Chapter 281: Chapter 281

"Uh?" Quinn Lockwood was a bit dazed by her sudden change of mood, unsure whether to agree or not as she pulled at the corners of her mouth.

"Come on, let’s go, let’s go. Haven’t you always dragged me out before? Today we’ll be the purest dancer queens in the whole club." Sierra looked at Quinn’s fresh, neat attire and tugged at her own denim overalls.

Quinn had no choice, although there were still a lot of things waiting for her at the company, Sierra had just broken up, and she couldn’t dampen her spirits.

What if this girl started crying again?

In the end, Quinn called Anna to ask for leave, and went to the bar with Sierra.

The air in the bar was mixed with a faint smell of smoke and alcohol. At Sierra’s request, Quinn booked a central booth.

"Come on, Savannah, cheers." Sierra opened a bottle of beer, clinked it against Quinn’s glass, then proceeded to drink straight from the bottle.

"Sierra, don’t drink like that." Quinn watched as Sierra seemed numb, pouring alcohol into her mouth, and quickly got up to stop her.

"You should drink too, don’t mind me, we have to enjoy ourselves today." Sierra put down the beer bottle after drinking half of it and handed another bottle to Quinn.

Quinn looked into Sierra’s somewhat dazed eyes, knowing she was drinking too fast, and had already had quite a bit.

Sighing deeply, Quinn picked up the beer bottle in front of Sierra and poured the drink into her own glass.

Even though she wasn’t too keen on drinking, Quinn decided to join Sierra, fearing she would feel down.

"Wow, you ladies sure can drink. There’s no way you two girls can finish all that, why not let us join you?" A drunken, hoarse male voice sounded in her ear.

The beer bottle in Quinn’s hand was snatched away, and when she looked up, she saw two lavishly dressed middle-aged men looking at her with greedy smiles.

"Sister, you don’t seem to come here often. I’ve never seen such a pure, gentle beauty like you here before." The man sat beside Quinn, placed his hand naturally on her shoulder, and winked at the other man.

The other man got the signal, sneered, and walked over to Sierra.

"Stay away from me." Quinn instantly turned cold, got up, and looked at the man with disgust.

The man wore a deep purple suit with a black and gold tie, and a Rolex watch worth over thirty thousand dollars on his wrist, indicating he had some wealth.

Unfortunately, he was a scumbag.

Quinn’s brows furrowed, staring at the man with shifty eyes and greasy demeanor, looking just like a nouveau riche.

"I say, sister, do you know who I am? If you’re willing to hang out with me, I can satisfy any of your desires." The man pointed at his watch, flaunting his wealth.

"Heh, get lost." Quinn’s eyes were icy as she mercilessly scolded the man.

Sierra shook off the other man in the trench coat and slapped him directly.

"Damn bitch, don’t know how to appreciate good wine." The man in the trench coat spat, stood up, and attempted to grab Sierra.

Though Sierra and Quinn were bold, both of them were relatively slim and naturally couldn’t compete with the two men.

"Stop." Just as the two men grabbed Quinn and Sierra, a clear and powerful voice rang out.

"This is a law-abiding society, are you two really going to abduct women in front of all these people?" Dylan Quinn’s face was tense, his eyes dark and piercing as he looked at the two men.

"Who the hell are you, minding other people’s business, they’re not even your girls." One of the men walked over and pushed Dylan with a rude tone.

In the blink of an eye, Dylan twisted the man’s arm behind his back with lightning speed, leaving everyone in shock. ɴᴇᴡ ɴᴏᴠᴇʟ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀʀᴇ ᴘᴜʙʟɪsʜᴇᴅ ᴏɴ Novᴇl_Fire(.)net

"These two might not be my girls, but they are my friends, and very good friends at that." Dylan’s fair and handsome face carried a hint of fierceness, unlike his usual gentle and elegant demeanor.

The muscles in his arm bulged slightly from exertion as he beckoned to Quinn and Sierra with his other hand to indicate for them to come to his side.

"Dylan?" Quinn’s eyes flashed with surprise as she drew Sierra to stand behind him.

"Ouch, ouch, let go, let go, can’t we just leave?" The man trapped by Dylan cried out in pain, nodding to his helpless companion to signal retreat.

After all, it was a public place, and the two hadn’t committed any substantial crime, so Dylan let him go despite his gloomy expression.

"Are you alright?" After the two men left, Dylan turned around, looking at Quinn with great concern, his voice returning to its usual gentle and clear tone.

"I’m fine, thank you." Quinn shook her head, offering Dylan a grateful smile.

"Savannah, is this your friend? He looks kind of familiar to me." Sierra walked a few steps forward, raising her head to carefully scrutinize Dylan, her gaze increasingly hazy, her cheeks flushed red.

Noticing her unsteady steps, Quinn realized she was fully feeling the effects of the alcohol, hurriedly supporting her, and gave Dylan an apologetic look.

"It’s alright." As if understanding Quinn’s thoughts, Dylan chuckled and shook his head, dismissing Sierra’s direct gaze.

"I’m Dylan, Savannah’s good friend and partner." Meeting Sierra’s bright eyes, Dylan introduced himself politely.

Upon hearing Dylan say his name, Sierra instantly perked up, as if she’d seen someone important.

"I know, Dylan, you’re that big star, I’ve heard your songs, they’re great." Sierra’s eyes sparkled with little stars, embodying the image of a fangirl as she sang a few lines of Dylan’s hit song.

But Sierra wasn’t exactly a hardcore fan. She’d just heard his music and occasionally seen him on X, appreciating his looks and talent, which made her follow him more closely.

"Thank you." Dylan chuckled softly. It had to be said, the girl wasn’t very in tune; singing two lines, only half of which were on pitch.

"Alright, Sierra, stop singing, you’re out of tune." Quinn tugged on Sierra’s sleeve, whispering to remind her.

"Oh, sorry, I think my mouth is reacting slowly, I must be drunk." Sierra grinned awkwardly at Dylan, then raised her hand to rub her cheeks.

Seeing Sierra’s slightly embarrassed look, Dylan couldn’t help but laugh.

Who admits so readily to being drunk like that?

"Let me take you back. It’s not safe out here so late." Dylan’s clear eyes glinted with a hint of amusement as he spoke gently.
