CHAPTER FIFTY ONE

Two days later, it took Ha Na and Jungkook to find their way inside the palace, or should I say sneak inside the palace just to find out who was pretending to be her.

As what Jungkook told her, Hanisha was pretending to be Ha Na so that the Alpha can have his mate, and for Hanisha to be the Queen. Gladly, Ha Na didn't take the sin whole heartedly, eventually forgiving Jungkook.

She understood his situation of being immature, knowing how he lived his life as a four years old boy for almost eighteen years, and then abruptly grown into a fine young man in just span of months. She understood his position as an Alpha because only can he claim the position if he finds his mate to claim.

She forgave his mother as well, knowing how desperate Caroline was for her son, and how she must've been manipulated into thinking that Ha Na is her son's mate just like how she manipulated her own son into thinking that Ha Na is his mate.

Everything went crystal clear.

However, what made Ha Na wondered was that how Jungkook must've felt stressed these days knowing his hair has lots of white strands. These past few days, she could see how his hair would turn into white strand on a certain side of the hair despite being it black just a few days ago.

Nevertheless, she decided not to bother it anymore as they walked their way to the hallway that was awfully and suspiciously quiet. Jungkook and Ha Na decided to split up in a way where he told her to find Hanisha because she'll immediately know her because of how similar they are in facial features.

The two ended up agreeing to call each other if one found her, and decided to at least confront her together. Though it all changed when Hanisha just appeared out of nowhere in front of Jungkook as soon as he entered in an empty bedroom, causing him to startle. He was about to call Ha Na but was snatched by just a sway of the witch's hand making him step backward—despite being an alpha.

All vampires and wolves are weak in front of a witch. How much more to the known strongest witch that ever existed? He was taught not to mess with a witch even though his mother told her that witches’ doesn't exist anymore after Karla.

Though it was strange that Ha Na didn't inherit her mother's powers.

"I know why you two are here." She snorted, rolling her eyes as she crossed her arms. "You wanted to know something, right?"

Jungkook was baffled, furrowing his eyebrows yet flustered by her presence.

"You want to know how I came here, and why I pretended to be her?" She burst out a smile, and looked at him intensely. "But I have to ask you something first."

The Alpha's jaw tightened, flinching as she got nearer. "What is it?"

"I heard about your situation with your real mate." She snickered.

"Ha Na noona?"

Hanisha raised her eyebrows, confused as to why Jungkook was still confusing himself with how his mate destiny works. "What do you mean Ha Na? You know well now that she isn't your mate—"

"Of course she is," He scoffed, cutting her off in a rude manner. "Even though I mated with Kiana, Ha Na noona is still my mate by destiny."

The witch's lips curved into a small smirk. "You're being ridiculous."

"I'm ridiculous?" He huffed, stepping forward. "You're being ridiculous pretending to be her."

She laughed. "Even knowing her being the future Queen, how dare you spit from your own mouth in coveting the King's real woman?"

"I'm not coveting any woman." He snapped, his alpha voice was dominating.

"Oh—" She cooed, giggling and not affected. "What would Taehyung do to you if he finds out you stole his woman fully knowing that she is the future Queen?"

If she wasn't affected, so was Jungkook's inner wolf.

"And what would he do to you knowing you pretended to be his soulmate, and coveted the Queen's throne?" He sassed back, growling before mocking. "What? Beaten to plump? Tortured to death? Burned in front of the public, tied up in the middle of the city? Or should I say teared up limb by limb?"

Hanisha was completely taken aback, unable to argue the younger making her blood boil inside her.

"That's not my point here." She snapped glaring at him which Jungkook found intimidating, immediately leading him to whimper like a dog.

"Now to my question." She smirked in complete satisfaction. "I bet you're confused with your feelings between your mate and the one you mistook as your mate."

Not that, Jungkook basically had sex with Kiana already but still denied his feelings even though he literally told her about his feelings. What a confusing man he is.

He just gritted his teeth, looking down and speechless as he decided to listen to her. "My real question here, in hope to help you is that—"

She breaths out. "Who do you think you're truly in love with?"

Jungkook jerked his head to look at her, dumbfounded. "The girl you keep on worrying about or the girl you can't stop thinking about?"

The Alpha's eyebrows lined, reluctant at the words he wanted to say. "Ha Na is my mate! O-Of course I'm in love with her."

"Too bad she isn't." She pursed her lips, voice softened up. "She isn't your mate Jungkook."

"What?"

"She is Taehyung's real soulmate." She confirmed as Jungkook violently shakes his head in disapproval. He may have accidentally mated with Kiana, but he knew that Ha Na is his mate—despite knowing their scent's differences. He was surely denying everything, and he doesn't have any idea why.

Hanisha let out a sigh. "Just why do you keep forcing yourself that Ha Na is your mate even though you know by scent and her birthday that she isn't?"

"I'm sure that Ha Na knows that she isn't your mate. I know you already told her that she isn't your mate but Kiana." She continued making Jungkook's eyes widened. "Now tell me Jungkook, who do you think you're in love to?"

"But—" Jungkook choked. "Mother said that I had to die in my mate's arms, and Ha Na noona was there!"

She shakes her head. "Kiana was there who had you in her arms, Jungkook. You died in her arms."

"What are you talking about?" He screeched.

"When you were in Ha Na's arms, you were just unconscious yet you opened your eyes a few hours later when you smelled the scent of your mate which happened to be Kiana's." She bit her lips. "She knew you were alive and she saved you, but when she went out to get some fire woods, you died without her knowing. Gladly, I was there to heal you in no time and it was quite easy for me since you were already touched by your real mate."

Jungkook's lips quiver in disbelief, still refusing that Kiana is his mate—although deep inside him, he wanted and needed Kiana.

"Just what are you talking about?" he screamed, ruffling his hair in frustration as his body started to tremble in anxiety. All along, Kiana is his true mate?

Hanisha formed a pity smile. "Do you know what happened back then? How everything became a mess?"

Jungkook looked at her with her eyes glistening in pure regret.

"If I shouldn't have done what I did a thousand years ago, nothing would've happened like this. You wouldn't have been like this—and I... could have lived a better life." She said in a low tone, and her voice cracked. "I was blinded by revenge."

Because of it, everything became a mess. Because of what she did, not only did she mess with someone's life but also her own life. She was scared, and so is the scarred man that was watching the scene all along.

Both of them just let it out by the fate and destiny, and all they could do for now was tell nor guide everyone to the right path even if it means for them to disappear just to start over again

Honestly, they can't do anything about it but hope. Yet, if this ever won't work out, she was hoping that in the next timeline, she would believe in that certain man and herself. She wanted to repay everything by her own self's disappearance but what she was afraid the most was that the after-result of what she did for going against destiny. She felt that she wasn't going to be alone in repaying the things that she did. Somehow, it felt like there’s someone who’s going to be affected by her own sins as well, and that's what feared her.

If she just kept quiet a thousand years ago and did not do anything, nothing like this would've happened.
