CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO

WOLF TERRITORY

"What are you doing here, noona?" Jungkook asked from behind as Ha Na looked over her shoulders.

A smile lingered her lips when Jungkook stood behind her, and she glanced back at the pups who were playing with each other.

"Why do you keep calling me noona if I'm your mate?" Ha Na questioned, giggling making Jungkook cleared his throat. "Just call me Ha Na."

Jungkook inhaled sharply, facing Ha Na, and scratch the nape of his neck. "I'm comfortable calling you Noona."

Her smile turned into a frown, sticking out her bottom lips before nodding. The Alpha noticed how his mate's eyes became glossy, and parted his lips to say something until a shout echoed the entire pack's residence making the two of them jerked their head towards the noise.

"Kiana?" Ha Na furrowed her eyebrows, and was about to run but got startled when Jungkook quickly rushed towards the medics room first. It would be a lie if Ha Na would deny about his actions hurting her a bit.

When Ha Na followed Jungkook in, Caroline appeared out of nowhere making Jungkook and her halt in front of the medics room.

"Get out of there!" Caroline hissed, stopping the two from going inside.

"What—"

She growled, adding. "She will hurt you!"

"But mom —"

"She's pregnant!" Jungkook's mother yelped, and the two looked at her in baffled expression.

Caroline looked at her son in a suspicious manner like since when did her son become caring this way towards a stranger? She frowned, telling them. "If you get near her, she will have her guarding behavior of the fetus and accidentally kill anyone near her!"

Jungkook looked flustered, stepping back from the room with Ha Na behind him. "What's wrong with her then, mom?!"

Caroline sighed, calming herself down. "That child she's carrying is a vampire, and her body isn't handling the fetus well knowing that she's an omega. So don't worry, the doctor is already there."

The two mates just nodded, stepping back away and waited for the doctor to announce that it'll be safe to get near now.

Ha Na's heart palpated twice times as she entered the medics room when she knew about it being safe already while Jungkook stayed behind for a while. She approached her unconscious figure, sitting down on the chair beside the bed, and she looked at her for a while with her bottom lip stuck out.

"You're pregnant?" Ha Na asked softly, leaning forward to touch her belly. She carefully rubbed the omega’s stomach that has a fetus inside her, and she was envious about someone being pregnant.

"I want one too." She mumbled under her breath but the person behind her managed to hear her words, and frowned.

Jungkook took a glimpse of his mate, feeling a bit ashamed to face her. He looked down, thinking. You're already pregnant.

He wasn't bothered about Ha Na being pregnant with Taehyung's child nor her wanting a child. Of course, he wanted his mate to bare his pup. But why couldn't he just dare do the mate bond and mark her?

Is it because Ha Na is already mated and marked by Taehyung? It couldn't be right? He can just mark Ha Na and the bond she has with Taehyung will be broken. However, as of the moment, he didn't care about that at all.

What bothers him was that, ever since Kiana entered his life, he couldn't stop thinking about the scent she has on her that keeps letting him go to her. It was as if he wanted her—to mate her instead of Ha Na which was supposedly his mate.

His mother said about mates being attracted to each other other. That the wolf inside can smell their mate's alluring scent but is it possible to smell the same scent at two different people?

Jungkook once again looked at Ha Na behind before deciding to just turn his back, leaving the two of them to talk. He shook off the idea of the odd smell even though it's tempting him. He has gone so far to make Ha Na his, even erased her memories. He shouldn't feel this way, right?

"That child will extraordinary, son." Caroline came behind her son.

Jungkook closed his eyes tightly, still walking towards his room as his mother follow him. He needed time and space. He needed to clear his thoughts about the confusing situation.

"That child is a half breed. Just like you and Jimin, but in a different way, you know." Jungkook stopped his tracks and looked at his mother in interest.

What about the child that she is carrying? His wolf jumped inside in anticipation.

"You are from a royal wolf and a human. That's why you're powerful as an alpha. While Jimin is from a werewolf race yet survive the vampire blood in him." Caroline explained. "But that child..."

"What about the child?" He felt a sting inside his heart when he heard about the omega bearing a child of someone....

Someone that is not me. Jungkook tried his best not to look upset about it but his heart and mind seemed muddled.

"That child is from someone who is powerful. A half breed yet a powerful one." Caroline stared blankly, still analyzing the whole situation, and Jungkook just nodded at whatever her mother was bubbling about. "Imagine a powerful vampire and an omega with a divine womb combining into one."

"That means that the child will be someone exceptional eh?" Jungkook tilted his head to the side. "But whose child could that be?"

"Didn't she mention anything to you? I heard that you found her in the forest."

"I did," Jungkook moved his head up and down. "And she was surrounded by a group of vampires that time."

Caroline gasped. "She must be that important to be surrounded by vampires."

Jungkook's eyes flickered, processing about what his mother told him.

"If ever Ha Na and Taehyung's child will be born," Caroline's mouth formed a circle shape in surprise.

"Then I must say that omega's child will be second in terms of power."
