Chapter 52: Chapter 52
Joanna's POV
"So," Ifeanyi cleared his throat before he continued with an uneasy smile. "Let's play spin the bottle."
"Of course, why didn't we remember on time," Tony uttered, after which they all chorused "Yeah, why?"
"Sure," Tenda and I retorted as we traded a glance.
"Let me get the bottle," Harmony proposed quickly, scrambling up like his pants were on fire.
"Hey!" Ifeanyi exclaimed. "Don't go moving around, it's my house!"
"And so?" He questioned in return, snickering. "I'm just getting the damn bottle."
"But you will my waste wine! I don't have an empty bottle," Ifeanyi cried, while he pouted like a baby.
"I won't!" Harmony yelled, from the kitchen.
"If you waste any wine, I swear I will roast you," Ifeanyi threatened, about to go meet him, but unfortunately Harmony strolled out, immediately afterward.
"Shut up psycho, I didn't waste any wine," Harmony reacted and wiggled an empty bottle playfully in his face before he continued with an "It's not even your wine anyway, it belongs to your parents."
"What belongs to my parents belongs to me," Ifeanyi disputed.
"Oh yeah, knowing you, I'm sure your parents won't let you go close to the liquor cabinet." Harmony teased.
"Why? Because I'll get drunk?" Ifeanyi quizzed, his lips curled in a smile hence he didn't know what Harmony was gonna say next.
"No," Harmony countered. "Because you'll end up breaking all of them."
"Oof!" Blake clamored in shock, while I placed a palm on my chest, as I felt the blow of what Harmony had uttered.
"I'm gonna kill you!" Ifeanyi cried in anger, and made a move to dive on Harmony, but was withheld by Tony.
"That's enough drama for today!" Tenda voiced out nervously as she gaped between a struggling Ifeanyi, and Harmony who sat relaxed and grinning.
"Can we stop bickering and play the game?" Blake groaned in inquiry, rubbing his face.
"Are you all ready?" Tony invited the instant he had succeeded to calm Ifeanyi down.
"Yup," We all chorused, as Ifeanyi muttered some indescribable words.
"I'll go first," Blake announced, as Harmony handed him the bottle.
"You all know the rules right?" Tony tested, and laughed afterward, as we all gave him a look.
"Okay," Blake said before he spun it, and the tip pointed at Tenda.
"Were you born with a gap tooth or did you do it yourself?" He asked.
Tenda shook her head at this and blurted a "Hey am not like those stupid girls, of course, it's natural."
"Let's hope it's true," Ifeanyi murmured, obtaining him a light punch from Tony.
"Your turn, spin." Harmony voiced as he sat up in his seat.
"It falls on, Harmony." Tenda pronounced, a smirk on her face, "Are you gay?"
"What?" Harmony polled in shock, not believing Tenda had asked him that. "Hell no!" He exclaimed. "I'm crushing on a girl, for your information."
"Uhuh, who?" Tenda interviewed.
"Um." He scratched his head, nervous. "Esther."
"Ooh, Tall nice ass Esther." Tony grinned. "Good job bro."
"I know, I'm a badass nigga." Harmony grinned back and fist-bumped him.
"I don't want to gag, so can we move on with the game?" I suggested as they got engrossed in talks about ass and boobs.
"Yes, yes, sorry." He chuckled before he gave the bottle a spin and spoke a "Who's next?"
"Ifeanyi," He called as it stopped. "Tell us, are you gay?"
"The fact I don't have a girlfriend doesn't make me gay." Ifeanyi mocked.
"Just answer the question." Tenda insisted.
"Well," He said in a sigh. "I'm not gay and I am not crushing on anyone, yet, this dude right here is single and searching."
"Aww, you will find a girl soon." I cooed the same moment Blake patted him on the back.
"Now, you are next," Tony spoke and winked in my direction.
"How do you know I'm gonna be next?" I questioned, doubtful.
"Watch, and see." He beamed as Ifeanyi spun the bottle, surprisingly it landed on me.
"Told ya!" Tony shouted, a triumphant smile on his face.
"Ifeanyi, shoot," I grumbled and rolled my eyes at Tony who wiggled his eyebrows suggestively.
Ifeanyi eyed me, clearing his throat before he asked, "Do you ever think you have known Frank before now? Like is there any weird connection or flashbacks?"
"Um," I spoke and rubbed my thumb over my lips in thought. "I think so. I remember the first time I saw him at the club, he looked kind of familiar but I couldn't place it," I affirmed.
"Even till now, I can't still place it, though I've tried countlessly. That day we met for the second time and I told him my name, I could swear I saw a flash of recognition run through his face but I didn't consider it," I continued, deep in thought.
"And also how he decided to call me Ana was really weird, and also the fact I call him Francis directly," I mumbled. "So yes, I feel there's a weird connection, plus I do get some crazy flashes in my mind sometimes when I'm with him, even though they aren't clear yet."
"Wow!" Harmony exclaimed, while Blake gave me a look and Ifeanyi's mouth hung open.
"Anything wrong?" I raised a question, mystified by their reactions.
"Nothing," Ifeanyi voiced out with a shy smile. "We are just shocked that you two are physically and mentally connected."
"I think that's enough fun for one day," Blake sprung up and walked over to where I sat. "I need to take Joanna home."
"Bye, people! Thank you all so much for today." I smiled appreciatively at them as Blake grabbed my hand.
"See yah folks, let me get this bitch home." He waved behind us.
As he tugged me out the door, and yes he did. I couldn't help but remember what Harmony was about to say before he caught himself.
What could that have meant? I asked myself, while I also thought of the weird question Ifeanyi threw at me.
Could that be a coincidence or--.
My train of thought got cut short when I felt a pain in my toe.
"Are you okay?" Blake doubted, a concerned mood on his face.
"Sorry," I answered. "I just hit my leg."
"Alright then, let's get you home," He spoke as we reached his car.
Harmony's POV On That Day (Present Tense)
Thank GOD I caught myself in time. Oh, thank the heavens. I could notice all the stares from everyone after the slip-up.
"Thank your stars," Ifeanyi blurts after they had left, and by they, I meant Joanna and Blake.
I shrug before I throw a question at him "Why did you ask Jo that, in the first place?"
"Ask Joanna what," He speaks, appearing lost.
I scoff, "Duh, the one about the flashbacks and familiarity."
"Ooh, sorry." He grins, looking pleased
"What's going on? I'm confused guys," Tenda asks, her eyes full of confusion.
"Don't worry baby, I will tell you everything on the way home," Tony says and pulls her up. "But you gotta promise not to tell her yet because it's all Frank's story to tell."
"Tell who what?" She questions.
"We should go, I'll fill you in." He murmurs as they steer for the door.
"Bye guys!" I yell, which they both return with a wave.
Frank's Pov
How I lost control and nearly fvcked her in the club was so out of character.
I was very grateful when Ifeanyi yanked her off me, but unfortunately, they were all drunk, warranting me to drive them home, and give them each, water to drink before I went into the room I usually stay at whenever I'm at his house, without their knowledge.
I heard all they said, and I kind of think it's about time I tell her something, if not everything because the slip-ups were becoming frequent
