Chapter 2: Chapter 2
END OF FLASHBACK…
Adeline parked her car two houses away from Zach’s house. She cut the engine and removed the key from the keyhole. She looked to her side mirror then to her watch. It’s 11:30 in the evening. She knew Zach was already asleep at this time or might be partying with friends outside. She have planned everything.
Adeline gulped. She had to hold her breath for a few seconds then clears her throat before opening the car door.
She’ll perform it tonight. She’s going to steal Zach’s boxers and had to make him taste his own medicine.
Humiliation.
Adeline uses the back door entrance to find her way inside Zach’s residence. There were no sounds around, even a little screech or sounds coming from the fireflies were completely silent that night. It is a very peaceful and serene evening. She climbed off the long sturdy fence then hopped her way inside.
The kitchen light can be seen where Adeline is hiding cautiously. That’s the only light who’s turned on. She knew that everyone is already asleep or perhaps out partying. This could be her only chance to perform her long-awaited vengeance. She cautiously and carefully walked through the tree beside the ceiling where she could climb her way off to the roof then directly to Zach’s room.
Adeline held her breath for a few seconds then look around to make sure that no had seen her. In just a few moments, she is now climbing the tree like a monkey and then made her way to the ceiling. Hiding behind the window, she peeked inside Zach’s room. It was dark. Completely silent.
Her phone vibrated.
She nervously picks it up.
“Where were you now, Adeline?” Cheska seems very worried about her.
“I’m now on the roof” she whispers covering her mouth.
“What? Are you really sure that what you’re doing is a very good idea? What if someone catches you? Or much worse, what if Zach is the one who will catch you?”
“It’s do or die, Ches. And besides, he’s the exact reason why I can’t stand my face going to school or outside. It’s time that he should face his own karma.” She said in full determination. “ I need to go now.”
She immediately slit her phone inside her pocket. She peeked again on the window. Once, she’s sure that there’s really no one inside. She slowly opened the window and then fit herself inside it.
She just needs to grab a few important pictures and things that he could post on their school blog, one’s that can make Zach tremble into a great despair. Adeline turned on the flashlight of her phone then started to search the room. She had seen posters of One Direction all over the place. A big CD player beside a flat TV. There’s a guitar beside the lamp table and jersey’s with numbers 15 and 8 stick thru the wall.
His bed is a mess. She had expected that. Laundry is all over the place. What struck Adeline the most was the pink ornaments such as garlands and all other girly stuffs inside the room. She immediately took a couple of shots, then continued to search for other weird stuffs. Her eyes then strode to the pile of laundry beside the bed. There are Spongebob boxers scattered.
Adeline couldn’t help but picks it up. She couldn’t contain her excitement and the way she imagined how things could go inside the campus. If she’s going to post this online, she’s sure that everyone would completely laugh at Zach.
Adeline laughed silently. Who would have thought that a gangster-like, macho-physique and unapproachable Zach Jimenez is hiding his thing behind a Spongebob underwear. What’s more is there’s a name tag on it’s garter. She cupped her mouth trying to contain her excitement. She had expected some weird stuffs but not this, it’s like she’s winning the jackpot price.
Adeline, then took various pictures of it, including the name tag where Zach’s name was written. While she was busily doing that, the door suddenly screeched open.
It’s Zach.
