Chapter 105: Chapter 105

Cecilia held his breath when Duke Lancia crossed his arms to his guests in the drawing room. "Can you repeat what you said, Your Highness?"

Maxwell smiled widely, ignoring Armano's sharp gaze to him, "I want to propose your daughter, Sir!"

Arthur, The Atrazal's Emperor, shocked his head. "If you want to kill him, that's okay, Duke. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone."

"I hope you are joking, Your Imperial Majesty."

"My dear Cecilia, this young man need to learn how to be a discipline man! How come he kidnapped me when I'm still discussing a serious matter with the prime minister!" The emperor let out a heavy sigh after complaining.

"Oh, you are overreacting, Your Majesty! You were walking on the hallway when I met you!" Max said with knitted brow.

"I'm on my way back from the bathroom, Maxwell Glacias Alexander!"

Max shrugged his shoulder, "Don't worry. I already asked Nolan to take over everything."

"Ahem! Your Highness, please don't make any ruckus in my house." Armano said in a cold voice. "I refused your proposal."

"Father!"

"Duke!"

The young couple shouted at the same time, while Arthur was the only one who agreed with Armano's decision.

"Serves you right."

Max traded a glance with Cecilia before he asked, "Why?"

"I just want to refuse it. Try again tomorrow."

"Father, why did you do this?" Cecilia stared at him with sparkling eyes.

"He interrupted our dinner, Cecilia. A man who didn't have manner need to get punished!"

"Father, as long as remember, we already finished the last dessert."

"Well, he did interrupt me when I want to drink your rice wine." Armano said in a disappointment.

Arthur's curiosity piqued when heard it, "Rice wine? What is this?"

"Just like it's name. Wine made from rice. You know, the white grain from Hongport. Oh, you should try it. My daughter was the one who made it." Armano said, while he raised his hand as a signal to the maid. "Tell Albert to bring the wine's bottle here."

The maid nodded before she left that room.

"Interesting! I don't know that you can make some wine, Cecilia."

Armano nodded, "It's tasted like no other, Your Highness."

"I want to taste it, too. Since all the food or any beverage she made is wonderful!" Max said eagerly.

He knew when Cecilia fermented it, and he hasn't tasted it yet because so many things happened at that time.

Albert, The Butler, came with one dark bottle of that wine. He pouring it to the three glasses and gently served to those men.

Arthur smelled the white, thick liquid before slowly drink it, "Wow, this is good. I never know such a combination like this. Sweet but sour with a hint of tangy taste. I can't believe it was made from a mere grain!"

"I'm glad you like it, Your Majesty." Cecilia smile happily. "This wine will be Lancia's new item to sell. Please, looking forward to it, Your Majesty."

Arthur look at his empty glass with sad smile, "My, my. You have a perfect daughter, Duke. Smart, beautiful, know how to start bussiness, and well-manered. Too bad, she was destined to a wrong man."

"You were perfectly describing my feeling, Your Majesty." Armano nodded as his sign of agreement.

Cecilia frowned. Irritated when they talked something bad about her fiancé, "Why? Maxwell is a good man. I was glad to destined with him."

"This is bad, Duke. She is already under his spell. No matter what we said, she will refused to listen it." Arthur said in a grim face.

Max rolled his eyes when noticed that that old man's expression was gloomy, as if he was attending a funeral.

Armano let out a heavy sigh, "Well, seem like I don't have any choice except to accept it."

"Father! Thank you!" She jumped in happiness and threw a gaze to Max who smile happily.

Arthur put his glass to the table, "Cecilia is still fifteen, Duke. The minimum age for getting marry is sixteen. No exception. Even if she will become my daughter-in-law."

The Duke closed his eyes to think. "Then, the wedding will be held in the same day with her birthday. 7 January in the next year."

Cecilia claps her hand once before hugging her father, "Thank you, Father! You are the best!"

"Five months to go. Not bad, we still have a time for preparation." Arthur crossed his arm and starting to think which one he needed to do first. Is it the venue? Dress? Jewelry? Foods?

"Preparation? Does that mean I can't go to the Icicle before the wedding?" Cecilia feel confused.

"Of course, no. You can't trouble yourself and just focussing on the wedding. After that, you were freely to go." Arthur said in his firm voice.

"Oh, I see."

Armano asked when he noticed her face, "Why did you look so down?"

"Well, I thought I can take a look at their condition, first. From the book which I read, the citizen of that Island was suffering for a long time. Then, I thought that perhaps I can make some plan after my visit to the place. So, by the time, I came back again, we can directly apply our plan. I mean, the faster, the better."

Arthur blinked twice. Never thought that she was really care with Icicle's problem. "Then, how about the wedding? I mean, what kind of party did you want."

"I prefer the simplest one."

Armano and Max didn't surprise with this. But, Arthur shocked with her answer.

"Wait! Didn't you want to wear a luxury dress with some expensive jewels? Throwing party in cool ballroom?

"Well, its sound troublesome to me. The more luxury dress can get, it will have got heavier and I didn't like that. I prefer the comfortability and simplicity. What do you think about it, Father? Max?"

Today, for the first time, both of them agree for one thing.

"Well, that sound like you, Chili."

"Let's the wedding according your wishes, Cecilia."

"Thank you, Father, Max! I'm glad!"

"My, my. My head is spinning around just when heard about this. Then, I have no choice." Arthur rolled his eyes, and he has a strong urge to drink some red wine. "Really, Cecilia. You were too good for that rascal. I bet the dragon was made a mistake."
