Chapter 35: Chapter 35
I am very worried about my situation right now. The bruise that I have is getting bigger and painful. I don't know what's happening, it's like every time I engaged myself with Henry, it is only getting worst.
"Let's go to the doctor," Cristel worriedly said when I showed her the bruise.
"No, I think it will not stop growing unless I come back to my time." I am very frustrated right now.
The only way that I think that will make me go back to my time is to make Henry loves Sonia. But that is very impossible in our situation right now.
"You can only convince Henry to love Sonia or to even marry is to tell him the truth. If he knows the truth, he will choose to save you and let you go rather than keep you and your life is in danger. He will understand," she said then tapped my shoulder.
"I don't know how to tell him this. He will not believe; he will think that I am pushing him away again. And even if he believes, I'm sure he will get hurt." A tear fell into my eyes.
"True love can truly hurt you, and you are loving each other at the wrong time. You are destined to meet each other but not to be with each other." She hugged me.
"Then, why God let this happened? Is He punishing me and Henry?" I asked her.
"I don't know, I never truly understand Him and His plans. But I am sure that He made you meet each other on a purpose," she said.
Good thing that Alfredo was not in the house, I can freely express myself now. I am really glad that I let Cristel know the truth about me, at least, I have somebody to talk to when I am frustrated with my condition.
"Thank you for listening to me. I will be crazy by now if I didn't let my emotions out. You are the best grandma and a best friend." I smiled at her.
She chuckled. "I feel I am old when you are calling grandma. Tell me more about my future."
I shook my head. "Na-ah! I won't spoil your life, it might change. It is enough that you knew how mysterious the life and time, they made me flew here and met you."
"I can't wait to see a baby version of you. I can't wait to raise this baby and have more children with Alfredo, I bet he will be a great father," she said.
I suddenly became sad because I knew that she will only have one child and she will die very early. She will be very sad if I tell her that. I miss her already. I wiped my tears before she can notice it.
"Let's eat!!!" A loud voice filled the room.
Cristel happily welcomed Alfredo who just got into the house. He was carrying large plastic bags that I supposed containing the food he bought in the market.
"Did you bought the food I want?" Cristel asked Alfredo.
Alfredo smirked. "Of course, for my lovely wife and baby," he said.
Cristel playfully slapped him. "Why are you calling me your wife? We are not yet married, you are never asking me to marry you, though. What is your plan, huh?" She pouted.
"I will marry you, okay. Don't overthink too much. I will marry you when things are already fixed. I can't marry this time," he said then kissed his cheek.
So, this is how my grandpa and grandma love each other. Grandpa is the playful one while grandma is the boss. I laughed when they started to tease each other.
We are our lunch and after that, I helped them with chores. While Alfredo is on the river just at the back of their house washing their dirty clothes, Cristel and I are washing the dishes.
"On what year are you from, Aliyah?" Cristel suddenly asked.
"In the year 2020, why are you asking?" I looked at her.
She sighed then smile. "I just thought I will be so old that time, how's my old woman looked like?"
Her question made me stopped for a moment because I don't know how to answer it. I didn't even remember her face before she died.
"Y-You looked very pretty still. Nothing had changed that much but the skin, it is wrinkled," I calmly said but the truth is I am very nervous right now.
"Really? I am still this pretty? I couldn't imagine it. I'm sure your grandpa will be so ugly and grumpy."
We both laughed, that's so true. After grandma died, he always angry with things that made him look like an antagonist in one story. I bet he just really missed grandma.
"I may not be by your side when you reach that age of yours, so, why not we enjoy this moment? If happened that I am still alive when you come back, things will never be the same again, I am old and I can't many things as much as I can do now. I want to spend more time with you," she said after we finished cleaning the dishes.
"Sure, grandma. What do you want to do? Henry will fetch me by dinner, we still have time." I smiled.
"I want to go outside and buy some baby clothes," she said.
My eyes twinkled. "That's a wonderful idea, let's go!"
"Wait! We still have to wait for Alfredo to finish. He doesn't want me to go to the market without him. He said that it is too dangerous because the killer may still look for me." She sighed.
"Okay, I understand. We'll wait for him. I will just help him to finish washing the clothes faster," I said then go to the river.
Alfredo looked confused at first on why the hell I am helping him, but when he saw how Cristel smiling at him, he already knew that we need something. He never refused but we heard a lot of words from him, we just laughed at him that annoyed him more.
When we reached the market, there are still few people around, Cristel wore her white veil and hide her bump. Alfredo held her waist and I followed them.
Since I knew that he is carrying a baby boy, I chose a lot of baby blue baby clothes. They are very cute, now I can finally say that I played a crucial role in my father's childhood. I was the one who picked her baby clothes.
"Isn't that too much?" Alfredo asked when he saw how many clothes we bought.
"It is for our baby, nothing is too much," Cristel answered.
"And why these are all blue? How sure are you that our baby is a boy? What if it is a girl?" Alfredo asked again.
"It is a boy! Don't argue with me anymore!" Cristel turned her back.
I just laughed at them. Exactly six in the evening, Henry came with lots of food. We are first on Cristel's home before we left.
I held my chest when I felt it hurts. I got troubled in breathing now...
"Are you alright?" Henry noticed my difficulty in breathing.
He held my hand, I nodded but it hurts so bad.
"Aliyah, what's wrong?" His tone was very worried.
I breathe heavily and when finally, the pain subsided, I looked at him. "I am alright." I smiled. "I miss you," I said.
He kissed the back of my hand. "I missed you too."
"How are your parents? Is everything alright there?" I asked.
He sighed and glanced at me. "They are planning to attack the town and kill Sonia's father," he said that made me shocked.
