Chapter 89: Chapter 89
Light inspected the work in progress in his division. Following closely behind him was his assistant. She wrote down everything he said into her note book.
Light went with her into a large room made entirely of glass. Working in the room were gamarax manipulators who were divided into two groups. They sat opposite each other with their legs folded and hands put together.
The group on the left received the negative energy from Earth while the group on the right received the positive energy. They combined the energies and released it to another group that operated from above the glass room. The third group spread the gamarax created across Dark Star.
This was a never ending routine. The gamarax manipulators specialized in this field took shifts in order to make sure that the work never stopped. Light was in charge of supervising them. Light watched them all do their work perfectly and he was pleased.
Suddenly, Light felt a sharp pain pierce and go through his heart. He slowly looked down and saw a golden sword sticking out of his chest. From the corner of his eye, Light saw King Meelzib smirking at him with his hand still held out.
Light held the blade and stained his hand with his blood. He dropped down to his knees and listened to the sound of King Meelzib drawing closer to him from behind.
"You better not stop doing your work." King Meelzib threatened the terrified gamarax manipulators and they kept working.
Tamithra looked at Sharaina stunned because she suddenly gasped in pain in the middle of their conversation. Sharaina held her chest and breathed heavily. Tamithra sat there not knowing what to do while a maid rushed into the kitchen to get a glass of water for Sharaina.
Has something happened to Light? Sharaina thought to herself.
Naraygeous had just arrived at the Gamarax Association. He asked to see Light but he was informed that he was in the Gamarax Chamber with King Meelzib and no one was allowed inside there unless they were authorized by King Meelzib.
Naraygeous panicked internally. He feared that he may have been too late to get to Light. He tried to convince the receptionist to let him go there and see Light but she completely refused.
Naraygeous took a look at the security and just as expected; it was heavy due to King Meelzib's presence in the building. He activated his sword and approached the guards. If he had to force his way in in order to get to Light, then he decided that it should happen. In no time he got into a brawl with the guards.
"Light, head of the Gamarax Chamber and husband of Sharaina; I am pleased to finally meet you despite you committing treason against me." King Meelzib said with a grin.
Light weakly looked up to him. The metallic taste of his blood disgusted him. He thought back to how King Meelzib had forbade gamarax manipulators from treating Sharaina. He knew that Sharaina was feeling his pain and that she was going to come after him. He feared what King Meelzib would do to her had she gone there so he blocked her.
Why can't I sense him anymore? Sharaina suddenly got up her seat and startled Tamithra. She dashed out leaving Tamithra puzzled.
"I only had one desire in this world and that was to rule as King. Sadly those close to me have decided to betray me for my throne." King Meelzib boldly said to Light who remained silent. King Meelzib pointed at him. "You are one of those traitors. Your crime was healing the biggest threat to my throne. The fact that you even went as far as marrying me gives me the impression that you desired to become King through her." King Meelzib laughed.
"I know nothing of this." Light weakly refused and blood poured out of his mouth. Every word that came out of his mouth felt like it was tearing his heart apart. The blade in him made it so difficult for him to breath.
"Don't lie to me. I don't know how you received the prophecy that she is to be queen. What I do know however is that I will never let that happen. She must be already on her way here. I will strike her down the moment she steps through that door."
Sharaina, I know you are afraid for my life. My decision to block you from feeling me is the only way I will be able to protect you. I hope you will forgive me for this one day. Light sadly thought and groaned at the sharp pain draining him of his life.
"Diavinx is innocent." Light realized the truth and King Meelzib threw his head back and laughed.
"In deed he is but who cares? You should be more focused on yourself."
King Meelzib went behind Light and held his sword. He twisted it and blood poured out of Light's mouth. Meelzib pulled it out and Light fell to the ground. At this point Naraygeous burst through the door.
His eyes fell on Light who was lying in a pool of blood and his heart dropped. King Meelzib glared at him and Naraygeous sensed more guards coming behind him. He threw his sword at King Meelzib but he hit it away. The next thing King Meelzib saw was Naraygeous holding Light up and he launched out of the building shattering the glass roof.
King Meelzib went after them roaring. Whilst still in the air, Naraygeous summoned his dark purple dragon. He and Light landed on its back. The dragon blew fire and a portal appeared. It flew straight into it, right before King Meelzib got a hold of its tail. He roared in frustration at their escape.

Emelinia grew impatient waiting for Sharaina. She left Alainara and Precious and went inside to look for Sharaina. She caught sight of Tamithra picking up her purse so as to leave. Emelinia was puzzled that Sharaina wasn't with her. Emelinia couldn't even sense her in the mansion. Tamithra took one look at Emelinia and placed her hands on her hips.
"I wasn't expecting to see you here." She said to Emelinia.
"Where is Sharaina?" Emelinia asked her.
"I don't know. She just suddenly had a panic attack out of the blue and rushed out to who knows where."
"What?" Emelinia gasped.

