Chapter 33: Chapter 33
*Aahil Pov*
Why the hell did I even kiss her? I thought, frowning and shook my head, staring at the ceiling wishing I didn’t do it.
But she just does not know when to shut up or stop herself from saying something, which is making me wish to hit something hard. However, I know I can’t hit her, and I think I should even stop kissing her.
It is not like I have no right to as she is my wife, but I do not want her to be. I cannot forget that she is carrying someone else baby and is even trying to trap me by not signing the papers.
However, why would she want to do that? I asked myself thinking does she really hates my family like her Dad. What would she gain from all this when she can go to the baby’s father?
I wish to ask her all of these, but with the second word she utters, my blood just boils with anger with her sarcasm and challenging tone.
“You are up early.” Mom stated in a surprise tone, and I rolled my eyes before sitting down at the dining table.
“Where is she?” Dad asked, moving the paper aside.
“Sleeping!” I replied and waited for the breakfast.
When Mridula started serving us breakfast, Dad cleared his throat in a way that shows he has something to talk with us. We all glanced up to see him waiting for us.
“Do not act stupidly with her. I am telling this to each one of you. Her father will not leave this chance to destroy so try to behave properly.” He warned in a way.
“I don’t care what her father will do Dad.” I said shaking my head.
“I am her mother-in-law and will act like one even for a small time.” Mom said and he sighed.
“No! Act like she is a guest here. Tell Tajwar too about this.” He said the last sentence to Mridula.
Even though Bhai started to have dinner with us, he is still leaving for work early in the morning, so he is not staying here. Before we could say a word, we heard footsteps.
“I will not be late tomorrow. I didn’t know the timings.” I heard Nipuna before she sat down beside me.
“Didn’t I tell you to tell her about the timings, Mridula?” Mom shouted at her making all of us look at her.
“Mom!” I said, frowning and glanced at Mridula to see her taking a deep breath.
“She was tired yesterday so I thought to get the food for her in her room.” Mridula explained and started serving Nipuna.
“I will serve myself.” Nipuna said stopping her.
“Please!” Mridula whispered and Nipune moved her hands away, letting her serve the food.
“I am sorry!” Nipuna whispered to Mridula and I glanced at Mom to see she didn’t hear it.
“I am going to the office.” I said, getting up leaving the food.
“You can’t! You got married just yesterday so stay at home for one week.” Dad said stopping me.
“I do not really care what anyone will say. I have some work to finish.” I said shrugging.
“I said you can’t go. Just stay here and work on your plans.” He said in a way that there will be no other discussions.
“I said I am not a kid. Now I will go to the office and will even stay there until very late.” I said and walked away ignoring his calls.

So my dear husband knows how to stand up to his point! I thought and glanced at Uncle to see his face becoming red with anger and Aunty is not even caring about it.
“They may think that how a great politician, he is that he thinks about his work more than his life.” I offered slowly, and he looked at me in surprise before nodding his head.
After breakfast, both Uncle and Aunty left the table while Mridula made the maid pick the plates from the table in a very systematic manner and moving around like she is more than used to this.
“When did you get married to Tajwar?” I asked her remembering his name.
“Four months!” She replied giving me a small smile and then passed a juice glass for me.
“Wow! In such a less time, you have everything very organized, and I don’t think I will know even a little even after one year.” I commented, hearing her instructing the chef what to cook for today afternoon.
“In such a short time, no one can get used to or know about what happens around here.” She mumbled stepping outside the kitchen while I am leaning on the wall.
“Then how did you?” I asked her frowning.
“I have been living here for many years. And that is how I know all this but it took so much time to know.” She replied.
“Really? So, is it love marriage?” I asked her smiling and her smile immediately left her face.
“No! It is arranged.” She replied and before I could ask her about why she is looking dull, she changed the topic explaining and introducing the staff and even told me about the people who will help me if I need anything as I am pregnant now.
If I thought, the morning breakfast is weird, then I don’t have words for afternoon time. As no son of them is here, and I know about their third son living in a flat and then Tajwar, who will stay in his work and today Aahil too stayed at his work, which seems to be new.
Aunty and Uncle haven’t uttered a single word to each other except Aunty instructing Mridula for the night’s food and then regarding the cleaning of specific rooms.
