CHAPTER FIFTY EIGHT

Elisse and Jimin's attention jerked towards the door, revealing a panic Min Yoongi who just came back from Jungkook's room. However, as soon as Yoongi entered the room, he was in full panic as he walked back and forth, fumbling on the objects, and not minding the other two in the room.

"I'll be back." He said anxiously. His raspy and shaky tone was evident in his voice. "Just stay here."

"Why? What's happening?" Jimin asked his older brother who already stormed out of the room leaving Elisse and him only.

To ease the uncomfortable and silence tension, Jimin laughed awkwardly and rubbing the nape of his neck before facing Elisse. Why was he being awkward suddenly? It's been days, and the two became quite close for days now.

"Why are you laughing?" Elisse raised her eyebrows making the Duke shrugged his shoulders.

Gladly, the Duke has an idea popped in his mind—which happened to be the most uneasy topic ever. "I suddenly remembered something."

"What is?"

Swallowing hardly, Jimin responded nonchantly. "You confessing your love to me back then."

Elisse's eyes widened, lips parted as she squeaked. "What?"

"I can fully hear someone's thoughts, Elisse." Jimin snickered, a tease of tone coming out from his mouth, not knowing how the topic would make a high level of awkwardness. "Pretty sure I heard your confession back then."

The female vampire blushed furiously, remembering how she confessed her love towards him when she confronted Jimin. She stepped back as her heart fastened in nervousness and awkwardness which Jimin noticed it right away.

"Don't be awkward." He smiled, reassuringly. "But Elisse... I want to take this chance to apologi—"

"No need to do it." Elisse interrupted, raising her hands to stop him. "We aren't mates so it was wrong for me to like you. Maybe I was just confused with my feelings that time."

Gritting her teeth behind the pursed lips. "No need to apologise."

Jimin nodded, letting go of the topic as he didn't want to make it even more uncomfortable. "Let's go? I'm pretty sure Ha Na would be delighted to see you alive and well. Let's go to her room again and ask for her since she has been hiding from everyone these days."

Elisse eyes widened as she fathoms that she eventually needed Ha Na to let her know that she's still alive even after what happened. It's been days since she's been in the Wolf Territory yet not once did she saw Ha Na because of the human not wanting to talk to anyone. No one knows why, and whenever Jimin and her would go to her room, asking for her presence, Ha Na would turn the offer down.

She sighed, body slumping and pouted as she stomped out of the room before following behind Jimin. The two walked towards the centre of the territory, noticing how everyone was so worked up to see the corpse lying on the bed.

Jimin's jaw dropped along with Elisse who was bewildered. "What is happening here?"

"The Tiá committed suicide hours ago, and the Alpha's mate was killed as well. So we are mourning." A wolf answered from behind.

"We are in the Beta's room yet no one even informed us?"

The wolf’s eyes widened before fear spreads his entire system just by the thought of the informing the Duke who was supposed to be the guest of the Wolf territory.

"We apologise, Duke Park." The Wolf said, bowing. "We didn't know you were there and didn't bother looking inside the Beta's room since he was away."

Elisse let out a sharp exhale, eyes fixed on the two corpse before cowering down, looking at the ground and followed Jimin who was going toward Jungkook's direction. She gritted her teeth, eyebrows knotting before glancing above to meet someone's wide brown orbs.

With a hang low jaw, Ha Na squeaked in surprise. "Elisse?"

Namjoon and Hoseok heard the message yet the weakest Duke was the most affected one as soon as he heard the news of the Alpha's mate and mother passing away. The second Duke was confused as to why Hoseok was reacting too much.

"You mean the Alpha of the Moon pack lost his mate and mother?" Namjoon asked, baffled, eyebrows furrowed as he observed the other.

Minutes passed, the two went to the wolf territory to express their sorry, and mourn for the dead as well. Hoseok who was flustered by the situation broke down in tears, clenched his fist in anger as his heart twist in fear. He was beyond petrified to see that the woman he fell in love died because of suicide and he didn't expect that to happen.

Why would Caroline kill herself? Is it because Seokjin hyung isn't alive anymore?

