Chapter 204: Chapter 204

"Savannah, why are you giving me flowers, I’m a guy," Dylan said, holding a big bouquet of baby’s breath, looking a bit at a loss outside the hospital room.

His already fair and handsome face looked even gentler and more elegant against the light blue bouquet, with a slight smile and charming dimples that could warm anyone’s heart.

"Don’t you know? It’s customary to give flowers when picking up patients from the hospital. These baby’s breath symbolize hope and blessings. The card has my good wishes for you," Quinn shrugged, as if surprised that Dylan didn’t know such a thing.

Dylan nodded in understanding, not even noticing that there was a card tucked within the bouquet.

With eager anticipation, he opened the card and indeed, there was a message: Wishing Dylan good health and success in his career.

Awkwardly tugging at the corner of his mouth, Dylan was speechless with embarrassment.

It was so formal, just like the New Year’s wishes he gave to his elders.

Because Dylan had to hold such a big bouquet, carrying the luggage fell to Quinn.

Even without the flowers, Quinn wouldn’t let Dylan carry anything since he had injured his arm, and even though the wound had healed, he still shouldn’t exert himself.

Dylan’s agent, Jade, said she was stuck in traffic and wouldn’t be able to get there anytime soon, instructing Dylan to wait obediently in the hospital room.

Quinn told Jade she had driven over and would ensure Dylan got home safely, which put Jade at ease as she entrusted Dylan to her.

As soon as the two stepped out of the hospital, they were surrounded by reporters.

"Dylan, are you dating Savannah Lowell? We heard she took care of you during your hospital stay, is that true?"

"Did you give this bouquet to Savannah? Are you planning to make your relationship public?"

The sudden swarm of reporters left them both slightly intimidated. Instinctively, Dylan shielded Quinn behind him, a protective gesture that set the reporters buzzing, cameras clicking nonstop.

With no agent or bodyguard beside them, they could easily get injured if surrounded by so many reporters. Dylan simply smiled politely at the cameras but didn’t respond to the reporters’ questions.

Quinn, standing behind Dylan, tugged at his shirt. When he turned his head, she subtly motioned to the right with her eyes, and Dylan instantly understood.

To the right, only a few scattered reporters were gathered by the stairs. Dylan quickly took Quinn by the wrist and broke through the gap.

"Look, they’re holding hands, quick, take a picture!"

Since the reporters were holding cameras and microphones, they couldn’t keep up with Dylan and Quinn as they ran, and soon they were left behind.

After a few turns, Dylan and Quinn returned to the parking lot and put their things in the trunk. Quinn started the car.

Driving smoothly along the way, Dylan reminisced with Quinn about the time fans chased them at their "secret base," and both couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

Just then, Quinn’s phone rang. Since she was driving, she had to put it on speaker.

"I’m at the airport, come pick me up," Elias’s crisp voice came through, along with the faint sound of airport announcements. Quinn knew he was back.

But didn’t he have a driver? Why was he asking her to pick him up? She wasn’t Elias’s personal driver, and besides, Dylan had just been discharged, and she promised Jade she’d get him home safely.

"I’m picking up Dylan from the hospital, maybe have your driver go instead. I can’t come right now," Quinn said, not really wanting to go to the airport to pick up Elias anyway, as he had already treated her like a driver more than once.

Besides, they had quarreled not too long ago, and if Elias started arguing again, it would ruin her mood, which she’d only recently managed to lift!

"That’s it, I’m driving, talk later, bye." Quinn hung up directly after speaking, albeit in a pleasant tone, seemingly worried about making Elias angry. ɴᴇᴡ ɴᴏᴠᴇʟ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀʀᴇ ᴘᴜʙʟɪsʜᴇᴅ ᴏɴ N0v3l.Fiɾe.net

After all, she had turned down a request from the big boss.

Meanwhile, Elias sat in the airport’s VIP lounge with a frighteningly dark expression.

"Find out where Savannah Lowell is right now, immediately," he instructed his assistant Joyce Kramer, his tone emotionless.

Joyce was quite jealous that Elias asked about Quinn’s whereabouts right after getting off the plane. Sitting in her office, her eyes cold and fierce as she glared at her computer screen, as if Quinn was right in front of her.

Even if unwilling, she had to follow Mr. Sinclair’s orders. After contacting traffic control and obtaining surveillance, Joyce’s lips curled into a cold smirk.

That woman shamelessly went to meet Dylan.

Joyce felt a lot lighter after sending Elias Quinn’s location.

Our Boss Sinclair, upon learning that Quinn went alone to Dylan’s house, exuded a chilling aura that could freeze someone to death.

Furious, he slammed the table before leaving the airport, his face grim.

Several artists from the talent agency who were usually on good terms with Dylan, and had once been part of a reality show couple pairing with Quinn, brought gifts to visit Dylan, and for a little celebration.

Since Jade hadn’t arrived yet, everyone left the task of buying alcohol to her.

At this moment, Jade arrived downstairs at Dylan’s apartment with a cart full of cocktails and wine.

"Jade, you’re finally here. If you’d been any later, we would have started without you," a colleague from the agency said, as they led everyone out to help carry the drinks.

Pretending to be angry, Jade pinched the colleague, and together they all noisily returned to the apartment.

"Let’s celebrate Dylan’s discharge, and may Dylan and Savannah become more popular and successful!" Dylan’s junior, Lin, raised his glass to toast Dylan and Quinn, then downed his drink in one go.

"Dylan and Savannah’s popularity skyrockets!" cried an excited fan from the couple pairing with Quinn, their eyes twinkling with admiration.

Everyone joined in, their gazes meaningful as they looked at Dylan and Quinn.

"Thank you, but Dylan just got discharged and can’t drink. I’ll drink this toast for him!" Caught up in the lively atmosphere, Quinn was very happy.

Since everyone was familiar with each other, there was no need for formalities, so Quinn filled her glass and downed it boldly, drawing cheers from the crowd!
