do wanted to discuss an important matter with the master but no one knows how to go about it. They glanced at each other, using their eyes to communicate.

"My Lord" one of the elder bowed as he stood up. Since no one wants to say out what they were all thinking, let him do so. Master Damien glanced at him raising his brows which made the elder gulp in little fear before gathering his confidence and staring up the Master.