Sharaina got to the Gamarax Manipulator Association and was shocked to see the distraction Naraygeous and the guards caused during their fight.
No one was willing to explain anything to her for they were all running around in fear. She panicked as to where Light was and opened a portal. Sharaina stepped into Gemhules and ran into her in laws' yard. She burst in through the doors calling for Nami.
Nami was stunned to see her hysterical state. "What is it Sharaina?" She asked her.
"Mama you have to help me. I don't know where Light is. I think something has happened to him." Sharaina explained almost crying.
"What?!" Velan rushed down stairs.
"Please help me find him. I cannot sense him at all. He has blocked me from doing so." Sharaina stressed and sucked up her tears with a sniffle.
"Calm down, I can sense him just outside. He probably just missed me and decided to pay me a surprise visit without letting you know. He must be tired of you smothering him." Nami coldly said with an eye roll.
"Really? He is outside?" Sharaina smiled with teary eyes. "I must see him." She ran out with everyone following her behind.
Sharaina's heart skipped a beat when she saw Light bleeding and barely alive; hanging over Naraygeous's shoulder. Jayniss, Lara and Stariss screamed at the sight. Their screams startled Nami and Velan who had not yet gone outside. The moment Nami set her eyes on Light she fainted into Velan's arms.
Sharaina ran to Light and both of them dropped to the ground with him in her arms. She was already crying in anguish. Naraygeous bit his lip and stepped back. He couldn't bear the sight of seeing Sharaina cry.
Jayniss rushed to Light and scanned him. She was horrified to see that his heart had been split almost into two. There was nothing that could have been done to save him. She sat back down and cried. Stariss held her and they both soaked each other in their tears.
"Sharaina," Light weakly said.
"Stay with me please. I still need you." Sharaina begged him.
Light reached out for her face with his bloody hand - staining her rosey cheeks with his finger tips. Sharaina cupped it in place as her tears poured.
"I am sorry that I will not be able to keep...my promises to you." Light sadly lamented.
"No don't say that please." Sharaina shook her head in denial.
"Don't cry my love. You will be okay without me I assure you." Light twitched his bloody lips into a smile.
"How will I will be okay when you are leaving me?" Sharaina wiped the blood off his lips.
"You will make a great queen." Light said and Sharaina couldn't understand him.
"Light please don't leave me. You promised me that you would always be there for me." Sharaina held Light tighter.
"I love you." Light closed his eyes.
Sharaina's eyes widened and world blackened. She shook Light but he didn't wake up. She called out to him but it still didn't wake him up. She kissed him over and over on his cheeks and fore head but his eyes didn't open. At that point Naraygeous got down next to her and put his hand on her shoulder. Sharaina held Light tight and screamed.

The sound of crying was all that was heard in Velan's mansion. Wagons and carriages of all sorts were packed either in the yard or outside. They were so many that even the road was blocked.
Everyone wore light pink clothes. Women could be seen moving around with their veils on. Nami cried openly in the hands of her daughters who were bawling their eyes out. Velan sat on the couch silently crying with Sharumez placing his hand on his shoulder.
Naian couldn't take his eyes off his sister who cried uncontrollably in their mother's arms on the floor. Emelinia hugged Sharaina from behind and wet her back with her tears.
Alainara sat close to Sharaina and held her hand. The sight of all of them weeping broke Naian's heart. Zentz and Naraygeous couldn't bear to see Sharaina cry anymore and they excused themselves.
Naraygeous covered his head in a hood before stepping outside in order to conceal his identity. He was now a wanted man because of what he had done at the Gamarax Association.
"Had I got there in time, I would have been able to save him." Naraygeous said with a frown and tucked his lips.
"It is not your fault." Zentz comforted him with a pat.
"If only I got there in time." Naraygeous said once more.
Yolin arrived at the mansion and her eyes immediately fell on Sharaina. She went to her and Emelinia moved away from Sharaina. Yolin gently tapped Sharaina on her shoulder. The moment Sharaina looked at her she threw a hug at her and Yolin held her tight. The people who came to the mansion to comfort the family were still in shock about what happened to Light. They gossiped amongst each other.
Four gamarax manipulators walked down the stairs carrying Light on a stretcher. He was covered in a white cloth up to his neck. Nami saw them and she ran to them with eyes full of anticipation.
Another gamarax manipulator got down the stairs with a note pad. He was accompanied by a seer. Nami knew that they were the ones to answer her questions.
"Tell me what I need to know." Nami told them.
"He has unfortunately fallen into a severe prolonged hibernation." The gamarax manipulator explained. "There's nothing we can do to revive him except wait for him to naturally wake up on his own." he concluded.
"He will likely wake up in the next 800 to 1000 years. That is too long of a wait. I advise you cremate him." The seer said.
"No, never! We will do no such thing. I will not allow it." Nami angrily declared. "Do not let any flame go near my son." She cried and her eyes fell on Sharaina. "You are the reason for all this! I said that you were a ticking time bomb but no one believed me. I looked like a villainess for following my own motherly instincts. I only have one son in this world and because of you I have lost him!" She screamed at Sharaina and she said nothing but cried.
The four gamarax manipulators carrying Light headed for the door. Sharaina saw them leave and she got up to follow them. Akirexer and Yolin tried to stop her but she shrugged them off. She went after them and blocked their path. She held Light's face lovingly and wiped her tears with a sniff.
"See Light, they are taking you away from me. Please wake up so that they don't separate us." She said and the men looked at her with so much pity in their eyes. None of them had the heart to tell her to leave him.
"Sharaina, allow them to take him away." Akirexer softly said to her but she shook her head.
"Mama, Light can be a clown sometimes. He is just pulling a prank on all of us. He always listens to you so please tell him to stop playing this cruel joke on me. My heart can't take it anymore." Sharaina held Light's hand.
Hearing her words, Akirexer dropped fresh tears and went to Sharaina. She gently pulled Sharaina away from Light but she held onto his hand. The men started moving and Sharaina lost her hold on Light.
She got down on her knees and helplessly watched them disappear into a portal with tears in her eyes. As soon as the portal closed, Sharaina freed herself from her mother and got up. She opened a portal of her own and disappeared into it.
