Chapter 102: Chapter 102

Liss arrived at the secret dimension but the sight before her was astonishing. The whole place was exhumed by flames. Dragons roared and destroyed tents while rebel warriors fought them off with their own dragons. Liss carefully put Mayla on her back and she started to run through the burning and smoking tents hoping that she would come across a gamarax manipulator.

Mayla’s weak eyes gazed upon the flames. “Liss, why haven’t you left Dark Star yet?” She asked.

“We aren’t in Dark Star. We have been betrayed by a traitor Mayla.” Liss answered. “Please no matter what you do Mayla don’t fall asleep. I need you to stay awake. I will do everything I can to find you a gamarax manipulator. Nelex and Geren should be somewhere close. I can sense them.”

“Don’t go to Geren please.” Mayla weakly begged.

“He will be more than willing to help you.” Liss insisted.

“Liss, I broke his heart.”

“He still loves you regardless. Come on stop this nonsense and save your strength.” Sharaina’s tent should be heavily guarded because of her baby. It should also have at least one gamarax manipulator. I have to make it there.

Naraygeous and Holan lashed swords at each other. Lalina watched helplessly as her father and lover went at it. Ronitte groaned and opened her eyes.

She was completely shocked to see Shays staring down at her with a smile across his face. Ronitte disgusted; pushed him away and sat upright holding her aching head.

“It is nice to see that you are finally awake.” Shays cheerfully said to Ronitte.

“Where is Lalina?” Ronitte asked Shays with a straight face.

Shays shook his head sideways with stretched lips and gestured towards Lalina with his hand. Ronitte was stunned that she didn’t realize that Lalina was lying down next to her.

She placed her hand on Lalina’s wounded belly and stained it with her blood. Ronitte’s eye widened at the sight of the blood.

“She is bleeding too much!” Ronitte exclaimed in panic. “At this rate she will hibernate.”

“Yes she will but what do we do? We can’t go back to the hideout. It has been ravaged by King Meelzib’s army.” Shays explained.

“What? Liss and Mayla went there.” Ronitte felt even more tensed.

“We can only hope that they are okay.”

Sevilon and Ouman stood up a high hill observing Sharaina’s battle with King Meelzib. Bodies of King Meelzib’s warriors were scattered around them. Some of them were conscious enough to groan and moan at their pain.

The sound of two thuds were heard. Sevilon looked at the new arrivals from the corner of his eye. Ouman turned to them and laughed.

“I didn’t know that you two were so special that you didn’t have to take full part in the war.” Commander Anray sarcastically commented.

“Don’t forget that these two have always felt highly of themselves just because they were close friends of King Raglan.” Commander Fed added with a scoff.

“Aha! I knew you two were always jealous.” Ouman mocked them.

Sevilon activated his sword. “I believe you aren’t here to talk.”

“You’re damn right we aren’t.” Anray grinned evilly. Her body and Fed’s started to glow red.

All four commander ranked darkas gods stood facing each other with glowing bodies. The gamarax emanating from them was so dense that it paralyzed all the warriors fighting on the hill and below.

The hill literally began to shake at their power. Tress and rocks went falling down the hill. Creatures that dwelled within lost consciousness.

Liss narrowed her way to Sharaina’s tent but stopped in her tracks when she saw that it was completely burnt to the ground. She frantically looked around for a gamarax manipulator but she saw none.

Liss gritted her teeth in frustration as she thought of what next to do. Four enemy warriors landed around her. They wasted no time in charging at her. Liss tired her best to fend them off but she was knocked to the ground with Mayla snatched away from her. Liss dived for Mayla and shielded her with her own body.

“You can get away from here Liss. It is too late for me.” Mayla weakly told Liss.

“Shut up Mayla! I would rather die than live with myself for abandoning you.” Liss vehemently said to Mayla.

The enemy warriors lifted their giant axes up. Mayla closed her eyes and accepted her fate whereas Liss held her breath. The warriors charged at Liss and Mayla and brought down their axes.

