Chapter 103: Chapter 103

"Beer." Garcia said to the bartender in the crowded bar. She looks so angry when an unknown man tried to talk with her.

"Go away! Or I'll kill you!" She yelled to shooed them away. Her face painted with wrath and everyone became scarred of her.

That's why the chair beside her was empty.

The bartender put a big glass full of beer to her. "For the angel of the death."

"What?!" Her brows raised to him.

"That's what they said." He pointed to the crowd over her shoulder.

Garcia's look at them before drink her beer in big one gulp. If they want to fight, she was more than ready to do it. "Another!"

The bartender nodded before refill her glass.

"Heyaaa!" Said someone behind her shoulder.

"SO, YOU CHOOSE DIE--, Ah! You…" Garcia snapped, but when she saw the interlocutor, her anger subsided. "Why did you here, Gil?"

Gillian Bridgerton smiling happily, "Just hanging around. And you?"

That man, Hugo, and herself came from the same orphanage. But, because Gill get adopted first, he never knew about the Guild or even Max.

Garcia was envied because of this. If only she got adopted, she doesn't have to feel this sickening hurt of brokenhearted. Perhaps, she will be a mother of two children from happy small family.

Perhaps, she will run a bed and breakfast in this town.

Perhaps, she will be happy.

But, that's too late. Her love was deepened and became such an unhealthy obsession.

"Gil, if your first love was dating with anyone else, what will you do?" She asked when her beer was arrived.

"Hmm, I never thought that you will have this kind of problem." He took her glass and shift his gaze to the bartender, "Please give her any nonalcoholic beverage. She can embarrassed herself if she got drunk."

"Hey!" She protested when the bartender nodded and went away to prepare her drink.

"Don't worry! It's my treat. Perhaps, this will be my last chance to spent time in this bar."

Gracia rolled her eyes. "I'm sorry. I don't understand why did you sound like bragging."

"Hahaha. Really? Well, I have no intention to do that."

She clicked her tongue when saw her cider. But, she drinks it anyway.

"Then, what did you feel about it? I mean, getting to marry."

"It's undescribable feeling. Soaring, tumbling, freewheeling. In short, it just a whole new world for me."

She let out a heavy sigh. "I'm sorry again. I don't understand because you seem singing some unknown lyric song. But, congratulation."

"Thanks. I will try to answer your first question. Hmm, because of you, I'm starting to have a fresh idea for my newest book."

"Great, if that indirectly boost your career." She said sarcastically.

"Letting go our loved one is a lifetime favorite theme for literature. In fact, it's the hardest part to do."

Gracia raised her hand to ask the bartender to refill her glass, "I thought you asked me to keep trying for seducing him."

"You seem tired."

"And hopeless. Honestly, I was angry when knew the news. But, when I saw his woman... Well, I don't know if I must cry or... just die."

Gillian laughed again. It's so rare to see an energetic woman like her became so down of this. "Why? Is the woman was that great?"

"Can you keep a secret? She is a daughter from Lancia's family." Gracia whispered to him because she knew that Gillian didn't even care about the noble.

But, unexpectedly, Gillian whistled and laughed, "Wait! Don't tell me that your first love is a scary man who wear a black crow mask?"

"What! How did you know?" Her jaw dropped and failed to hide her surprised.

"Well, Cecilia is, hmm, my friend. I guess."

"I guess?"

Gillian scratched his head and wondered how to explain this without spilling their life before the reincarnation, "Her maid is a big fan of me, and she asked me to sign the book for her. After that, we became an acquaintance."

Her jaw dropped again, "A noblewoman asked your sign for her maid? What is this kind of nonsense? A noblewoman supposed to be spoiled, arrogant and selfish!"

"Well, she isn't like that. Oh, did you know the three-story school on the back of the street? What do you think about it?"

"The one for the commoner! I heard it from Brother Hugo that a secret noblewoman was the one who planned this. She is an angel! I mean, what kind of noble who cares about someone like us! If she is a man, I could die for him!"

"It's Cecilia, too. I heard even the Duke didn't know about this. Well, thanks to her, I can be marrying my love!

You know, Jeanna always want to be teacher, and she made a vow that she will marry me after she became one. Long story short, here we are. I invited her to my wedding party, though. So, perhaps you will meet her again."

Gracia felt that her head is spinning around. But, she was sure that's not because of her cider. "What the heck, Gill. You were supposed to cheer me up! Do you think I'm dumb? I have no chance with him from the beginning.

But, he is so kind, and I can't help but fall deeper for him. When I noticed that Lancia's woman, I was envied with her. She has everything I don't and after heard your story, I can't do anything except rooting for them!"

Gillian raised his glass to her, "Then, cry as hard as you can, Grace. Well, I can't tell you the whole story of her. However, you were right. She is out of her league. And, I heard, they were got the dragon's bless, too."

"Damn you." She gulped her cider again. "I want to angry. But, I can't."

"But, I was proud of you. You still have senses to back off from their relationship."

Gracia drink her glass and have nothing to say.

"That's love. You can regret it or cry over it. But, well, that's love. The most mysterious thing in this world. Same with the ghost. They said that they knew well about it, but no one really saw it."

"Damn you, Gil. Damn to all the writers in this world who write love stories!"

Gracia jumped from her chair and left him all alone with his beer. Gillian smiled, while deep in his heart, he really wishes her to have a happy life. With or without her lovely man.

"Eh? Finished already?" The bartender asked when Gillian want to pay the bills.

"Yeah, suddenly, I've got an unstopable urge to meet my wife."

The bartender laughed, "Good for you."

Gillian smiled without saying anything. But, he can't argue with that word. After all, for now, he is the happiest man in this world!
