Chapter 278: Chapter 278
"Wow, this proposal is simply amazing!" Upon hearing Quinn Lockwood’s suggestion, Nina Sinclair tossed her phone aside, clearly thrilled.
But she quickly sighed, seemingly hesitant as she said, "But I don’t know how to knit a scarf, is it very difficult...?"
"It’s not difficult at all, it’s really simple, I can teach you." Quinn Lockwood patted Nina’s shoulder, speaking with ease.
"Then let’s go buy some yarn now, little sister-in-law, how about blue? I think someone as elegant and gentle as Cameron really suits blue." Nina tugged at Quinn Lockwood’s sleeve, gently rocking it with a hint of coquettishness and pleading.
Quinn Lockwood lowered her gaze to ponder for a moment, and she also thought her brother particularly suited such a clean color, so she nodded in agreement.
Seeing Quinn Lockwood agree with her idea, Nina Sinclair was so happy she looked like she was blooming, eagerly dragging Quinn Lockwood to buy yarn.
"Come on, little sister-in-law, I can’t wait any longer."
Quinn Lockwood was almost unable to stand due to Nina’s pull, making her helplessly sigh.
This girl really is impatient.
The two arrived at a mall specializing in home textiles and knitting supplies.
As soon as they entered the mall, Nina’s excitement was uncontainable seeing all sorts of yarn balls.
Nina practically jogged inside, while Quinn, wearing high heels, couldn’t keep up and was left behind.
"Oh dear, I’m sorry." Suddenly, Nina squealed sharply. Tʜe source of this ᴄontent ɪs novel✶fire.net
Quinn saw that Nina seemed to have bumped into a man, worried she might have trouble, so she hurried over.
"No, it was my fault, did I hurt you?" The voice was low and clean, giving the impression of a polite, courteous, and gentle man.
Nina was momentarily dazed, just about to say something when Quinn pulled her back a step.
"Mr. Hansen, I’m sorry, it was my friend who accidentally bumped into you." Quinn Lockwood curved her lips into a smile, the dimples on her cheeks becoming evident, while her eyes held a hint of caution looking at Jonah Hansen.
"Savannah? Why are you so distant with me? Did I do something to upset you?" Jonah Hansen’s eyes instantly lit up when he saw Quinn, his tone familiar.
Quinn Lockwood’s almond eyes twinkled with a bit of liveliness and coyness as she replied, "No, not at all, I only used a formal address because I was apologizing to you. How could I possibly be distant with big brother Jonah?"
"That’s a relief, Savannah, are you out shopping with your friend?" Jonah Hansen’s gaze landed on Nina with a hint of delight.
Seeing Jonah’s somewhat greedy look at Nina, Quinn unobtrusively stepped forward, using most of her body to shield Nina behind her, and continued friendly banter with Jonah, "Yes, we’re just looking around. Are you buying things for your home?"
Quinn pointed at the silk bedding set in Jonah’s hands, only to see him consciously hide his hands behind his back.
"Oh, this is for a relative, I’ll send it to them later." Jonah’s blinking seemed quicker, and his gaze slightly shifted to the right.
Quinn knew he was lying.
Did he really think she didn’t know anything? This bedding set’s pattern was so feminine, it was obviously chosen for Ariana Lynch.
"Then we won’t hold you up, let’s chat more next time, off we go." Quinn Lockwood winked at Jonah, her clear almond eyes brimming with smiles.
"Okay, next time we must chat longer." A trace of disappointment crossed Jonah’s eyes.
He really wanted to invite Quinn and Nina out for coffee or a meal.
But thinking about Ariana waiting at home, he had to suppress the thought.
Quinn Lockwood pulled Nina, their pace slightly brisk, and Nina saw her expression quite serious with a bit of anger, so she didn’t dare to speak for a long time.
"Nina, keep away from that guy in the future." Quinn’s brows were furrowed tightly, and her tone was very displeased.
"What happened? That person seemed quite nice just now, kind and gentle." Nina blinked, not understanding why Quinn would say that.
By the looks of their conversation earlier, the relationship seemed pretty good.
If Quinn wasn’t already her little sister-in-law, Nina might have worried if she liked that person just now.
"You think he’s polite and genteel?" Quinn furrowed her brows, her eyes glazed over with a thin layer of ice.
"He’s just a wolf in sheep’s clothing, a person that’s rotten on the inside despite looking good on the outside!"
Nina followed by Quinn’s side, constantly observing her expression.
Though unsure what warranted such harsh critique from Quinn about that guy.
But Nina trusted that whatever her little sister-in-law said was right.
"Rest assured, little sister-in-law, if I see him again, I’ll definitely stay far away." Nina nodded vigorously in agreement.
After selecting yarn at a large store, the two had a meal outside before heading home.
Teaching Nina to knit a scarf, it was clear Quinn was a bit overwhelmed by Nina’s pestering.
"It’s too hard, I can’t remember how to do it right, little sister-in-law, go slower." Nina held a mess of yarn, struggling for a while yet unable to start the first stitch.
"Nina, don’t rush, be patient."
"Imagine slowly infusing your feelings into it, just as if the person in your heart is gently caressing this scarf." Quinn moved closer to Nina, slowing down the pace of knitting the scarf.
Nina bit her lip in contemplation, then mimicked Cameron’s way of smiling gently.
Then she nodded to herself, seemingly understanding something.
As the sun set, the room gradually dimmed, a servant quickly turned on the lights, followed by Nina’s scream.
"Ouch, it hurts so much." Nina lifted her index finger, a drop of blood sliding down her knuckle.
"How did you prick yourself, and so deeply?" Quinn hurriedly put down what she was holding to fetch the first aid kit.
Nina, afraid that the blood would drip on the scarf, quickly set it aside, saying nonchalantly, "It’s fine, it’s just a prick. At the thought of Cameron being able to wear my scarf, I don’t feel any pain at all."
Quinn opened the first aid kit to tend to Nina’s wound.
Not knowing how much force this girl used, the wound was evidently deep, with blood steadily seeping out.
In the past, this pampered girl would have likely started screaming and complaining by now.
Seeing Nina’s gaze fixed on the scarf, Quinn helplessly quirked her lips.
This girl indeed liked Cameron to such an extent.
