Chapter 338: Chapter 338
Quinn Lockwood’s cheeks flushed a deep red from Elias Sinclair’s blatant words, and she bowed her head, not daring to lift it for a long time.
Feeling slightly calmer inside, Quinn abruptly pulled away Elias’s hand, and as she turned around, she pinched his arm hard.
"You better stop talking." Quinn gritted her teeth and forced out these words, blinking continuously to signal Elias.
However, Elias only curled his lips slightly, his eyes holding an intoxicating gentleness that was hard to capture, as he held Quinn’s hand that was about to be withdrawn.
Quinn secretly mustered all her strength to pull her hand away, but the man tightened his grip even more.
"Are you still mad at me? I promise I won’t do it again tonight."
Listening to Elias continue with his unabashed, ambiguous words, Quinn’s face flushed all the way to her ears, casting a slightly embarrassed glance at others in the studio.
Quinn’s small hand gripped Elias’s palm tightly, hoping he would understand her meaning.
"From now on, I’ll have breakfast with you every morning, so there’s no need for anyone else to waste their efforts unnecessarily."
Elias gently caressed Quinn’s delicate hand, his long, narrow eyes slightly narrowing as if claiming ownership, and looked toward Mikael.
Mikael’s handsome face maintained an elegant and polite smile, his clear eyes meeting Elias’s gaze without any fear.
"Alright, alright, let’s go." Quinn could no longer withstand Elias’s provocative words, her almond eyes seeming to glisten with a watery appeal.
Elias slightly lowered his eyes, his picturesque brows easing open, carrying a faint sense of joy.
Quinn shook Elias’s arm, seeing him still standing in place unmoving, and her heart couldn’t help but feel anxious.
Quinn bit her lip hard, quickly pulling Elias’s arm, and hurriedly left.
Elias didn’t speak, allowing Quinn to lead her away quickly.
Though Quinn walked quickly, her pace hardly outpaced Elias’s normal walking speed.
"Elias Sinclair, what are you doing here this late at night?" Quinn’s smiling face had frozen, tinged with displeasure.
Just now, Elias openly said such embarrassing things in front of everyone.
If she didn’t know Elias’s true nature, she might really think he was a playboy juggling many women.
"Of course, I’m here to take my wife home." Elias raised his eyebrows, his deep eyes growing brighter, his lips curved in a smile.
Hearing such gentle and heartwarming words, Quinn’s face turned cold.
She looked up, her brows knotted: "Elias Sinclair, you must be mistaken, right?"
"Even if I don’t know what your strange behavior in the past few days means, I still need to tell you, I, Quinn Lockwood, don’t like you at all."
"Please keep your distance from me, thank you."
Quinn enunciated her feelings clearly, yet her heart inexplicably felt a sense of emptiness.
The man absorbed Quinn’s words entirely, his expression growing colder bit by bit.
"Savannah Lowell, you are my wife in this lifetime, the position of Mrs. Sinclair is yours forever." The man pinched Quinn’s chin, and as they locked eyes, his thin lips slowly approached the woman’s lips. Read full story at noveⅼfire.net
"You can’t escape." Elias stopped just a few millimeters from Quinn’s lips, his fingertips gliding from her chin to her cheek.
The skin on his hand was as smooth as a girl’s, warm to the touch, gently stroking her face, slippery, tender, and soft.
Quinn slapped Elias’s hand away with a smack.
She had no interest in feeling how good Elias’s skin was; she only knew that this man used the title of Mrs. Sinclair to domineeringly confine her life!
This was Elias Sinclair’s first time so openly expressing possessiveness toward a woman and also the first time being ignored and rejected by a woman.
The man’s face darkened, and although he was very angry inside, he couldn’t bear to abandon Quinn.
"Get in the car." Elias strode to the car, opening the door with a sullen face.
"I’m not riding in your car! I’m not helpless, you know!" Quinn pouted, glaring at Elias, and headed in the opposite direction.
"Savannah Lowell." Elias suppressed a surge of anger, gritting his teeth as he called out Quinn’s name quietly.
However, she didn’t even turn her head, her steps growing larger.
Elias huffed coldly through his nose, slamming the car’s passenger door shut and getting into the driver’s seat.
As the sound of the car engine roared to life, Quinn turned around just to see Elias really driving away!
"Outrageous, so outrageous! Elias Sinclair, you... outrageous guy!" Quinn pouted her lips in anger, stomping her foot several times, yet she couldn’t come up with harsher words to curse Elias.
Humph, let him go, who’s afraid of whom?
Quinn scoffed lightly, lifting her chin and walking forward grandly, planning to see if she could hail a cab at the next intersection to go back home.
Just as she was looking down, still muttering criticisms of Elias in her heart, she suddenly bumped into someone.
"Sorry, I didn’t do it on purpose." Quinn hurriedly lowered her head to apologize, quickly furrowing her brows.
The smell of alcohol was strong.
It was the scent of white liquor.
"Oh, why so forward, sweetheart? Don’t tell me you’re feeling lonely late at night and looking for a man to warm your bed?" A man, reeking of alcohol with two slabs of fat on his face, leered at Quinn, closing in on her step by step.
"Sorry, I didn’t mean to bump into you." Quinn immediately bowed to him once more and turned to run.
The streets were desolate in the middle of the night; if this drunk guy clung to her, she had no idea how she would get away.
He was also fat and burly, and even if there were ten of her, she couldn’t possibly overpower him.
Yet, before Quinn could turn away, the man had already grabbed her hand, feeling the flesh on its back.
"So smooth, so soft." The man’s eyes, blurred with drunkenness, turned lewd and lascivious upon settling on Quinn.
Quinn clenched her fist tightly, contemplating how she might escape.
She swallowed hard, her gaze rapidly scanning the surroundings, finding everything clean with no potential weapons or hiding spots.
Elias, having driven a certain distance away, suddenly slammed on the brakes.
His sensuous lips were tightly pressed together, clearly indicating how angry he was with Quinn.
