Chapter 32: Chapter 32
Frank's POV.
I was a little pissed when she didn't pick my calls, but I instructed myself that there must have been a reason.
When she did, I was ready to bark out in anger but all that melted when I heard her voice. This proved I was whipped.
The moment Elvis phoned me and decided to hang out I was delighted hence I was done lounging at home, and though I was with Elvis earlier, my mind kept going back to her and how I couldn't wait to feel her presence.
After he left me hanging I was bored, until I caught sight of Blake and Dora. I recalled what Ifeanyi had relayed to me earlier about him and his friends going to the mall.
Peering at that moment to see everyone laughing, most especially the smile on her face made my Christmas.
Joanna's POV
Christmas flew by together with the new year and it was now February, so you see what I meant by fast as it wasn't even January rather it was February with my birthday less than a week away.
It was Valentine's day today and yes I said it that way because everyone around me in the school halls was being all lovey-dovey with each other.
And please don't offer me that weird glance, I wasn't against it, but I would have loved if the horny teenagers could tone it down to a minimum, thus watching them grinding in the halls and herding to sucking noises were not my thing.
Actually, thinking about all that right now makes me want to puke.
"Now why's your face all scrunched up that way lile you just saw someone take a shit." Tenda voiced out which made me look away from the grisly teenagers and swerve to spot her reach me, Tony, right behind her.
"Don't blame her babe, her soon-to-be boyfriend hasn't done anything for her yet." Tony scoffed, conveying a look that said he doesn't love you I simply rolled my eyes as I was bored of his silly mood swings whenever Frank was mentioned.
Anyway, don't get the wrong idea or anything but Frank had been acting a little strange for some time and we weren't even quarreling.
He'd just been off like he was avoiding me. I know we weren't officially dating yet but I understood we were past the cat and mouse stage to be avoiding each other for no reason.
And if there's one thing I hate the most in my life, it was being avoided by someone who meant much to me, as it breaks me more than you could imagine.
It was for this reason that I didn't want anyone to get close to me because I couldn't stand being ignored. Now I think of it, I got that trait from dad.
"Let the girl be!" Tenda yelled, finally taking action as she hit Tony hard on the chest to shut him up.
"Is that how to treat your boyfriend on Valentine's day?" He pouted in return.
"Yes." She nodded fiercely, "And it would go on if you don't apologize this instant."
"But__ Bu__." He started, and later paused in defeat after the stern glare she sent his way. "Fine! I'm sorry Jo, I really am, I disrespected your feelings, sorry."
I shrugged and snorted at his apology until Tenda lent me a sorry gaze that me rolling my eyes as I replied.
"I'm not even angry anyway, forget it."
"Are you sure?" Tenda inquired, making me release a tight smile.
"Happy Valentine's day baby," She voiced out and provided me a bear hug.
"Happy Valentine's day to you too dearie." I beamed and returned her embrace.
"Now, I've been staring at two ugly faces while the odd one was scowling, but it's high time I hug my best friend." I heard Harmony say, after which Tenda was yanked away from me and I was lifted in the air and spun around like a toy.
I cackled in excitement as I observed everything and everyone spin around me in a blur, though soon enough I was placed back gently on the ground.
"Guys, where's Ifeanyi?" I interrogated when I got rid of the dizziness that followed immediately after my feet touched the ground.
"I don't know," Tony spoke, the same time Harmony shrugged.
"Why isn't he in school yet?" I questioned, slightly worried hence it was weird for Ifeanyi not to be in school by half-past eight in the morning when classes were about to start in a few minutes.
"Speaking of missing friends, where's Blake?" Tenda voiced out in a query, her vision darting around the hallway.
"He skipped school today to hang out with Dora." I retorted.
"She's still home?" Tony implored.
"Yup." I nodded, "and I think they are hitting it off well, however, when you ask her if she likes him her answer is always no, saying they are just friends."
"Oh, the denial stage, cool." Harmony chuckled.
"We're hanging out today though," He added, in which I gave him a curious look.
"Happy Valentine's day beautiful people!" Ifeanyi cried as he catwalked towards us.
"Where have you been bruh!" Tony howled in inquiry detaching his lips from Tenda's where it was locked a few seconds ago.
"Yeah, where were you?" I polled, " I was getting worried."
"Awwn." He grinned, "You missed me."
I snickered, the same time Harmony rolled his eyes and said, "Answer the question bro."
"No Valentine's day for me?" Ifeanyi whined, "No one said it back."
"See who's talking, I haven't even heard Valentine's day from a certain someone." I blurted, as the disappointment and lonely feeling I tried to ignore finally started to get to me.
Harmony noticed this through my slightly cracked voice which resulted in him pathing my back rhythmically to soothe me.
"Happy Valentine's day idiot." Tenda voiced out in reply to what Ifeanyi said previously as she didn't recognize my expression.
"Anyway!" Ifeanyi scoffed and ignored her before he turned to send a smile my way and continued what he was saying, "I'm a little late because___
"Because what." Tony blurted, slightly irritated at his pause.
"Have room for a little drama people!" Ifeanyi groaned.
"I miss Blake," I muttered under my breath as I was already tired of their bickering.
"I was late because I was busy sneaking this idiot in," Ifeanyi said with a roll of his eyes.
"Which Id-- Harmony began but stopped when we all saw the idiot Ifeanyi was blabbing about, maybe I should say my idiot.
I called him my idiot because he walked towards me with wrapped sharwama and a plate of strawberry ice cream.
He knew I didn't like all those over romantic shit so he brought me what I'd been craving since Christmas day, Sharwama.
In case you still don't get who I'm talking about, the Idiot in question was Frank.
"Happy Valentine's day baby," He asserted, a smile on his lips as he handed the food bag to Tenda so he could pull me to him where he crashed his lips down on mine in a fierce kiss.
Thank GOD! I internally sighed, partly because of the relief that he showed up, and also because I was glad the food was given to Tenda and not anyone else.
"Happy Valentine's day hunnie." I grinned as we parted for a second to breathe before his lips met mine once more in a soft yet demanding kiss.
I felt my body tingle as the kiss grew passionate and moaned in delight when he lightly bit and sucked my lower lip.
I tangled my fingers in his hair and tugged his head closer, kissing him back with everything I had in me.
"Eh hem, children in the room." Ifeanyi coughed, to which I laughed at his craziness, the same time Frank groaned.
"Now you guys are done, I can take this!" Harmony blurted and snatched the food bag from Tenda to open it.
"Did he just?" I asked in disbelief,
Tony nodded in reply while Tenda struggled to hold in her laugh.
"Yep!" Ifeanyi affirmed. "I think you need to shut your eyes tight for this one bro." He nodded to Frank who looked a bit confused.
"Run." Tony nodded at Harmony as a signal in which he obeyed and took off.
I then whirled to Frank with a smile and said. "I'm sorry dear but I have to do this."
"Come back here asshole!" I screamed at Harmony and broke out in a run, chasing after him.
He turned when he noticed me catching up and merely winked, the idiot freaking winked at me.
Oh he's so so dead I thought and added speed to my legs.