Now I know that many families are weird and distant and not only mine. My Dad would feel happy that I am thinking his enemy as weird.
“Do you work?” Uncle suddenly asked and for a few seconds my mind went blank to come out of my thoughts.
“Yes! I volunteer for orphanages and old-age homes. I will see to that they get funds and will pass the ideas for organizations to get them.” I replied, and he listened to them keenly.
“That’s good! I will ask Aahil to tell them about you in his campaign.” He said, and my smile went down.
“My son doesn’t need someone else’s work credit to get anything.” Aunty commented.
“If you don’t know about how this world works, then it would be better if you stay calm.” He retorted.
“You are right! I do not know, and I do not even want to know.” She spatted before getting up and walked away.
A few minutes later, Uncle too did the same while I stared at all this without blinking for a second and then glanced at Mridula to see her normal with all these things.
“It is a good thing that spat happens between husband and wife.” She explained and I slowly nodded still feeling the shock hearing their weird argument.
“Here!” I heard her voice and glanced up from the magazine to see her holding a plate full of fruits.
“For me?” I asked her smiling.
“Yeah! I heard that you should eat all these things.” She replied and sat before me.
“Thanks for the care you know.” I mumbled awkwardly because I never felt someone’s care other than my friends and not in this way from them too.
“You are family, right?” She asked and looked up only to frown.
“You are home?” She asked, and I glanced back thinking it is her husband but turned out to be Dileep.
“Yes!” He replied and then glanced at me with a frown before started walking near to the stairs.
“Shall I bring you some snacks?” She asked getting up.
“I want to be alone.” He replied without looking back and climbed the stairs while she sighed.
“Is there anyone you do not care about?” I asked her raising my eyebrow to which she frowned.
“If you do not want me interfering, then I will not do all this.” She replied and felt like she is actually sinking herself into a hole.
“No, no! It is just that everyone is angry with me thinking I trapped Aahil but you are very normal and even caring for me. I am having difficulty to think it is even possible.” I explained.
“What is the baby’s fault? I know that you should not feel sad or alone at this time.” She mumbled.
“And if you are not pregnant, then I would have not even looked at your face.” She added making me smile.
“Why do I feel that it is a big white lie?” I asked her raising my eyebrow.
“I will go and see for dinner’s preparation.” She replied, getting up and walked away.
“I didn’t think you would be here, Dileep.” Aunty said in a happy tone, and I stopped myself before rolling my eyes.
He is not a kid to be happy that he is home. I shook my head and saw that Aahil’s place is empty, which means he didn’t return for dinner.
“Of course you would be happy, but now I want to stay with peace.” He said in a pissed-off tone.
“I heard you got a maid.” She commented and Dileep immediately stood up.
“Will you stop spying my life?” He shouted before walking away, and everyone stared at his back in shock while I just shook my head not having energy to bear another drama on this single day.
Even Tajwar didn’t even glance at his brother and just had his food making me think he must have some different attitude with himself, or he is also vexed with all the drama.
“Did you have dinner?” I asked him the moment he stepped inside the room, and he literally shrieked making me chuckle.
“What the hell? Why are you asking that question?” He asked, glaring at me and walked inside.
“A good wife always asks this question.” I replied smriking.
“You are not my wife.” He stated shaking his head and took out his night clothes.
“Oh my god! I think my life is a waste here when my own husband says that I am not his wife.” I said, placing my wrist on my forehead in a dramatic way.
“Are you mad?” he asked with wide eyes, and I burst out laughing.
“You didn’t answer my question.” I said when he returned to the bed.
“Yes! I had my dinner, and Mridula served the food so you can ask her.” He stated before lying down.
“I like her! She is different, but very sweet.” I said, thinking about her actions from morning.
“She is great, but you stay away from her.” His warning surprised me.
“Why?” I asked him frowning.
“Because I said so. She is kind, so she will believe you, and I will not want her to your side. So, stay away.” He replied shaking his head.
“Otherwise, what will do? Will you kiss me or what?” I asked him, remembering yesterday incidents and laid down.
“I would never do that stupid thing again.” He replied grumbling.
“Good for you.” I mumbled before closing my eyes.
“I said I will not.” He commented making me open one eye to stare at him.
“And I said good for you.” I retorted before drifting off into sleep.
