Chapter 125: Chapter 125
CHAPTER SIXTY SEVEN
"Princess Junsoo would like to speak to Duke Jung." A butler announced outside Hoseok's bedroom causing him to jolt up from his chair, frowning.
What is the princess doing in his room at this moment? Ever since she entered the palace and stayed after Namjoon showed her to them, Hoseok has been trying his best to avoid her. Not a single person knows about his hatred towards the female except Namjoon.
In all honesty, Hoseok despises the Princess for no reason. He doesn't get why as well but Namjoon told him way back then to keep his hatred all by himself and not offend the princess since she's Taehyung's older sister. He eventually obeyed at the end.
As the figure entered the room, immediately approaching him, he was watching how she walked elegantly towards him. His heart quickened not because of it fluttering but because of the burning sensation of hatred inside.
Again, why would he hate this princess?
"What is it that you would like to speak, Princess?" Hoseok asked politely as he stood up, and slightly bowing. His mind was full of thoughts already that he was hoping that Junsoo wouldn't add to his headache.
"I came here to ask about what happened these past months." She gave him a tight lipped smile yet genuine. "I—"
"I will answer your questions, but first—" he paused, interrupting the princess as he looked right into her eyes. "Princess should tell me why Namjoon saved you because he missed that part of the story."
Junsoo looked at him in confusion, raising an eyebrow. "He didn't tell you?"
Crunching his nose and eyebrows, he was even utterly confused as to what Junsoo was referring to. Is there something important should Namjoon inform them?
"It's either he missed that part, or he intended on not telling us about it." He groaned, looking away.
"Namjoon just told us everything including him saving everyone instead of killing them." He sighed, heavily. "He even told us his decision of having yours and Taehyung's death be known to the world before, and his reason."
Junsoo pressed her lips together. "The problem is?"
"The problem is that," He inhaled sharply. "There's one thing that he didn't tell us, and that is...why would he save you?"
Junsoo stiffined, breath hitched, and stared at him before shaking her head in disappointment. She was aware of Hoseok's behavior whenever she’s around but it seemed that he's already showing his intention right at this moment.
"It seems that you're implying something here." She scoffed, trying to find any reaction from him but Hoseok just glanced at her, nonchalantly.
He pulled out a smile then shook his head. "Not at all your highness."
Namjoon should've killed you. He mentally thought. Not save you.
And then the sudden memory flashed in his mind making him smirk.
FLASHBACK
"Get Ha Na and Jimin out of the palace." He demanded. "I will see what happened there."
"What about you?" Seokjin stopped him.
Hoseok stared at Seokjin for a moment. "I will be fine. Namjoon won't hurt me."
With that, Hoseok speeds off with Seokjin watching him going far away. Hoseok’s heart ached in pain—as if it was telling him that something is going to happen.
With everything that happened, Hoseok barged inside the room, and when he barged in, a gasp escaped his mouth—not believing the scene right in front of him. His mouth went agaped and eyes widened.
There stand, Kim Namjoon and Kim Taehyung facing each other with guards all over the area, surrounding both of them.
"Stop this!" Hoseok screamed at the top of his lungs as the guards looked at each other, confused whether to comply with the Duke's order or not.
"As your elder, I order you to stop!" He—once again snapped at the guard making the guard lower down their silver swords and guns, then slightly bowing to their elder.
"Kim Namjoon!" Hoseok yelled with a stern voice and look. It echoed throughout the entire room making the guards flinched by the anger tone of their elder.
Hoseok inhaled sharply, yelling. "Just what are you doing right now?!"
Namjoon furrowed his eyebrows before looking at the guards. "Send Taehyung out, and lock him inside his bedroom."
The guards complied and dragging Taehyung out who seemed to be weak already while Hoseok was just watching.
"Stop right there." Namjoon scorned as Hoseok approached him without any fear.
At this state, why would he fear Namjoon?
"I don't care what you will do," He breathed in, glaring at him. "But save Seokjin Hyung."
"Why? Out of all the people, why would you want Seokjin hyung?"
Hoseok gulped, remembering the letter that he and Taehyung received about Seokjin having a child. The second Duke cocked an eyebrow, confused as to why the other Duke didn't answer him. He shook his head and asked.
"And what do you want to give me?"
Hoseok snapped out of his trance, looking back at Namjoon and with one last gulp, he answered. "I will give you the location of Seokjin hyung and Ha Na right now."
His ability is after all his vision.
"Tick tock," Namjoon chuckled bitterly. "One needs to die then if you want one to be saved."
"Then you can kill Ha Na but not Seokjin hyung." Hoseok didn't even hesitate.
The second Duke smirked. "It's a good thing that you have this kind of ability, Jung Hoseok. Now where are they?"
END OF FLASHBACK
And the reason he didn't talk to Namjoon? He hated himself for telling Namjoon to kill Taehyung's soulmate. He just wanted to save Seokjin and be with his child. But now it's too late for that because Seokjin already died. He didn't even have the chance to meet his entire family— Caroline and Jungkook.
Aside from that, there's something that only Namjoon knows, and Hoseok is petrified. He may have lost his memories, and brought it back, surely, he managed to get a clear memory of what he asked Namjoon that time. He might be beyond frightened and petrified. Not because of death but because of him losing them.
"Are you okay?"
Hoseok blinked twice before mumbling. "I'm sorry, but what did you say?"
"I said—" She groaned. "Namjoon saved me because he never had the intention to kill me anyway."
Hoseok frozed, clearing his throat.
"He only wanted to kill Taehyung but I guess he saved him too." She shrugged her shoulders before sitting down on the nearby chair.
"T-Thank you for answering, Princess." Hoseok stammered and bowed down again. "You can ask any question now."
Junsoo nodded, putting her palms on her lap and anxiety came rushing her veins causing her whole body to tremble in nervousness.
"I came to mate." She blurted out.
The Duke's eyes widened, snapping his head above as his jaw dropped down. "M-Mating?"
Her words caused Hoseok to misunderstand her just by the flustered look he was responding causing her eyes to bulge out of her sockets, cheeks reddened in embarrassment. There's no way that Junsoo would ask Hoseok about mating with him! She wouldn't be that desperate to mate anyone!
"I-It's not like that!" She squeaked, flailing her hands in front of him, and Hoseok sighed in relief. "I m-mean— Gosh why did it have to come out like that?"
"Oh—" Hoseok cooed, clearing his throat, and cheeks flushed as well.
"I m-mean think I f-found my mate."
His expression fell, furrowing his eyebrows and lips parted. "What?"
"But the thing is..." The Princess shifted uncomfortably on her seat before breathing in deeply.
"What is it?"
She looked down, avoiding his intense gaze. "He is a wolf."
Hoseok stiffened. A princess' mate is from other race?
"What?"
He may have despised the Princess without any valid reason but there's something that he knows too well about her.
It's the fact that she hates werewolves without any reason as well.
