Chapter 339: Chapter 339

With one hand on the steering wheel, the man turned his head to watch the movement in the rearview mirror and turned the car around.

Though filled with anger, he couldn’t bear to just leave Quinn Lockwood behind like that.

From afar, Elias Sinclair saw Quinn Lockwood’s figure, struggling fiercely with a portly man.

Elias suddenly stepped on the gas, performing a sideways drift, stopping beside the man.

Both Quinn Lockwood and the man were startled.

Elias opened the car door, the polished leather of his custom shoes making a clicking echo on the silent street.

Then, there was a scream, and the portly man rolled around on the ground several times before curling up to lie there, trembling.

Elias looked down at the man on the ground, his gaze cold and ruthless.

"Elias!" Quinn Lockwood clutched her reddened wrist and hand and shivered as she quickly ran towards Elias.

"Why did you leave so quickly just now?" Quinn Lockwood asked, lips tightly pursed as she hugged Elias tightly, tears glinting in her eyes as she complained angrily.

She had been so terrified just moments ago! The thought of a drunken stranger accosting her on the street made her feel sick.

If Elias had come any later, or if he simply left, she probably would have been in real danger tonight.

Recalling the man’s greedy, lecherous smile, Quinn Lockwood felt a wave of fear and unconsciously tightened her grip on Elias’s arm.

"Don’t be afraid, Savannah." Elias held Quinn Lockwood with one arm and gently patted her head with the other, softly comforting her.

"I’m here, don’t worry."

Elias felt some guilt in his heart, realizing that no matter how angry he was, he should not have left Quinn Lockwood behind.

His sturdy arm held Quinn Lockwood tightly, feeling somewhat melancholy inside.

His little wife seemed... a bit too appealing.

Quinn Lockwood buried her face in Elias’s chest, slowly calming down after a long while.

Feeling the solid muscles of Elias’s chest and his strong heartbeat, Quinn Lockwood suddenly lifted her head, meeting the man’s deep eyes.

"Thank you... I... I’m okay now!" Quinn Lockwood suddenly realized her impulsive action, blushing deeply.

She quickly turned her body, opened the car door, jumped in, and sat in the passenger seat, pretending to look out the window.

Elias watched her smooth movement, raised an eyebrow slightly, and then smiled gently.

Quinn Lockwood caught sight of Elias’s smile out of the corner of her eye, and her face flushed even deeper.

Even after they returned home, Quinn Lockwood felt awkward and didn’t talk much to Elias.

The next day, as the crew was busy filming scenes with other actors, Quinn Lockwood had time off to rest and went to her agency to prepare for other announcements. ᴛʜɪs ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ ɪs ᴜᴘᴅᴀᴛᴇ ʙʏ N0velFire.ɴet

The computers in the agency office were almost all analyzing and tracking the recent surge in events around Quinn Lockwood, as well as their duration.

There was no way around it; Quinn Lockwood and Mikael had been overwhelming lately, overshadowing almost all other actors.

But today was different; it was not Quinn Lockwood but Ariana Lynch who topped the trending search list.

Seeing the trending on X, Quinn Lockwood sneered slightly.

Breaking news! Ariana Lynch’s wedding date!

Are you kidding? How could Ariana Lynch possibly get married, and to Jonah Hansen, the gold-digging loser?

"Savannah, what do you think about this?"

"Ariana Lynch is a popular young star, getting married so young would be career suicide!" Anna said, crossing her arms and leaning her elbows on the back of Quinn Lockwood’s chair.

Quinn Lockwood slightly curled her lips, glanced at the X interface, and said, "Probably just hype! Maybe she thinks I’ve been in the spotlight too much recently, so she wants to create some buzz too?"

She refused to believe that Ariana Lynch would be content to marry and settle down.

Quinn Lockwood knew that Ariana Lynch was not someone who would willingly live a mundane married life, especially given Jonah Hansen’s lack of any outstanding qualities besides some knowledge and wit. With Ariana’s pride, how could she be willing to marry him?

However, Jonah Hansen was also skilled and cunning; perhaps he managed to leverage something against Ariana Lynch, forcing her to marry him.

Just as Quinn Lockwood was contemplating the truth of the matter, she received a call from Philip Chandler, Ariana Lynch’s agent.

"Miss Lowell, are you available to meet now? Miss Lynch asked me to deliver her wedding invitation to you." Philip Chandler was waiting downstairs with a beautifully crafted card in hand.

"Oh?" Quinn Lockwood furrowed her brow slightly, feeling surprised.

She instructed the security downstairs to let Philip Chandler up and waited for him in her private lounge.

"Is she serious?" Quinn Lockwood glanced at the gold-scripted wedding invitation, her gaze scrutinizing.

"It’s real; I’ve heard Chairman Lynch is already making arrangements." Philip Chandler nodded, his gaze firm, indicating he was not deceiving Quinn Lockwood.

Philip paused briefly, contemplating out loud, "I honestly don’t understand why she’d choose to dig her grave when she’s at such a peak."

In truth, Philip Chandler felt glad about Ariana’s marriage.

It gave him an excuse to quickly detach from Ariana Lynch, and if she really got married, though she was a daughter of the Lockwood Group, her status in the entertainment industry would undoubtedly plummet.

At that point, Quinn Lockwood wouldn’t need him to gather intelligence on Ariana Lynch anymore, and he could swiftly advance to the position of Art Director.

"Keep an eye on this for me."

"I’ve already touched base with Creative Media. While your capabilities are sufficient, you’ll still need to demonstrate real skills to earn respect." Quinn Lockwood tapped the table with her fingertips, giving Philip Chandler a meaningful look.

That captivating and dangerous gaze made Philip Chandler’s heart skip a beat. This woman, though young, was indeed quite formidable.

After briefing Quinn Lockwood about Ariana Lynch’s recent schedule, Philip Chandler left.

"Anna, are there any plans for this afternoon?" Quinn Lockwood asked Anna after Philip left.

"There’s an interview with Morning Star Press, along with some product promotions," Anna said while flipping through Quinn Lockwood’s schedule.

Upon hearing about the Morning Star Press interview, Quinn Lockwood rolled her eyes instantly: "Cancel it; the Morning Star Press interview isn’t urgent."

Given that it was Wade Lynch’s press interview, whether she accepted it or not didn’t matter. They knew each other well, and later Wade would just fill in the details.
