Chapter 255: Chapter 255
"Yes, I forgot to introduce myself last time. Hi, my name is Cameron Grant." Cameron Grant gave a gentle smile and extended his hand to Tiffany Young in a handshake gesture.
"Hello... I, I’m Tiffany Young, you can call me Tina." Pressing her lips slightly, Tiffany Young carefully extended her hand.
As her fingertips touched that cool, smooth sensation, Tiffany Young couldn’t help but shiver, her hand trembling slightly.
Quinn Lockwood squinted her eyes and observed Tiffany Young, taking in her unnatural movements and expression.
Oh, so this was why she was ignoring her.
Quinn Lockwood scrutinized Tiffany Young from head to toe again, nodding slightly to herself.
Hmm, she’s not bad looking, and she has a decent figure.
Judging from these days of interaction, she’s quite smart and knows how to endure.
Barely qualified to become my little sister-in-law.
Since the company had many things to attend to, Cameron Grant only exchanged a few pleasantries with the two of them before leaving.
Quinn Lockwood rubbed her chin while looking at Tiffany Young and then asked, "Tina, do you like him?"
Tiffany Young didn’t expect Quinn Lockwood to be so direct, and her face turned crimson all of a sudden.
If she noticed, she noticed; nothing to be embarrassed about admitting!
She fiddled with her fingers, froze for a couple of seconds, and then nodded.
"To woo a guy, you need a wingwoman to make it twice as easy. I’m willing to be your wingwoman and help you two out!" Quinn Lockwood teased, raising her eyebrow, then went forward and patted Tiffany Young’s shoulder.
Tiffany Young was surprised that Quinn Lockwood would help her, tilting her head up in astonishment.
Could it be that she has no feelings for Cameron Grant?
How could that be? For a guy as elegant and handsome as him, Quinn Lockwood couldn’t possibly not be attracted.
Looking at Quinn Lockwood’s earnest and sincere appearance, Tiffany Young finally felt at ease.
"Well, thank you." Feeling a bit touched, Tiffany Young decided to join forces with Quinn Lockwood and become good friends.
"No need to thank me. Just treat me to a meal when it’s all over." Quinn Lockwood winked playfully, and after speaking with Tiffany Young, she grabbed some gelatin cake and planned to head home.
Quinn Lockwood reached home around ten o’clock.
Soaking in the bathtub filled with lavender essential oils, Quinn Lockwood half-closed her eyes to relax.
Shooting nearly 15 hours a day from morning to night left Quinn Lockwood utterly exhausted.
She wasn’t sure how long she had been soaking, but the water in the bathtub had turned lukewarm, and she drifted off to sleep right there.
A faint knocking sound came from the doorway, but the woman in the bathtub kept her eyes closed and breathing steady.
With the sound of the door opening and footsteps approaching, a clear, cold voice echoed through the room: "Savannah Lowell?"
Quinn Lockwood stirred slightly until she heard someone calling her name again and heard a light knock on the bathroom door, and then she suddenly opened her eyes.
"Ah, ah, I’m here, I’m here!" With a splash, she quickly stood up from the water and grabbed a towel to dry herself off.
"One second, one second!"
As she reached to grab her pajamas from the clothes rack, Quinn Lockwood swore, "Holy crap!"
She hadn’t taken her pajamas in here at all; she went straight to bath as soon as she got home.
Even the clothes she wore during the day were tossed into the dirty laundry basket outside the door.
Thinking it over awkwardly, Quinn Lockwood pressed her lips together and quietly opened the door slightly, speaking a bit shyly: "Uh... could you grab... the pajamas by the bed for me, please?"
Elias Sinclair was sitting on the sofa, and upon hearing Quinn Lockwood’s voice, he raised his eyebrows slightly, looked at the bathroom door, and then smirked slightly, saying, "No way."
"Come out and get dressed yourself. It’s not like I haven’t seen you without clothes before." Standing up and grabbing the pajamas at the bedside, he spoke teasingly.
"You..." Quinn Lockwood bit her lip, her cheeks instantly turning crimson.
She really wanted to go out and grab her pajamas, then stomp on Elias Sinclair’s foot!
But that’s just a thought.
Clenching her fists tightly, Quinn Lockwood finally pleaded sheepishly, "Please, just this once, toss it over if you have to."
She stretched her slender, pale arm through the door slit, making a heart hand gesture. ᴛhis chapter is ᴜpdated by noⅴelfire.net
Seeing her , Elias Sinclair chuckled lightly, raised an eyebrow, and said, "Savannah Lowell, this isn’t the right attitude to ask me for help."
Hearing Elias Sinclair’s words, Quinn Lockwood almost jumped up.
Isn’t he being unreasonable?
Just helping her grab some pajamas, did it need to be this complicated!?
Wrapping a towel around herself, Quinn Lockwood was almost ready to push the door open and go out when she finally gave in, saying, "Mr. Sinclair, Boss Sinclair, I’m begging you."
"Could you kindly lend a hand to this helpless girl and grab my pajamas for me?"
The man’s eyes glistened with faint amusement as he placed the pajamas onto the outstretched wiggling arm of the woman.
Rolling her eyes dramatically at the door, Quinn Lockwood quickly put on the pajamas and nearly bumped into the man standing outside as she opened the door.
"In such a rush to throw yourself into my arms?" Raising an eyebrow, the man lifted his hand, letting his fingertip gently graze Quinn Lockwood’s cheek.
Slapping Elias Sinclair’s hand away with a snap, Quinn Lockwood shot him an angry glare, retorting as she walked towards the bed, "How was I supposed to know you were standing by the door!"
The man watched Quinn Lockwood, his handsome face holding a gentle expression as he retrieved a gold-foiled card from his pocket and presented it to her.
"This is an invitation to the NLC International Business Banquet. You’ll accompany me tomorrow night."
"I’ve contacted your crew; you won’t need to go in for filming tomorrow."
Quinn Lockwood accepted the invitation with a faint frown between her brows and then handed it back, saying, "I’m not an executive of some company, what’s the point of attending this banquet."
"Besides, even if I went, I’d have no status. I can’t just tell them I’m a celebrity."
The man gazed down at Quinn Lockwood, then leaned down to lift her chin gently with an air of assertiveness and slight dominance in his tone: "Going as my date is enough."
"I’ll come back in the afternoon to take you dress shopping."
Without waiting for Quinn Lockwood to respond further, Elias Sinclair placed the invitation on the bedside table, turned, and left the room.
