Joanna's POV They both whipped around, till their eyes landed on me. "Where have you been young lady?" Mom scolded in query with a glare I didn't take to heart, in regards to the happiness I saw dancing in her eyes. "A hug would suffice." I snickered, seeing as I had already expected that reaction from her. "GOD I've missed you," She croaked, and immediately hauled me in for an embrace. "It's okay mum." I laughed into her neck when I felt her squeeze me tight. "Hey Dad," I called in a wide smile at him over mom's shoulder, to which he responded with that same look Francis had on his face when my eyes landed on him . "It's okay Dad, am real," I voiced out, and I guessed that was all the reassurance he needed because the next thing I knew, I was being hugged by the two most important people in my life. "My beautiful daughter." He sniffed as he kissed my forehead. "Am here." I nodded, "and now, I need to breathe." "Sorry, sorry," They both uttered in unison, and released me before smiling at me afterward. "Have you eaten?" Mom implored, prompting me to shake my head. "Nope, but Francis went to get food," I assured as I saw their worried looks. "That boy loves you, you know that right?" Dad tested, a serious expression on his face as he spoke. "He actually sat in that chair for days on end, refusing to get up or speak to anyone." "I know Dad, I heard him." I grinned, "By the way, how long was I out for?" "A week and three days today." He said in a heavy sigh that showed how deep that admittance affected him. "Hey Dad, who are you two talking t__" Elvis started as he walked, in but paused, when he caught sight of me waddling over to the bed, my teeth shining through my smile. "You are---, you mean--," He blurted, though he didn't finish what he was about to say because he bolted my way, and soon I was lifted and got crushed in a bear hug I never knew I missed you so much. "Down boy." I cackled, tears running down my cheeks as I rubbed his back to assure him I was real. "I love you so much sis," He mumbled in a shaky voice. "Never, ever do that again," He whispered in my ear, and I simply nodded in response as I hugged him tighter. "Hands down from our bestfriend!" Tenda clapped after she had marched into the room to see Elvis hugging me. "Wow, you finally said Our Bestfriend for once." Harmony grinned from behind her like he'd won a jackpot. "I know what I said, I'm not deaf," Tenda retorted a stern glare bestowed on him. "Well, I thought you were oblivious to what you said because it won't be a surprise as your brain is currently lacking some screws," Harmony told in a shrug, trying to rile her up. "What the hell did yo__" Tenda's rant was cut short as Blake and Tony ran through her. PS: I know that's impossible but the expression drives home my point. and pushed me back on the bed, after Elvis had put me down, in their attempt to hug me. I merely laid there laughing my ass off as they struggled with each other, who to hold me. The fact they were all doing this on me, not minding I was still a bit fragile was crazy, but heck, I wouldn't trade that moment for anything. "Get off her, now!" Francis boomed the moment he strode into the room, a pink plastic plate in hand as he observed the situation. He then turned sideways to lend my parents a hard gaze before he spoke which shocked me, hence I would never in a million years had done that, he's got guts I know. "How could you all stand there and watch them try to kill her?" He thundered. "Chill, chill bro, they are all morons," Ifeanyi uttered and clamped his shoulder lightly. To my surprise, his weight was added to the pile of bodies on me. "Did he just?" Fahvour gasped, which made me swerve to see her few inches from the door, a dumbstruck expression on her face as she took in what just ensued. "Okay big guys, I feel the love, but I might need oxygen, so up," I choked, finally taking action after I felt my lungs about to close in on me due to the lack of air. "You heard the bestfriend, so obey her before I rip your heads off," Tenda sneered at them, and they complied afterward, jumping off immediately as if I was fire.
