Chapter 73: Chapter 73
Umandaang rested his head on his claws as he watched Sharaina train. He occasionally grumbled to himself. He hated the fact that King Meelzib ignored his previous requests to not supervise Sharaina. It was like he didn't care about what would happen if he lost his temper with Sharaina and killed her.
To his relief, Sharaina said nothing to him for the whole six hours they had been on Mars. She didn't even respond to his brutal criticism. Umandaang was intrigued by this. He applauded commander Philanda for having punished Sharaina so well into submission.
However despite her good behavior, Umandaang still dreaded the sight of her. He was especially relieved that she had made significant progress in mastering The Wave. The sooner she learnt it, the sooner she was going to leave him and the castle for good - taking her insolent and vile nature with her.
Sharaina fell down to her knees with her red sword in her right hand. Her hand hurt so much that her veins were sticking out. She desperately tried to lift it up but it felt like it weighed a tone.
Sharaina looked ahead at the damage she had done to the rocks. All of them were turned into dust. Sharaina, however, still believed that she could do more damage. She had one swing left in her and she was going to use it no matter what.
She forced herself to get up with a wince and Umandaang raised his head at this. When he saw her go down on her knee again, he assumed that she had reached her limit.
"Hey, stupid girl," He began with his usual arrogant tone. "Since you got here, you haven't fed, but I'm sensing a huge of level of gamarax in you. How is this so?" He asked her.
Sharaina didn't want to talk about that so she said. "There is no need for you to concern yourself with a lowly girl like me, great Umandaang."
Umandaang was about to respond to her when she pointed her sword up. Sharaina felt pressure on her hand and she gritted her teeth in pain. She could feel the gamarax rushing in her.
Her heart was beating so hard that she could hear it. She exclaimed and swung her sword with all her might. A powerful huge wave appeared. It swept across Mars and destroyed a portion of Jupiter.
Umandaang jumped up in shock. He couldn't keep his jaw up. The last time he saw a wave that powerful was when he witnessed King Raglan fighting off enemy dragons. King Raglan spent years mastering and perfecting the technique.
Sharaina, a not of age and naïve girl was the last person he expected to create a wave so destructive after only days of training. He remembered ridiculing King Meelzib for deciding to teach her because he heavily underestimated her.
'This girl isn't normal.' Umandaang thought to himself.
Sharaina grew weak in her knees and fell to the ground. "I have finally completed my training." She smiled to herself.
The sore pain all over her body couldn't wipe the smile off her face. Umandaang made his way to her and looked down at her. His attention was turned to her hand.
Its skin had been torn up in many places and blood poured out of it. Umandaang turned his back on her and picked her up with his tail. He breathed fire and a portal to the castle opened.
Light and Lalina were sitting on the training stage. Lalina thought of bringing Light over to see Sharaina. She knew that Sharaina missed him. She also assumed that Sharaina would get hurt training so having Light here with her was going to be better. When she saw Sharaina's weakened state and wounded arm, she felt relieved that her assumptions were true.
Light jumped off the stage and ran to her. Umandaang sharply looked at him and he stopped midway. The two locked eyes as Umandaang gently laid Sharaina on the ground.
Light watched Umandaang disappear into thin air before finally running to Sharaina's aid. He knelt down before her and placed his hand on her cheek. Lalina knelt down on the other side and looked down at Sharaina with worry.
Sharaina stared at Light baffled. She could clearly see that he was worried sick. She turned to Lalina. "I think I'm hallucinating." Sharaina weakly said. "How can Light be here?"
Lalina giggled. "You are not hallucinating stupid one. He is here because I invited him over." Lalina confirmed to Sharaina.
Sharaina turned back to Light. "My love, how are you doing?" she asked with a weak smile.
Light laughed softly but his eyes couldn't hide the pain in them. "I am the one who is supposed to ask you that." He said.
He picked her off the ground and held her in his arms. Sharaina buried her face in his chest and closed her eyes to sleep. "Where is her room?" Light asked Lalina and she pointed. "It's a good thing that I fed before coming here. Her wounds are going to drain me completely." Light said as they hurried down the pavement.

It was finally night time in Gemhules. Everyone had gone to their respective rooms in order to rest. Naian sat on the bed reading a book while Emelinia combed her hair at the dressing table.
She looked at the bag of apples on Naian's working table through the mirror and grinned. Emelinia stood up and went to pick one. To her anger, only red apples were in the bag. Emelinia formed a scowl and stomped her feet. This attracted Naian's attention and he sighed before closing his book.
'And so it begins.' He thought to himself.
"Why are there only red apples in here Naian? I told you that I wanted green ones." She scolded him.
"They were out of green ones." Naian explained.
"Why didn't you search hard enough? Do you even care about my needs? This is so annoying!"
"Just eat the red ones. There's no difference." Naian said and Emelinia almost grabbed his neck.
She threw the plastic on the ground. "They are not the same! The green ones are juicier that's why I wanted them. Go and get me green apples now."
Naian wiped his face in frustration. "Emelinia, no one is selling at the market this time of the night. Moreover I just told you that there are no green apples at the market." He reminded her.
"Naian, I want green apples and I want them now!" Emelinia raised her voice.
"You do realize that apples are only found on Earth right? I have no ability to get there." He reminded her.
"I have that ability. Let's go right now. I don't think I will be able to sleep without my..." Emelinia paused and her eyes widened. Naian's eyes were equally wide. Both of them dropped their jaws.
They had just heard water spill to the floor.
