Chapter 254: Chapter 254
"You came back pretty quickly, haven’t had breakfast yet, right?" Mrs. Lowell apparently missed her daughter a bit as she held Quinn’s hand with a loving gaze.
"Hehe, not yet, I’ve been craving mom’s pancakes." Quinn rested her chin on her hand, blinking with puppy eyes at Mrs. Lowell, acting like a child who hasn’t grown up yet.
Having not been home for several days, she was indeed feeling a bit nostalgic.
Mrs. Lowell shook her head slightly, smiling fully as she said, "You always find things for me to do as soon as you come back!"
"I’ll go make you some pancakes right now."
Quinn giggled at Mrs. Lowell, then swung her arm playfully and said, "Thanks, mom, you’re the best!"
After going upstairs to get some things, Quinn came down when Mrs. Lowell had already made the pancakes.
"Wow, these are so delicious." Quinn said as she ate the pancakes, sharing her recent daily happenings with Mrs. Lowell.
Looking down at her watch, Quinn seemed somewhat down; it was about time to head to the film set.
Mrs. Lowell asked the servant to carry the bird’s nest soup to Quinn’s car and handed her a lunchbox as she was about to leave.
"Cameron left in a hurry today and didn’t have breakfast. Could you please bring this to him?"
"This kid never eats properly; I’m worried his stomach can’t take it."
Quinn took the lunchbox, hugged it tightly, and nodded earnestly, saying, "Don’t worry, mom, I’ll make sure big brother finishes his meal!"
She sped to Cloudfall Group and walked in with the lunchbox.
"Hello, miss, do you have an appointment?" the company’s receptionist asked politely.
"No, I’m here to see my bro..." Quinn almost blurted out that she was there to see her brother.
Embarrassed, Quinn waved her hand and smiled politely at the receptionist, then walked to the entrance to call her brother.
"Bro, I’m downstairs at the company, mom asked me to bring you breakfast, but I don’t have an appointment, so I can’t get in!" Quinn whispered into the phone, covering her mouth.
"Hang tight, I’ll send someone down to get you."
With a slight sigh, Quinn hung up the phone.
She really hasn’t been keeping up with these company matters, having forgotten about needing an appointment to see the director.
If she had called her brother earlier, she wouldn’t have been stopped at reception, and now the food was probably getting cold.
Frustrated, she tapped her own head lightly, just about to take a seat, when she saw a man in a dark blue suit walking toward her.
She recognized him, he was the manager she saw yesterday.
"Please follow me upstairs, Mr. Grant is waiting for you in his office," the man nodded slightly at Quinn, with a hint of an odd look in his eyes.
Quinn followed him towards Cameron’s direction, with a few of the company employees stopping their colleagues as they noticed her.
"Isn’t that her? Mr. Grant’s girlfriend."
"Yeah, yeah, we saw her at the restaurant yesterday, isn’t she beautiful?"
"Oh no, I definitely don’t stand a chance now, the real deal is here to claim her throne at the company!"
The staff quietly observed Quinn, gathering to whisper among themselves.
Though Quinn couldn’t hear what they were discussing, the inexplicable stares made her utterly uncomfortable.
The manager led Quinn to Cameron’s office door before nodding slightly and turning to leave.
Quinn knocked on the door and addressed the person inside, "Hello Mr. Grant, I’m Savannah Lowell."
Within seconds, the door opened to reveal Cameron lightly smiling, stepping aside to let Quinn in.
Once the office door closed, Quinn took a deep breath.
It really was a hassle just to see her brother!
After placing the lunchbox on the desk, Quinn sat on the chair opposite, sternly saying to Cameron, "Mother insists that I make sure you finish your breakfast before I leave."
Cameron chuckled lightly, then gently tapped Quinn’s forehead and said, "Don’t worry, I’ll help you complete your mission satisfactorily."
Opening the lunchbox, a pancake filled with vegetables and ham appeared before his clear eyes.
"This is mom’s pancake." Cameron’s eyes curved slightly, his tone carrying a bit of light delight.
Quinn nodded, leaning her elbows on the table and resting her chin while watching her brother. The most update n0vels are published on novel※fire.net
"By the way, when I was coming up, I felt like the employees outside were giving me odd looks. Did they perhaps discover our relationship?"
"Or is it yet another mess, like rumors or something?" Quinn asked, her delicate eyebrows already knitted together in confusion.
Cameron was slightly startled, then shook his head, indicating he didn’t know what was going on either.
"Maybe it’s because our Savannah is too beautiful, that’s why they’re talking!" Cameron said, his gentle eyes filled with a smile as he swallowed the pancake in his mouth.
After seeing Cameron finish his breakfast, Quinn went to the film set to start shooting.
Since Quinn and Tiffany Young’s characters were roommates in the show, their scenes together were somewhat frequent.
But they were mostly small clips.
From meeting to the end of filming, Tiffany hadn’t said a single word to Quinn.
Even if Quinn initiated conversation or explained something, Tiffany would just roll her eyes in response, utterly ignoring her.
Quinn was quite puzzled, but as long as it didn’t interfere with filming, she didn’t bother with it too much.
By the time filming wrapped up, it was already 9 PM.
"Cameron, why are you here?" Quinn had just tidied up and walked out of the dressing room to see Cameron waiting for her in the corridor outside.
"I came to bring you some donkey-hide gelatin." Cameron lifted the box in his hand and then walked over to Quinn.
"Mom asked me to bring it to you," he whispered softly to Quinn, leaning in slightly.
Quinn pursed her lips, taking the donkey-hide gelatin, her face almost entirely lined with black marks.
Mom really... she worries about her face being flawless!
Before her eyes, Elias Sinclair’s almost perfect handsome face seemed to flash, and Quinn swallowed hard.
She would eat, she’d definitely finish all the bird’s nest soup and donkey-hide gelatin!
While Quinn was lost in thought, a clear voice of a girl interrupted her contemplation, "Uh, you’re here again."
Tiffany stood not far from Cameron, slightly lowering her head, her fingers fiddling slightly, her face a bit flushed.
