Chapter 47: Chapter 47

CHAPTER FORTY FIVE

With everything that happened, Hoseok barged inside the room as soon as he told Seokjin to escape with Jimin and Ha Na, and when he barged in, a gasp escaped his mouth—not believing the scene right in front of him. His mouth went agape and eyes widened.

There stand, Kim Namjoon and Kim Taehyung facing each other with guards all over the area, surrounding both of them.

Hoseok shook his head, still denying that Namjoon would betray them. The person that he looked up so much, has spent times together was the one who betrayed them.

Namjoon couldn't have possibly did this to Taehyung, right? He denied in his mind but he knew, he knew too well on what was happening.

After all the friendship and hardships they have gone and encountered together as a team—as one, Namjoon wouldn't have betrayed the ones who was with him since the start no matter how much he despised Taehyung to death, right?

Of course, Hoseok knows about Namjoon's intention but he decided to let it off as it was only his instinct and suspicions towards Namjoon but never in his wildest dream would he expect that Namjoon would really do it.

Ever since Hoseok was aware of how Taehyung turned Namjoon into a vampire he knew right there and then that the duke would never ever thank the one who turned him into a monster. He could've guess that Namjoon would truly hate Taehyung with all his heart. He just then realized that It was no doubt that Namjoon would betray Taehyung. How dumb could he be? Hoseok felt what Namjoon felt towards Taehyung just as what he felt towards the eldest Duke.

"Stop this!" Hoseok screamed at the top of his lungs as the guards looked at each other, confused whether to comply with the Duke's order or not.

"As your elder, I order you to stop!" He-once again snapped at the guard making the guard lower down their silver swords and guns, then slightly bowing to their elder.

"Kim Namjoon!" Hoseok yelled with a stern voice and look. It echoed throughout the entire room making the guards flinched by the anger tone of their elder.

Hoseok inhaled sharply, yelling. "Just what are you doing right now?!"

Jimin was nowhere to be found and Seokjin had no choice but to escape along with Ha Na running to the forest. It was only their escape to confuse the vampires with different smells.

Ha Na was panting very hard and breathing very badly to the point of exhaustion. Seokjin couldn't even support Ha Na anymore as he too, was tired— not because of running with him lifting up the sick Ha Na in his arms for hours but because of having a long tiring combat with several guards along the way.

Seokjin would put Ha Na beside him while he challenged the guards and then picks her up, exiting the place as fast as he could. If he encounters another group of vampires, he would do the same until he gets exhausted, and decided to let Ha Na walk with Seokjin supporting her.

Ha Na was sick, lips are pale, breathing so heavily, and Seokjn never expected this. How did Ha Na get sick when she was fine just yesterday and maybe a while ago?

He put Ha Na down on the rock, leaning beside her. Both of them were too tired to walk but then a sudden familiar scent could be sensed from all the way as Seokjin's eyes widened. The familiarity of the smell could only belong to Namjoon.

"Shit!" Seokjin panicked, eyes flickering. "How did he find us?!"

He glanced at Ha Na who has her eyes closed all the way to the forest. He blinked twice to make sure that Ha Na is really still breathing. However, she wasn't responding to him anymore.

"Ha Na, wake up." Seokjin shakes her but she didn't answer. He tried but failed. The lady never woke up—who was just awake a few minutes ago. She has lost her consciousness, but gladly she was breathing.

Seokjin started to panic and lifted her up in a bridal style again, but both of them eventually ended up falling on the ground. He was exhausted, and the scent was getting stronger in his nose as he took a glimpse at Ha Na. His eyes landed at the shining object on her fingers.

"This must be why Namjoon managed to find us." Seokjin hissed, grabbing her hands, glaring at the diamond ring with a familiar scent inside. "The ring has Taehyung's scent in it!"

The ring really showed that Ha Na only belongs to Taehyung as it has his own scent inside the ring—maybe that way, he would find her easily.

With that, he pulled the diamond ring out of her finger that Taehyung gave her on the day of their engagement. "I'll be having this for a while."

He looked at Ha Na, before firmly saying. "I will have to confuse them."

Seokjin closed his eyes tightly, remembering his own words. He needed to protect her, just like what he promised to Hanisha.

"Ha Na..." He took a deep breath, muttering. "I'm sorry."

He apologized, grabbing some dried leaves with his hands before covering her entire body with it. Once he was done, no trace of Ha Na's body on the ground is visible with all the leaves covering her—though there's a little trace of her smell present. But it was fine as long as Seokjin has her diamond ring with Taehyung's scent, only then will Namjoon be confused. He stood up, dusting himself off and once again looked at the bumped ground where Ha Na laid down sick.

Seokjin bit his lips, feeling his chest pain. "I'll make sure to protect you and repay my debt. I will come back for you. Just wait for me."

And that, he immediately ran towards a different direction to at least divert Namjoon and get him confused with the scent.

With Seokjin leaving Ha Na, another person came with a soft expression, approaching her and putting the leaves away from her body.

"It's you." The person grinned, tears brimming down at the thought of seeing the woman again. "I finally found you."

The person continue to let tears flow, not believing what the witch said a few days ago.

'You will find her.' That's what the exact words the witch announced. And it was true, Ha Na is here—at the same place they last seen each other.