Namjoon was trying to calm Hoseok down which grabbed the wolves' attention but shrugged it off since maybe he was just mourning like them. He took a glimpse at the other side to see a familiar figure who has her back and obsidian colour of hair shown.

"Who is she?" He asked the wolf beside who glanced as well.

"That is the Luna," The wolf answered before his eyes landed at the two figure who approached Ha Na. "That is the Duke Jimin and the other one..."

Namjoon's eyes flickered to the other two whom he knows as Jimin yet the other, he couldn't recognise it.

"Kiana..." He heard Jungkook trailing off as Namjoon jerked his head towards the direction.

"Kiana?" The Duke pursed his lips before his eyes fixed on the corpse lying at the centre, surrounded by the wolves with Jungkook kneeling on the other side of the bed instead of his own mother.

His eyes narrowed, turning around as his eyes finally landed at the person who bared his only child and sudden tears prickled on his eyes, stinging as it rolled down before he released a heavy exhale.

"Kiana—" He choked, speeding towards the other side as he bent down, holding her hands, causing Jungkook to stumble away.

The Alpha's eyebrows lined as he eyed the Duke who has his eyes filled with tears while fumbling with her hands. Everyone stopped their mourning as they stared at the Vampire Duke in complete shock, including Hoseok who has no idea why the other was behaving like that as well.

"Kiana baby—" Namjoon choked, panicking as he observed his concubine's whole body. His eyes stopped at her stomach who was already flat. "The baby—"

He chocked on his sobs as his eyes flashed in red, snapping his head at Jungkook who was bewildered before grabbing him by the collar.

"Where is my baby?" The Duke roared, gritting his teeth as two of his teeth worked in revealing itself.

The Alpha crunched his eyes and nose, eyes flickered, and it hit him, gasping. He couldn't be the father of Kia's child right?

Jungkook's heart quickened as his wolf started to take over him with his eyes flashing in anger, canines showing as he mirrored the Duke by grabbing his collars back and the sharp nails was penetrating Namjoon's neck. And before everyone knows it, the two has their neck on line already with them fighting against each other.

No one dared to stop the fight between the Alpha and a Duke, the strongest of the rest as they just looked at the two in disbelief, not knowing the reason why the two were fighting.

"You are the father of the baby?" Jungkook spits, chuckling bitterly and shaking his head in utter disgust. "Unbelievable."

The Duke's power was increasing, jaw tightened as he eyed his prey before pouncing himself at Jungkook who was abrupt to dodge his attack, and never lost this chance to attack the other back, giving him a heavy punch causing Namjoon to dropped.

Namjoon stood up, ready to strike when he noticed something odd on Jungkook. He unconsciously stopped as his eyes landed on his hair that was showing strands of white, and noticing that Jungkook was panting more than an Alpha should when the fight hasn't even lasted for 15 minutes.

What is happening to him? He wondered before Jungkook took a blow at him causing him to fly across and stumbled on the ground as everyone gasped.

As the Alpha was about to lounge on the Duke, he was thrown midway of him flying as another opponent came in the way to protect Namjoon.

Namjoon fluttered his eyes open, flickering towards the stranger who suddenly came in between the fight. The familiarity of the hair and back had Namjoon's attention grabbed, especially the scent she was bringing with her and his eyes widened in realisation, heart dropped to his stomach.

"Elisse?"

Before one could say anything or charge, a voice yelled from behind causing everyone to halt, and took a glimpse to see their Luna or should I say ex Luna—standing there.

"Just stop it!" She yelled once more.

When one says everyone, I mean literally everyone including Hoseok and Namjoon who was astonished by Ha Na's presence. Her bare face was shown in front of everyone already.

"Jungkook, stop it." She sad with a stern on her voice before her attention goes to Elisse. "Thank you for defending the Duke."

Ha Na went to Jungkook, helping him up and comforting the wolf along the way. She helped him stand up before going back to his room. While Elisse, who was defending Namjoon, turned around and bend to his level as she helped him stand as well with their hands joining together.

The Duke never left his hands on hers as he stood up and eyes connected together with adoration—no hatred presence between the two.

"Hi Namjoon." She greeted with the sweetest smile that makes Namjoon's heart flipped.
