Chapter 19: Chapter 19

Jonea Fallon

"Under the leadership of Luke Draken, the land of Blue Sapphire is now a free and open land. Various races other than werewolves can come, stay, and even live there with special permission. They must also pay a hefty amount to get a residence permit in Blue Sapphire."

I just finished reading the last part of the note Eve left me. Soon the plane will also land at the Blue Sapphire airport.

I closed the notebook and put it back in my backpack.

"However, Luke Draken still refuses for the lycans to enter and stay in his territory no matter what. Until now, the Lycans remain the main enemies of the werewolves in the land of Blue Sapphires. That condition has only strengthened under Luke Draken."

Keep remembering that part of the note.

"Fuck Eve. She gave me a fake identity as a werewolf to get into the Blue Sapphire. I use the name Jonea Rawling, but as a hybrid girl, not as a Lycan, let alone a human."

I clutched the vial of medicine I found with Eve's notebook tightly. According to Eve in her notebook, this drug serves to disguise my body odor and Lycan blood. I have to constantly take this drug while in Blue Sapphire.

"Really very troublesome."

The plane has just landed at the international airport of the Blue Sapphire country. Nervous and wary, I clutched my two suitcases and went through the airport screening.

From a distance, the officer kept watching me. I wonder if they will notice my lie.

Beep. Beep. Beep.

My steps stopped.

God, what is this? Are they going to catch me?

The metal detector beeped as I crossed the barrier. Everyone was watching me with suspicious looks.

An officer immediately confronted me and told me to pull over.

Damn! They would know that my identity was fake and that I was a lycan.

They will surely kill me on the spot this instant!

I can only close my eyes and do not know what to do. I can't escape anywhere, either. I'm really stuck there.

Sorry, miss. Can you show me your ID?"

"Why?" I asked nervously. "Is there something wrong?"

"Nothing, Miss. We just want to double-check. Because our scanner detected something hidden under your clothes? Or is there something metal inside you?"

"Metal?"

I was really confused and scared. What metal is he referring to? Is that a black bone dagger tucked into my right thigh? But the dagger was made of bone, not metal.

"Excuse me, can you show me your identity?" repeated the officer.

I quickly took out my ID card from my backpack. I handed over all the travel documents I had to the officer.

He really checked it. Several times I noticed him glancing at me to confirm the photo on my ID.

"You have any health records here?"

"WHAT? Health records?"

I asked back because I needed clarification on what the officer meant. Right now, I'm panicking and don't know what to do.

"Have you had surgery before, Miss? This note says there is a post-fractured metal plate on your femur."

The clerk showed me a medical record he had found among my travel documents. I wasn't even aware I had those health records.

I took a quick glance, and there it was, stating that I had had thigh joint surgery. Without thinking twice, I agreed.

"Okay, no problem. All your identity and travel papers are complete. Everything is official too. You can continue your journey. Sorry for the inconvenience, Miss Rawling."

Just like that? I can't believe they got away with me.

But the metal plate on the thigh? It really makes me wonder. How could Eve make fake documents regarding the plates that were inside me?

A second later, I realized what the officer meant.

Dragon tear necklace!

Eve gave me a special note and instructions to keep the necklace of dragon tears along with the black bone dagger on my right thigh.

"Did airport security detect dragon tears as dangerous?"

When I realized the danger might still be lurking, I rushed out of the airport. I stopped the first taxi that passed in front of me.

"Sir, can you take me to this address?"

The taxi driver just nodded. I was trying to calm down after the metal plate incident at the airport.

I didn't think it would be this terrible. Why didn't Eve tell me that the dragon's tears might get me in trouble?

Thirty minutes away by taxi. During the trip, I was really amazed to see the new face of Blue Sapphire. The condition of this country is very different from two years ago when I was still living here.

After the fire and damage caused by Luke Draken's attack, he completely rebuilt the land of Blue Sapphire with a different look.

Blue Sapphire is a land of glamor, prosperity, and hedon, though I don't know how the people live there. But, the magnificent buildings that became landmarks in the capital's center are enough to show how great Luke's power was in building this country in just two years.

The taxi driver dropped me in front of a big house on the outskirts of town. It is truly a European architectural style house that sits among the ranks of modern minimalist buildings.

The distance between one building and another is quite far. The neighborhood in this housing is so quiet that there is almost no activity. Although the street lights are bright everywhere.

I stared at the building in front of me in horror.

"Is this really the house owned by Daran? Why does this building's mystical aura feel so strong and terrifying?"

I pressed the doorbell. At that moment, the gate opened even though no one was standing there. I thought it was indeed an automatic gate.

I dragged my two large suitcases. With difficulty, I walked into the courtyard. The yard is so wide, with lots of trees and plants that are neatly arranged. There is a fish pond and birdbath in the middle.

"I can't believe I'm breathing Sapphire Blue right now."

I continued walking while dragging my two suitcases.

"Where is the main door? Why is there no one at all?"

I stood at the front of the fish pond. I stopped in the middle of the page. I feel someone is watching me.

I noticed a very large two-story building with many glass windows. I saw the curtains slightly swinging on one of the windows on the second floor.

Good grief! I shrieked softly. I saw someone standing there watching me intently. Even though I couldn't see his face clearly. He wears black clothes.

"Who is he? Is he the nephew of Daran? Or the maid in this house? But why is he only watching me from his room? He didn't even come down to greet me."

I don't like being stared at and noticed. I averted my eyes and refocused on dragging my bags to the front door.

I only took two steps.

"Aarrrhh!" I screamed like a fool.

Suddenly someone stood in front of me dressed all in black.

I am still determining where he came from. Suddenly he was standing there with his face covered with a hoodie. I threw both my suitcases and threw a fist at the figure.

He dodged my attack! No! He moved places very quickly. I froze!

"Wh-who are you?"

I turned to the second floor. The figure that previously stood on the second floor was now elsewhere. Are they the same person? How could that be? Moving this fast?

I took a step back. It's dangerous! I can't live in this strange place with strange people. I have to go.

I literally ran while dragging my two suitcases.

When I was about to reach the gate, the man was already standing before me and blocking my steps.

I fell head over heels. This time I crawled backward on the surface of the gravel-covered ground.

"Wh-who are you? Why do you keep following me?"