Emelinia looked down but she could not see the water. She could only feel it through her socks. Naian peeped down and when he saw that in deed Emelinia's water broke, he felt weak. It was like his mind shut down. The both of them just stared at each other in silence for a whole minute.
"Emelinia...why has your water broken?" He asked her. "This is your eleventh month. There's supposed to be one more month left." He further said with his eyes closed in denial.
"The baby has decided to come early." Emelinia shrugged with a silly smile.
Naian shook his head. "Don't do this to me please." He begged with his hands together.
Emelinia laughed at him. "Do what? Don't be so dramatic."
Naian covered his mouth in shock. He put his hands down and licked his lips. "Shit," he whispered. "Um, wait here. Let me go and call mama." He got out of bed and rushed out.
As she waited for him to come back, Emelinia walked to the bathroom. Naian gently knocked on his parents' door. Akirexer heard him and she was puzzled. She put on her gown and went to the door. She was surprised to see Naian looking so nervous and afraid. Akirexer peeped at his bed room door and held her heart.
"Has something happened to Emelinia?" She asked, worried.
Naian pointed to his door as if it was going to speak on his behalf. "She...her...her water just broke." He stammered.
"What, her water broke? This baby wants to come early!" Akirexer raised her voice and it woke up Sharumez.
He got out of bed in panic and he looked at Naian who stared back at him in panic. "What? Isn't this her eleventh month?" He asked with his eyes wide open.
"It's her first pregnancy. It's normal for the baby to come early." Akirexer excitedly smiled.
"Don't do this to us." Sharumez said and Akirexer laughed. "What do we need to do?" He asked Akirexer
"For now just keep calm." Akirexer said with a smile. "Everything will be alright. That baby will out any time now. Let me wake up mama."

Emelinia sat naked in a tub filled with water. She could feel her baby trying its best to get out of her. It kept pushing and pressing inside. This caused Emelinia pain and a lot of discomfort. Akirexer knelt beside the bath tub and held her hand. Emana stood away with a towel in her hands.
"Alright honey, your time to push has come. Help your baby get out." Akirexer softly told her.
Sharumez sat quietly in the living room. He watched Naian walk back and forth in silence. The both of them refused to stay upstairs. Naian felt so anxious that it was choking him.
When they heard Emelinia scream Sharumez got off his seat. The both of them looked upstairs. Naian was about to pass out when he heard the cries of a baby. Naian felt so much joy that he started to laugh. He hugged Sharumez and both of them laughed merrily.
Emelinia held her baby close to her chest as Akirexer cut the umbilical cord. She turned to look at the baby and saw the star birth mark on its forehead. Emelinia kissed it and poked the baby's cheek.
"She looks so much like her father." Akirexer commented as she stroked the baby's dark hair.
"Oh look, she got his dimples too." Emelinia chuckled. Her wish was fulfilled.
Emana held out the towel to Emelinia. "Give me the baby." She said.
Emelinia wasn't too sure about handing her baby to Emana. She was a female seer and Emana made it clear that she hated female seers. Akirexer too shared her skepticism but she knew refusing to give her the baby was a bad idea. She gave Emelinia an assuring nod and she slowly gave her baby to Emana.
Emana looked at the baby with teary eyes. She poked the birthmark and chuckled. This left Akirexer and Emelinia completely shocked. Emana didn't notice their dropped jaws and wide eyes because she was completely enchanted by the baby. It looked so peaceful and cute as it whined in the towel.
Emana looked to Akirexer. "I am sorry." She voiced out and Akirexer lost all her energy. She sat on the floor and looked up to Emana with her jaw still dropped. "If I had known that even female seer children are equally precious, I wouldn't have thrown you down the stairs that day. I wouldn't have been mean and rude to you either. I blamed you for taking my son away from me but I was the one who
pushed him away by rejecting you."
Akirexer got up. "Mama you don't have to apologize. You are my mother. I never held a grudge against you." She said.
Emana sniffed. "Can we name the baby Precious? She is very precious for helping me realize how wrong I was." She requested.
"That's a beautiful name." Akirexer smiled. "Don't you think so too Emelinia?" Akirexer asked Emelinia.
"I love it. I'm sure Naian will love it too." Emelinia smiled.
"Well Precious, why don't we get you dressed up so that you can go and see your papa?" Emana asked the baby before walking out of the bathroom with it.
While Akirexer waited for the placenta to come out, Emana dressed the baby and wrapped it in a warm blanket. She gently held it in her arms and went down stairs. Naian couldn't contain himself when he saw Emana getting down the stairs with his baby. He rushed to her and she smiled warmly at him.
"Precious, your papa wants to hold you. I'm giving you to him now." She said.
Naian laughed softly. "It's a girl? And you have already named her?" He smiled.
When he finally held his baby he was stunned to see that she was a seer. He thought back to how warmly Emana spoke to the baby and he was shocked at her change of attitude. Sharumez placing his hand on his shoulder and looking down at the baby cut his thoughts. They both smiled at the baby and at each other.
Alainara got out of her room. She knew that the baby was finally born. She didn't want to see it but her curiosity finally got the best of her. She opted to sneak a peek at the baby. She was fond of babies after all.
Alainara loved Jenu's baby and Lakki. There was a baby in their house and it got her a little excited. She didn't want to admit her excitement because of her pride.
Naian saw her peep at the baby from up the stairs and he called her down. Alainara hesitated a little before finally agreeing. Sharumez told her to sit down on the couch. Once she was seated, Naian placed the baby in her arms. Alainara squeaked when she saw how much the baby resembled Naian.
"She looks just like you Naian." She joyfully said. "What's her name?"
"Her name is Precious."
