Chapter 245: Chapter 245
Wade Lynch is just insatiably unreasonable!
If he didn’t actually have a bit of real skill and some tactics, Quinn Lockwood wouldn’t have tolerated him for so long.
"Wow, how could I possibly accept this!" Upon hearing the figure, Wade instantly perked up with bright sparkling eyes, looking like a child waiting for candy.
Quinn Lockwood curled her lips, snorted lightly, and then sarcastically remarked, "Oh President Lynch, you must be joking. There’s no way in this world you’d be too embarrassed to accept anything!"
Awkwardly tugging at the corners of his mouth, Wade was once again left speechless by Quinn’s retort. For more chapters visıt noᴠelfire.net
"I’ll transfer the money to your account later." Quinn tapped her index finger on the table, then got up intending to leave.
As she reached the door, she suddenly stopped, turned back to look at Wade, and a faint light flickered in her eyes.
The woman’s red lips parted slightly, and she slowly said, "Considering we’ve worked together a few times, I still have to give you a warning."
"If you dare to cause me trouble again, don’t blame me for making it impossible for you to stay in this business!"
With that, Quinn strode out and slammed the door behind her with a bang.
Wade’s expression suddenly turned serious, and he stared at the door direction in thought for a long time.
His fingertips rubbed against his cheek as his brow furrowed deeper.
This five hundred thousand is no small sum.
Although Quinn has always been quite famous, she only really started gaining serious traction about the last six months or so, yet she’s so generously handed out five hundred thousand to him.
A peculiar glint flickered in Wade’s eyes as he curved his lips into a smile.
It seems his info really was worth something.
But ... what exactly did she mean when she said she could make it impossible for him to stay?
If she truly has nothing to do with Mr. Sinclair, how could she speak to him with such confidence?
He’s always been the one threatening artists, never has an artist warned him!
Meanwhile, over at the film crew...
Due to the successful resolution of the public opinion incident, and Quinn Lockwood once again gaining a host of fans, the agency sent Anna with many bouquets and a variety of snacks to the set to console Quinn and several staff members.
"Wow Savannah, these pink roses are so beautiful!" said a supporting actor full of envy.
The other actors and some staff also gathered around to look at the various flowers laid out on the table.
"Can’t say no to you guys, I’ll keep the baby’s breath for myself, the rest, pick whichever ones you like," Quinn said, shrugging helplessly as she looked at their coveting eyes.
"Lynn, divide those snacks among everyone, it’s all a reward from the company."
Lynn and the other actors, hearing Quinn’s words, cheerfully hopped over to divvy up the snacks like little bunnies.
Watching their innocent and adorable appearance, Quinn couldn’t help but reminisce about her past life.
With a light smile, Quinn got up to the studio to prepare for the next scene.
Finally, with everyone’s joint efforts, this delicately produced and grandly staged period martial arts drama wrapped up.
This could be said to be the first time Quinn has played the lead role in a production of such scale and craftsmanship.
Time flew by faster than expected, and although there were some unpleasant incidents during the filming, it was one of the most relaxed and harmonious casts Quinn had ever worked with.
"Alright everyone, tidy yourselves up, we’re going out for dinner later."
"It’s on me!" Quinn clapped her hands and called out loudly to everyone in the studio.
As soon as she finished, cheers erupted, and even Director Chandler started to tease her.
While putting away the script, Director Chandler said to Quinn, "Savannah, you really saved me a not-so-small expense, but I was planning to take everyone to a nice restaurant; you’d better not take us somewhere second rate."
"Rest assured, Director Chandler, I guarantee your satisfaction." Quinn said with a playful tone, waving her hand and causing both the director and the producer to laugh.
This kind of wrap-up celebration is absolutely essential for the investors, and since Quinn was the organizer, inviting Elias Sinclair naturally fell to her.
"Are you free tonight?" Quinn called Elias from the resting room to ask.
On the other end of the line, there seemed to be a few discussion-like noises, and after a few seconds of silence, a clear and cool voice came through.
"’Xuanchen Tribulations’ has wrapped up, and today is also its official premiere, why not join the celebration feast?"
"8 PM at Succulent," Quinn’s voice was bright and pure, carrying a hint of anticipation.
The man paused for a few seconds, and just as Quinn thought he might decline, a faint voice followed, "Got it."
"Alright, see you." Quinn reluctantly hung up the phone and went to the dressing room to pack up with everyone else.
Putting on exquisite evening makeup and changing into an elegant, fitted light purple dress, Quinn headed to Succulent restaurant with the crew.
"Welcome, are you Miss Lowell?" the receptionist greeted Quinn and her party warmly.
"Hello, I’m Savannah Lowell, I reserved a VIP room." Quinn nodded slightly in response.
The receptionist bowed again to Quinn, smiling politely, "Miss Lowell, a gentleman just booked the entire second floor for you; he said you should head straight upstairs on your arrival."
"Please follow me, watch the steps."
With a sweet smile and utmost respect, the receptionist guided Quinn’s group up to the second floor.
Just from this arrangement and the respectful demeanor of the restaurant staff, Quinn didn’t need to guess to know who had booked the entire second floor.
Sure enough, as soon as she entered the second floor’s VIP suite, she saw a man in a pure black tailored suit, handsome and with a cool demeanor, seated at the head of the table.
"Hello, Mr. Sinclair." Everyone nodded to greet Elias Sinclair.
The man slightly lowered his gaze in acknowledgment, then stood up to exchange pleasantries with Director Chandler.
"Hey... why did you book the whole second floor?"
"You know, I’m the one hosting this dinner, are you trying to empty my wallet?" Quinn muttered to Elias after sitting down in the empty seat next to him.
It wasn’t that Quinn intentionally chose to sit next to Elias, but his intimidating aura deterred everyone else from sitting nearby.
