Chapter 32: Chapter 32

*Nipuna Pov*

“Thanks for being with me all this time, Chaitra.” I said, hugging her when she decided to leave along with the remaining guests.

Dad already left and I just nodded at him when he indicated that he was leaving. What else should I tell him when I know now he is going to breathe in relief that there is not much of a scandal?

“Why wouldn’t I be? Anyway, I will tell our friends about your wedding tomorrow like you asked me to.” She said and I nodded.

“Tell them it was not like a grudge for not telling them but just didn’t want to have anything else on my plate for today.” I explained again and she nodded walking away.

“Did you have your dinner?” I heard my Mother-in-law asking Aahil who is standing little away from me.

“No! I am not hungry.” Hearing his reply, she glanced at me asking the same.

“I did!” I replied and she nodded before calling for someone.

“Take her to Aahil’s room.” She mumbled to the woman who reached near us and I wish I knew her name as I even saw her when I came here along with Dad yesterday.

“Why would she live in my room?” Aahil asked his Mom.

“Do not act like a kid, Aahil. There are still guests left so just be quiet.” She warned and I walked away following the woman.

“What is your name?” I asked her when we both are climbing the stairs.

“Mridula! I am Aahil’s brother Tajwar’s wife.” She replied and then turned towards the left side of the stairs.

“Right side will be the wing of Dileep’s and the left side is Aahil’s which means even yours.

“Upstairs?” I asked her seeing the stairs in the middle.

“It is Tajwar’s and mine. Aunty and Uncle live in the wing, which is behind the stairs near the living room. Everyone can’t see that wing standing at the living room.” She explained everything by the time we reached the room.

“Then where will the guests stay?” I asked her not knowing what else to talk with her.

“There is a building at the back and even a few rooms above this floor, but they are locked.” She replied and then turned back to look at me.

“Your luggage is already here and is placed properly inside the cupboards by the maid. I know that you 're pregnant, so it would be good to use the elevator if you want to. I will tell you the timings for the breakfast, lunch and dinner.” She added and then stared at my face.

“There are rules?” I asked her, hoping there is not.

“No! It is your wish to come downstairs otherwise I will bring the food here. It is not a rule, but it would be good to eat together.” She replied and I slowly nodded understanding her wary nature near me.

“You are younger than me, right?” I asked her and she glanced at me a little surprised.

“That depends on your age. I am twenty two.” She replied shrugging.

“I am twenty five.” I mumbled.

“Same as Dileep. It is good that you and Aahil don’t have much age difference.” She mumbled awkwardly.

“What is his age?” I asked her hiding my smile.

“Twenty six!” She replied with lips twitching up.

“You don’t hate me like his family.” I stated and she slowly nodded.

“I don’t know you much to hate you and he is not a kid who needs all the people he has to detest the person he has a problem with.” She slowly explained and I don’t know why I did it but I just hugged her feeling a balance may be.

“Thank you! You don’t know how much I need to hear those words.” I said leaving her.

“I am not your side too.” She pointed out calmly and walked away.

I walked near to the mirror and started removing all the pins in my hair Chaitra managed to place and then removed the jewelry Dad gave in the morning to wear as they belong to Mom.

“Here! Sign these papers.” I got startled hearing the words as I got lost thinking what would happen if my Mom was here.

“You scared me, Aahil.” I mumbled before standing up.

“I don’t care about that, but just sign these.” He said showing me the papers he is holding.

“Did you sign them?” I asked him before taking the papers and the pen.

“Of course! I did it the moment, I received them. Now sign them before I lose my control.” He replied in a harsh way.

“What will you do if the baby turned out to be yours in the test?” I asked him raising my eyebrow.

“I don’t believe that would happen for a second and you know why.” He replied in a confident tone.

“Why?” I asked him, folding my arms still holding the papers.

“I used protection.” He replied like it solved the whole world’s problems.

“So? Don’t you know that they are not to be trusted too much?” I asked him and he wavered a little but stood his point.

“It maybe, but there is no way that it will happen for the one time we are together.” He replied shaking his head.

“Two times!” I mumbled frowning at him.

“What?” he asked, frowning back.

“We were together two times. Did you forget waking me up and before you left you kissed me, but didn’t stop just there?” I asked him back.

He stilled before slowly nodded and said “What difference will it make? I do not believe you.”

“What will I earn with all these?” I asked him sighing.

“I know that your Dad hates my family. I never took you to be a dotting daughter.” He replied smirking.

“You know what? To hell with your papers.” I said before throwing them on his face and walked near to the closet to take clothes.

“What do you mean?” he asked and I felt him walking near to me.

“That I will not sign those papers.” I replied and turned around holding the night clothes.

“You can’t step back from your word.” He stated, glaring at me with so much rage.

“Try me!” I mumble challenging him and what he did next is more than a surprise.

He just grabbed my neck and before I could accuse him to be killing me, he just pressed his lips to mine. I stood still for a few seconds before realizing the pull I felt for him the moment he held me at the party and gave into the kiss which is certainly not a soft one.

After a few minutes, he released me cursing himself and I smiled at him saying “This is what you would make me sign those papers?”

“You are not standing on your word.” He stated making me sigh.

“I would love to but, you are being so rude to me and not believing my word even as a possibility.” I said shrugging and pushed him away before stepping inside the washroom.

“I am talking to you.” He said following me.

“I am listening.” I mumbled before slamming the door on his face.

“I can’t believe this.” I heard his shouts, but just ignored him stepping inside the shower and had a much needed bath.

“I am going to sleep.” I informed him stepping outside the washroom and saw him still standing near the door fuming.

“You have too much temper for the profession you are in.” I commented and then started walking near to the bed.

“You just bring the worst out of me.” He uttered before holding my wrist and pulled me back to him.

However, with a force I tried to move only near to the bed and between this tugging, we both fell on it with him over me like in the party.

“Will you sign or not?” he asked in a tone that should have made me wary of him, but it actually made me laugh at him.

“I am so scared.” I mumbled, rolling my eyes and tried to push him away from me.

“That’s it!” He mumbled and crashed his lips to mine, but I pushed him away not wanting to have any more complications.

“I will not sign the papers, Aahil. Maybe not until I feel any respect from you for me. And as for this relation, we do not want more complications.” I mumbled before closing my eyes with my back to him and drifted off into sleep.