To their surprise, however, their axes hit into a purple gamarax bubble. They hit it with all their might but not even a crack was created. Liss lifted her head and tears of relief poured down her cheeks.

"Nelex!” She exclaimed.

The warriors turned their attention to Nelex who stood ten feet away from them with his hands held up in the air. They angrily gritted their teeth at him but he was unfazed. The warriors took steps towards Nelex but he shook his head at them.

“Gentlemen, I am not who your focus should be on.” Nelex teased.

Zentz zapped into the battle ground and with the speed of lightening, he cut the warriors in half from the waist. As soon as he was done, Nelex deactivated his bubble.

Zentz stood guard while Nelex rushed to examine Mayla. He took a look at her wound and frowned. His frown made Liss feel like her heart just fell into her stomach.

“She is really hurt. The bullets in her are absorbing her gamarax like a sponge. I have to get them out and also replace what she has lost.” Nelex softly explained to Liss and her tears dropped. “Don’t cry she will be okay. Let’s get her out of here so that she is given the help she needs.”

Zentz stared into the smoke that was coming from the remains of Sharaina’s tent. He focused his gamarax on the remains and tossed them all aside.

Zentz scanned the area around him once more and when he was satisfied that no enemies were watching him, he went to what used to be the center of the tent. With his hands, he moved the sand away and behold was a hidden fire proof manite door.

Zentz pulled it open and Liss watched him jump into the door. Zentz was met with ten spears pricked against his neck. He raised his arms in surrender. The moment the rebel guards recognized him, they dropped their weapons.

They cleared a path for him and Zentz set his eyes upon Channy with baby Dawn in her arm and Lakki in the other. Alongside them was Malov Chalov’s wife, Fidaphra.

“Come on, we have to get you all out of here now.” Zentz said to Channy.

“Are you sure that it is safe? We can’t risk putting the baby in danger. That will hinder Sharaina’s focus in battle when she senses it.” Channy stressed.

“I assure you that it is.” Zentz said to all of them.

The rebels got out of the hidden hole and took their positions around it with their spears ready. Zentz gently got baby Dawn away from Channy and handed him over to one of the rebels.

He then proceeded to go down on one knee and put his hands together. Lakki stepped on his hand and was pulled out of the hole. Channy and Fidaphra followed suit. Zentz got out of the hole and turned to Liss and Nelex.

Nelex got up and raised his hands up. A giant protective bubble began to form around everyone. It was half way through when it suddenly disappeared.

Nelex's eyes went blank and he dropped to the ground with Liss screaming after him. Zentz and the rebels got tensed as they gazed upon Commander Philanda who stood beside Nelex with her bloody claw gloves.

“That child, whose is it?” Philanda pointed to the baby.

Channy held the baby close to her heart while Lakki hugged her crying. The rebels formed a protected shield around Channy.

“Don’t let her get near the child. The whole of Dark Star depends on it!” Zentz ordered them. “Liss I know you are at pains right now but if you want us all to make it out of here in time to save Nelex and Mayla, you have to stand up and fight. There is literally no time to cry. Get the baby out of here and we will cover you.”

“Got it!” Liss got up and activated her sword.

King Meelzib took full advantage of Sharaina’s injury. He didn’t let any chance to strike her on her wound slid but took every opportunity with both hands. Sharaina felt drained and dizzy as she lay on her stomach. She could barely breathe as she desperately tried to get off the ground. Umandaang held her down in his claw and breathed smoke on her. King Meelzib laughed so hard at her.

“Is this what I was afraid of, a stupid little girl that can’t even defend herself? Pathetic!” He roared. “I’m starting to think that the Council of Elders tricked me by pointing at you. Perhaps my real enemy is still out there!” King Meelzib laughed hard.

“This was a total waste of my time. It is time you faced your punishment.” King Meelzib clapped his hands.

