Chapter 33: Chapter 33

"Aliyah, why are you wearing my shirt?"

I just finished taking a bath before I go to sleep then I realized, I have nothing to wear. Then, I saw a bag with Henry's things in it.

"I don't have any clothes to wear. Sorry, I didn't ask for your permission. If you don't want, I can just take it off," I said.

He shook his head then cleared his throat. "It's alright, I forgot to buy you a dress. Let's go to your bed."

We walked first then I followed him. His shirt is big to me, so it looks like a mini dress on me, showing my legs. I forgot that it is not normal for a lady like me to show too much skin to a man. It's okay as long it was Henry.

The house was small and looked very old. And I think this is on the isolated area of the town, far away from the central.

He opened the door, a little bedroom with a sofa showed up.

"This is where you are sleeping," he said.

I sat on the bed, showing more skin on my legs. I saw him looking away from me. "Where are you going to sleep?"

He went to a tiny sofa and then laid there. He didn't even answer my question.

"Henry, you are not comfortable there. Let's sleep on the bed together," I said then covered my legs by the blanket. I think I am making him uncomfortable.

"I am okay here. Sleep now, Aliyah. It's already past midnight," he said while his eyes are closed.

"Please, your shoulder might hurt if you don't listen to me." I pouted my lips.

He sighed. "We are not even in a relationship yet. I don't want to do things that only married couples do."

What the heck, Henry?!

"What are you talking about? We are just going to sleep. Nothing else. I trust you," I said.

He finally opened his eyes, he stood up. He walked towards the bed. I moved to give him space.

"I'm not going to touch you, Aliyah." He laid on the bed.

"I might..." I grinned then lay beside him. He was facing the other side of the bed.

"Can you face me? Why are you like that?" I touched his back.

"Aliyah, sleep now. I am tired, don't play with me, or else I am going to sleep on the couch," he said.

"Fine," I said then turned my back at him.

He is too conservative, what is his problem? He's annoying. I just want to hug him, and I want him to kiss me goodnight.

I closed my eyes and fell asleep immediately. I woke up when I feel something warm on my neck. I tried to move but a strong arm was on my waist.

I smiled. Look at this man, he said he won't touch me but now he's hugging me like there's no tomorrow. I fell asleep again because of his warmth.

I woke up again but this time, it is already bright outside. We are still in the same position. Henry still hugging me, I turned around to face him. He still in deep sleep. I kissed him on the lips that made him woke up. Why is he so easy to wake up? I want to kiss him more.

"You like hugging me, aren't you?" I teased him.

He groaned. "Sorry, I am unaware of what I did. I was very comfortable that for the first I had a real sleep."

I pulled him closer to me. I like hugging him too. We stayed like that for a while with little kisses and touches. I love this morning...

We decide to buy myself some clothes for this day, but the problem is, I can't go out wearing Henry's shirt only and my undergarments.

"Don't worry, I called some help." He smiled at me.

A little while, we heard a knock on the door.

"Open it for me, honey," Henry said.

I opened the door and I jumped in excitement when I saw who our visitors are.

"Alfredo! Cristel!" I hugged them.

"Aliyah, we missed you!" Cristel hugged me back.

"Let's go inside first. Someone might see us," Alfredo said.

We walked inside the house. I held Cristel's hand to guide her inside. I saw how Henry and Alfredo greeted each other. They are really good friends to each other.

I made Cristel on the couch. She already has a baby bump. I smiled at her; she looks blooming right now.

She sighed. "I'm sorry, Aliyah."

I creased my forehead. "Why are you saying sorry to me? I should be the one who is asking for forgiveness."

She shook his head. "I shouldn't blame on what happened. I shouldn't leave you alone. I'm so sorry, Aliyah. I have never been a good friend. I am the one who should understand you more because I know your real condition. I will never leave you now, I'm sorry." She hugged me.

"I'm so sorry too. I didn't think carefully. If I just listened to your warnings, you parents might still be alive by now. I can understand why you get mad at me. I never blamed you for that. I kept on praying, wishing to see you again and ask for forgiveness," I said then hugged her back.

"I am now okay, Aliyah. I forgave you already. I cannot forget those who truly killed them. I want to get revenge, but I don't know how," she said.

"Don't, revenge doesn't do anything well. Don't harm yourself and your baby. Take care of yourself, please." I touched her baby bump.

"I do. Don't worry, I will not get my revenge now. My baby is still my priority. Alfredo always reminding me that I should think more about the welfare of the baby," she said.

"The baby is the priority now, I'm going to tell you something very interesting," I said then caressed her tummy.

"What is it? She smiled.

"It's a secret, okay?"

She nodded.

I cleared my throat. "Do you know how I feel that I already met my grandmother that I never had a chance to meet in my time? Grandpa said she is a very beautiful and brilliant lady." I looked at her.

She creased her forehead. "I don't understand, Aliyah. How did you meet her?"

"She is carrying my father in her womb right now," I said then a tear came out from my eye.

"Are you saying that..." Her tears fall again.

"You are my grandmother and Alfredo is my grandfather," I whispered to her.

"Aliyah," she said then hugged me again.

"I didn't expect this to happen. You are my grandmother." I wiped my tears.

We both laughed in happiness. I never thought I was going to meet my roots here at this time.

"Wait..." She looked at my whole body. "Why are you wearing a very short dress?" She creased her forehead.

"I borrowed it from Henry, I have nothing to wear. We planned to buy clothes, but I can't go outside wearing this," I answered.

"Oh, that's why Henry called us and told me to bring some of my clothes." She gave me a bag full of her clothes.

"Thank you for this," I said.

She smiled. "Like your grandma, I oblige you to wear something decent and don't show too much skin. Do you understand me, Aliyah? Wait... Did you wear that in your sleep? With Henry by your side?"

I nodded and smiled shyly.

"Aliyah!!"

"What? Nothing happened between us..." I laughed.

"Just make sure, don't be like me. Look, I got pregnant before I can get a proposal to your grandpa." She pouted.

"Yes, grandma. Noted!"

I'm just a little sad that she died too early, and I didn't have a chance to recognize her.
