Chapter 49: Chapter 49
CHAPTER FORTY SEVEN
It has been only a few hours and everything fell down so quickly in just a blink of an eye. Taehyung was killed as what Namjoon said but Seokkin didn't believe him. Would Taehyung die that easily? He's a King for nothing.
And Hoseok? Seokjin doesn't even know what happened to him. All he knew about was Namjoon took care of him—he doesn't know what kind of taking care was he talking about?
Jimin isn't inside the palace either. There was a possibility that Jimin escaped ahead of time or maybe did some thing that made him leave the palace. Seokjin couldn't smell their blood inside the palace anymore. None have remain inside the palace or did Namjoon blocked their scents?
Ha Na—don't even start about it. He doesn't even know what happened to her anymore as he just left her in the middle of the forest. Did Namjoon managed to find her?
No. It couldn't be, right? Seokjin made sure that he took off Ha Na's ring so that Namjoon can't easily smell and find her.
"Hyung?" A familiar voice echoed the entire cell making Seokjin jolt up from his position and looked up to see Jun.
"Jun?" It was his right man. The man he trusted the most and the man he has not seen for weeks already ever since the death of the little werewolf.
"Where have you been all this time, Jun?!" The Duke yelped, standing up and gripping the bars of the cell. "I've been looking everywhere for you!"
Instead of Jun answering him, he avoided the question—not that he wanted to avoid it but his mind was full of worries towards the Duke.
He gasped, eyes widened at the state the Duke was in. "What are you doing here? Why are you locked up?!"
"Jun!" Seokjin yelped, trying to gain his right man's attention. But the man doesn't seemed to mind, and didn't hear the Duke.
Jun cracked a smile, remembering the good news he was about to tell Jin the moment he comes back to the palace and go to him. "I'm glad I met you hyung, I wanted to tell you—"
"Jun!" Seokjin screeched, now gaining Jun's attention. His mind wondered to Ha Na and Jimin. He needed to tell Jun about Jimin, to tell him what was happening in the palace, literally the downfall of Taehyung.
The Duke inhaled sharply. "Now is not the time for this. I want you to meet someone."
Jun stopped talking and looked at his sunbaenim.
"Go meet Jimin. He may be outside the palace." Seokjin seriously said, staring right into Jun's eyes.
"What am I going to do with Jimin, hyung?" Jun asked in confusion.
"Tell him I need him." Seokjin pleaded. "I know you have a great sense of smell. I know you can smell him easily."
He grabbed something from the pocket, gripping it before slowly pulling it out, revealing Ha Na's diamond ring that he took off from her during the attempt to escape.
"And also, use this—smell it, and find the owner of the ring." He demanded, giving the ring to Jun.
Jun put the ring near his nose, sniffing it. A familiar scent invaded his nose—as if it has the same scent as the one he smelled in the forest a long time ago but another scent was overflowing the ring that made him stiffened. It was the King's scent.
"Isn't this the King’s scent?"
"Yes, it is." Seokjin nodded his head. "But I know you can smell more than just Taehyung's scent in there. That's why I asked you to look for Ha Na."
Jun nodded, but snapped his head. "Who is Ha Na?"
"The only one who can save Taehyung from his misery." Seokjin answered.
"But hyung, what is wrong in—" The Duke cuts him off.
"The palace is going to be destroyed!" Seokjin took a deep breath. "If Taehyung won't fight against Namjoon, everyone will be destroyed."
He grabbed Jun's hands. "That is why I want you to find her, and bring her to him."
Seokjin knew Taehyung too much. He knew Taehyung's only weakness, and the only one who can defeat Taehyung's weakness was Ha Na.
If only Ha Na will be by his side, he will be strong. He will have the motivation to fight against Namjoon and he will have the determination to choose Ha Na over his weakness. Even though Namjoon said that he killed Taehyung, he didn't believed it. Namjoon may be cruel but he is not heartless.
He gave a final squeeze on Jun's hand, eyes filled with worry. "Please find her."
"But hyung!" Jun interrupted, not caring about anything but to tell Jin everything that he knew and found out during his stay out of the palace. "What I'm about to tell you is impor—"
"Now go Jun!" Seokjin growled, gritting his teeth. "The kingdom depends on them!"
Jun's lips parted to tell Seokjin something more important but just nodded it away before he left the dungeon. But he wondered, what does the Duke means the kingdom depends on them? What does he mean when he said the palace will be destroyed? Most importantly, about Namjoon and the King?
"It's that smell." Jimin muttered as he ran around the area, trying to find the owner of the letter. He went outside the palace as soon as Taehyung told him to find the one who sent the letter.
"He's here." Jimin sped off, following the scent that have the same scent as the letter. The scent became stronger, lingering inside his nasal cavity as it invaded his nostrils until he bumped into someone.
The person Jimin bumped groaned in pain, and looked up. "Jimin?"
"Jun?" Jimin's eyebrows furrowed, staring at Jun whom he knew as the eldest Duke’s right man.
"Jimin!" Jun squeaked and stood up, grabbing Jimin's both shoulders as he remembered what Jin told him to do. "I need to tell you something!"
"What is it?" Jimin asked, raising an eyebrows at the vampire.
Jun pulled away, happy that he immediately found Jimin. "Jin hyung told me that he needs you inside the palace."
"What? Jin hyung needs me?" Jimin asked.
Jun nodded. "That's what he told me and he was locked inside the palace."
"What do you mean locked?" Jimin's jaw dropped and eyes widened in shock. He was flustered when he heard about Jin being locked.
"I don't know, I've been away from the palace affairs for a while. When I came back there, I saw Jin was already locked up." He shook his head. "But Jin hyung said something about the palace being destroyed—"
"Is something wrong inside the palace?" Jimin asked, anxiously as soon as he heard those words. "Why is Jin hyung locked up? Did Taehyung do something?!"
Both of them was truly unaware of what is happening right now. They didn't even know that Namjoon has overtaken and controlled the palace in his palm.
"Wait—" Jimin paused, stiffened at the familiar scent of the vampire standing in front of him. "Why does your scent smells so familiar?"
Jimin's eyebrows knitted as he immediately took out the letter and sniffed it. His eyes widened realizing that the letter and Jun has the same scent before looking at him.
The Duke gasped. "It's you?"