Sharaina huffed and puffed as she tried her best to get up.

Mistress! You must bring me back out please. Velna cried.

You know that I don’t have the strength to bring you back here. Sharaina answered Velna and gnashed her teeth.

“Look over there!” King Meelzib pointed to the red moon and Sharaina glared at him. “Don’t worry, you aren’t the one I am going to offer to the Lunar beast.”

King Meelzib raised his hands to the red moon. “Lunar Beast, I King Meelzib I’m honored to be in your presence. I wish to offer you a gift.”

Sharaina grew tensed wondering what King Meelzib was up to. The sight of her in laws kneeling bound in chains on the royal castle’s rooftop made her blood boil.

Their clothes were torn and whip lash sores could be seen through them. The family looked at Sharaina with sad eyes. King Meelzib folded his arms and smirked at Sharaina.

“Familiar sight isn’t it?” He mocked her.

“You son of a bitch.” Sharaina said through her gritted teeth.

“Oh calm down. They are not the ones I am offering to the Lunar Beast either.” King Meelzib clapped his hands.

Sharaina was completely devastated to see a nurse push Light on a wheel chair. He wore nothing but his pale green hibernation robes and house shoes. His head was held up by the chair’s special ‘neck rest’ provision.

The nurse placed Light at the center of the royal castle grounds and with a bow, she walked away. Nami and her daughters broke down crying when they realized what was about to happen.

“Won’t he make a worthy gift?” King Meelzib asked Sharaina mockingly.

“You do that and you will regret it!” Sharaina’s fangs appeared and Umandaang pressed his claw hard against her.

King Meelzib smiled and turned away from Sharaina gloating with his hands held up high to the red moon. “I present to you your prisoner. He is the husband of this traitorous harlot.”

The moon grew bigger and came closer to the ground. A bright light appeared and gigantic bear with skin like the night time sky full of stars slowly walked out of the light on its fours.

Its four bright white eyes looked deeply into Light. Sharaina saw it sniff him and she lost control of herself as she tried to get Umandaang off of her. One of her eyes was already beaming red as she glared furiously at the Lunar Beast.

The Lunar Beast opened its mouth and an even brighter light was in it. It started sucking air in and the wheels on Light’s chair turned towards it. Sharaina sunk her nails into the ground as she struggled to get out of Umandaang’s hold.

Her futile attempts only made King Meelzib laugh even harder. Light’s family cried and begged King Meelzib to stop what was happening but their cries fell on deaf ears.

To Sharaina and their horror, Light disappeared into the mouth of the Lunar Beast. The beast turned around and walked slowly back into the red moon. As soon as it got in, the moon shrunk and turned white again.

King Meelzib was laughing manically at this point. Light’s family cried as they gazed upon Sharaina who was still stuck under Umandaang.

“This is by far the biggest mistake you have ever made Meelzib.” Sharaina calmly said.

“Oh really?” King Meelzib looked down at Sharaina with a smug look.

An explosion of gamarax forced Umandaang off of Sharaina. Sharaina got up with her head slumped. Her entire body was beaming red. She straightened her head with a crack sound of her neck.

Her fangs appeared along with wings made entirely of gamarax. Sharaina's swords were in both her hands. Behind her was her army of dragons with Velna right beside her.

King Meelzib took a step back astonished. Light’s family was completely caught off guard by Sharaina’s appearance. They had never seen her in the state that she was in and it terrified them. Umandaang rushed behind King Meelzib and kept his eyes on Sharaina.

“I have always fought off this power within me because I never felt that it belonged to me.” Sharaina’s echoing feminine demonic voice sounded. “I was disgusted with it because it was greedily gotten by a wicked man through the cannibal technique. He mercilessly absorbed powerful and gifted warriors. Tonight however, I have decided to embrace this power. It is mine. To hell with how it came to be. If I have to be a beast in order to take you down, then so be it.” She flapped her wings and charged at King Meelzib.
