Chapter 98: Chapter 98
CHAPTER FORTY ONE
Jimin's eyebrows knitted together as he watched the Luna of the pack goes her way towards the depth of the forest. He was hesitant to whether leave her alone or be with her but surely, he just turned around making his way back towards the territory.
He was confused with few questions. What is the Luna even talking about? Who is she trying to find?
The Duke snapped out of his trance, when he heard murmurs and mumbles as soon as he entered the territory. He looked around the area where he could see the others have concern expressions, and could hear their thoughts wherein they are worried about their alpha.
What's wrong with the territory? He mentally asked. He stopped his tracks, hands inserted inside the pocket as his eyes narrowed at the young man who was kneeling in front of Caroline's room. He raised an eyebrow, amused by how there was someone making a fool of himself or even looked dumb doing that.
"What's going on here?" Jimin asked, snorting and squinted his eyes towards the two wolves passing by. They stopped their tracks, sighing as they, too, eyed the young man.
"That is the way of Tía is punishing someone." The one with black hair answered. "Kneel until she will forgive you."
Jimin's eyebrows lined when a certain scent entered his nose. "Why was he being punished? What happened, and who is he?"
He scanned the area, trying to figure out who that scent belonged to. The scent where it seemed too known for him.
"That is our Alpha," The brown haired guy released a problematic sigh. "He was being punished by Tía for mating and marking a stranger instead of our Luna."
Jimin's eyes widened, bewildered. He was enliven as to why would an Alpha mark and mate with someone who isn't even their bounded mate? He shook his head before nodding for the two to walk away as they bowed to the Duke and continue their walk.
Jimin pursed his lips, troubled about the Luna that was in the forest. "Is that why she ran away?"
He huffed, turning around but the scent entered his nasal cavity again. In curiosity, he turned around and slowly approached the Alpha, this time, the scent was becoming more stronger as he got nearer. His eyes widened as the lingering and the familiar scent clicked in his mind, and that's when his eyes moistened.
The young man both has the Tía's scent in him mixed with another's scent, and that scent has the same scent as the young kid in the forest. He gasped, covering his mouth as tears started to form on his eyes.
That means, he is Seokjin hyung's child?
Jimin started to wonder, stepping backward before running away to hide himself. No. He could be wrong because Jun said that the pup that was in the forest back then is Seokjin's child, and there's no way that young adult is that same pup.
How did he even grew up so fast?
"Excuse me!" Jimin squeaked, grabbing a hold of a shewolf making her startle, clutching her chest.
"Yes, may I help you?" The shewolf answered, groaning when she realised it was the Duke of Vampires.
"W-What is the name of that man?" Jimin asked, pointing at the young one who was still kneeling. "Y-Your Alpha?"
"His name?" The shewolf asked as Jimin eagerly nodded in response. She arched her eyebrows before clearing her throat. "That is Alpha Jeon Jungkook."
And that's when his body went numb, crashing his whole world as he tried to analyse everything starting from the top. The one that Jun mentioned as Seokjin's child is the child that was with him in the forest.
The name of the child was Jungkook.
And the scent the man has is the same as the little pup that was with Ha Na months ago. The Alpha of Moon Pack is all along Seokjin's hyung child?
Jimin panicked, and the shewolf watched him in ridiculed expression before leaving him. He thought, And the Tía was the werewolf wife that Seokjin hyung mentioned before?
But the big question here was— How did Jungkook grew so fast?
Ha Na panted, wheezing as she tried to catch her breath. She has been searching for hours now, and she couldn't find any trace of Kiana in the forest. She wanted to talk to her, at least be in the territory for a few months until her baby is born because Ha Na couldn't let a pregnant woman be alone.
Tears streamed down her face, unable to breathe anymore as she was clutching her chest that felt so tight. She was fighting to properly breathe, gasping for air. Her legs trembled as something inside her stomach was burning and kicking, she doesn't get why.
All of a sudden, she felt dizzy as if her surroundings was spinning and tried to grasp something for support. Images appeared, and voices could be heard as she tried to breathe in and out for air with hot tears falling down. She closed her eyes, chest rising up and down before falling on the ground. Her eyes rolled at the back of her head, heavy weight was burdening her as she leaned on the rock, feeling her body goes weak.
"Jungkookie...Do you want to have some chocolates and Banana milk?"
"N-noona...Don't c-cry please."
"It's my fault. I shouldn't of have ran with y-you in this forest."
She shook her head, trying to regain her consciousness. She couldn't give up now.
"You have to bare with it, okay? Noona promise to s-save you. Please wait a little bit."
"A-alright, N-noona. I w-will wait."
Ha Na's eyes fluttered open, forcefully trying to sit up in her fragile state.
"Don't sleep on me, Jungkook!"
"Jungkookie... Aunt Elisse is already here. Noona promised save you, right? Please wake up now."
She firmly stood up, with the help of the rock and the tree as she gripped the hem of her shirt before continuing to walk.
"Don't pull jokes on me, Jungkookie."
"Don't you want Banana Milk? Noona-ga, will give you a bunch of banana milk, alright? What do you think about it?"
Her head was spinning, but she was forcing herself to walk as voices continue to echo in her ears.
"Ha Na! We need to escape!"
Her head throbbed in pain making her winced and shrieked in pain causing her to stumble back on the ground. She gritted her teeth, standing on her feet again, and her eyes were fixed on the small tent that was a few meters away from her, oblivious about the blood dripping down from her core.
A smile tugged on her lips before continuing to walk towards the tent with the guards, not minding the pain in her stomach. The guards snapped their head towards Ha Na, confused as to why the Luna is in the prison cell of the territory.
A gasped escaped their lips, seeing their Luna with blood flowing down her legs, and out of panic, one of them called the caretaker that was treating Kiana inside the tent.
Such then, a figure came out of the tent, surprised and shock written on her face.
"What happened to you?!" She squeaked, giving the tray to the guards before running towards Ha Na to catch her.
Ha Na fell down, letting all the weakness just overtook her, and gladly the caretaker was there to catch her. The caretaker glanced down to Ha Na's legs, anxiety rushed down her body as she yelped. "Blood! Go call the territory's physician!"
She demanded, and one of the guards nodded before going to the pack's territory. Surely, she couldn't treat major case like this. She is just after all the caretaker of the cell prison, and also treating the guards' small wounds.
"Wait—" The caretaker covered her mouth in even more surprise, sniffing the scent of the lady before her hands travelled to the silk that was covering her face.
With a shaky hand, heart pounding, she slowly pushed down the silk, uncovering her face. She gasped, lips quivered and eyes glistened at the sight of the person she wanted to see but never had the guts to face.
"Ha Na!" She pulled her into a tight hugged, missing her embrace as tears fell on her cheeks. Ha Na opened her eyes with her remaining energy to glance at the person who was embracing her.
"It's me," Ha Na could feel how the tears of the other touched her skin as her vision went blurry.
"It's me, your best friend."
Was all Ha Na could hear before she lost her consciousness.
