Chapter 98: Chapter 98
The girl hurriedly opened the door, not having time to pay attention to Elias Sinclair, and directly dashed to the bathroom to brush her teeth and quickly washed her face. She didn’t bother with unnecessary things, clutching her clothes as she changed in the bathroom.
Elias Sinclair impatiently rubbed his fingers. This woman slept like a pig. Did he really need to get a personal assistant to wake her up every day?
"Okay, okay, sorry, I slept too deeply and didn’t hear the alarm."
Quinn Lockwood casually slipped into an avocado-colored dress, with her face bare of any makeup, and her hair loosely tied up. Though a bit languid, she still exuded a relaxed and youthful energy.
"Mm." His tone was still as indifferent as usual, as if the minor discord between the two of them mere hours ago had never occurred.
The man wore a well-tailored high-end dark blue suit, paired with a pristine custom-made white shirt, accentuating his cold, aloof air.
Standing together, one was lively, cheerful, kind, and generous, while the other was cool, decisive, and proud.
They complemented each other perfectly in personality. With his handsomeness and her beauty, anyone unaware of the situation seeing the two walking side by side would think they were a perfect match and couldn’t help but keep staring.
"Let’s go then." Knowing Elias Sinclair was growing impatient, Quinn Lockwood immediately headed for the door. Seeing him unmoving, she thought he didn’t want to leave with her. She glanced back at him before continuing forward.
"I need to go to the office to handle some matters. While I’m away, Kevin will be fully in charge." Elias Sinclair’s voice came from behind, and as Quinn Lockwood was about to turn and give an "okay" gesture, she saw he was just a few steps away behind her.
Upon reaching downstairs, there was indeed Kevin in view.
"President Sinclair, Miss Lowell," Kevin respectfully greeted.
Elias Sinclair nodded in response and then asked, "Is everything set up at the venue?"
"Everything’s ready."
Elias Sinclair nodded once more, glanced at his watch, and then departed.
Quinn Lockwood went to the photography studio with Kevin.
As usual, everyone warmly greeted Kevin, but when they looked toward Quinn, their expressions turned disdainful. Follow current novᴇls on novel⦿fire.net
"Oh, you’re here?" Ethan was lounging on a single-seater sofa, fussing with the camera in his hands. When he saw Quinn Lockwood arrive, he tilted his head slightly to appraise her.
"Wow, not bad, simple and casual. Even barefaced, she looks clean and attractive." Ethan’s eyes lit up as he sincerely complimented.
Quinn Lockwood gave him a perfunctory smile, then turned to greet Wendy, the makeup artist. This was seen by an employee adjusting the photographer’s equipment, who assumed Quinn was trying to flatter Wendy to get made up nicer.
"Sit, I’ll give you basic skincare and tidy up your hair a bit." Wendy, seeing Quinn not being arrogant despite Ethan’s compliments, had a slightly changed opinion of her.
"Okay, thank you," Quinn replied politely and then sat in the chair.
Kevin arranged for a staff member to hand out breakfast. Quinn, worried about getting sleepy during the shoot, inquired about coffee, much to her surprise, receiving a sarcastic reply from the other person.
"Sorry, Miss Lowell, this is all we have. Would you like me to go buy it for you now?"
Quinn, no fool, sighed helplessly and waved it off, signaling she didn’t need it. The disgruntled employee put down the breakfast and left.
These people were really exasperating. They didn’t know the truth of the matter, relying on prejudice and partial understanding to treat someone poorly.
Not in the mood to eat, Quinn took a few sips of porridge before letting the stylist handle her hair.
"Look at her, she really acts like a big shot. Earlier, she almost had me go buy her coffee," the staff member grumbled to Ivy, a colleague.
"Yeah, did you see her attitude, barely acknowledging Mr. Davis, thinking herself all that?" Grace quickly chimed in with a murmur.
Through the mirror, Quinn saw the three of them huddled together, their eyes occasionally glancing her way. She could easily guess they were bad-mouthing her.
It was so damn unjust. She didn’t understand what she did wrong. Ever since she arrived here yesterday, people had been speaking ill of her without even knowing her. Some even openly mocked her.
Was it because of Savannah Lowell and Elias Sinclair? But she, Quinn Lockwood, had done nothing to warrant this. She treated everyone courteously, so why were they still being this way?
"Can we start now, Savannah Lowell?" Ethan seeing the styling done, but Quinn still sitting lost in thought on the chair, shook his lifted leg and called to her from across the room.
"Ah, coming," Quinn raised her head to look at her appearance.
No one had informed her she was ready. Glancing back at Ethan, despite his lazy and carefree facade, he was indeed a nice guy.
"Alright, get started then," Ethan yawned, then lazily addressed Kevin.
"All departments ready, shooting will commence soon, countdown 3, 2, 1."
With the countdown complete, the studio instantly lit up with various colored lights and the buzzing of machines.
"We’ll do a photo shoot first this morning, and the ad video filming in the afternoon," Ethan informed Quinn. Once in work mode, all traces of his earlier idleness and laxness disappeared; he was utterly serious.
"Okay," Quinn solemnly nodded, stepping into the center space.
"Focus on the necklace, you know the required style, right? Don’t need me to guide you in posing, do you?" Ethan said while adjusting the camera between test shots.
Looking at Ethan’s serious demeanor and tone, Quinn was somewhat struck by his rigorous professionalism, akin to a top-tier photographer’s demeanor.
"I understand, I’ll start now." Not daring to slack off, Quinn got into character.
Seeing Ethan no longer speak but instead focus on the screen, Kevin signaled the staff.
The wind machine blew through the girl’s sleek, shiny black hair and graceful, flowing skirt, filling the space with a youthful, aromatic atmosphere.
Observing her raise her hand, gently playing with the hair on her neck, the red hexagram diamond necklace highlighted the girl’s fair and delicate neck against her playful demeanor, exuding vibrant energy.
Ethan was exceedingly pleased, unexpectedly finding Quinn Lockwood quite talented. He wanted to capture more shots, so he said, "Good, keep it up, tilt your neck a bit more."
Just as Ethan felt everything was going perfectly, Quinn suddenly closed her eyes.
