Chapter 127: Chapter 127
Opening the trending searches homepage again, the first title was: ’Savannah Lowell’s Popularity Draws Trouble’, and the second title was: ’Famous Bloggers Allegedly Spreading False Information’.
Facing the sudden reversal, the man seemed a little surprised, but his brows relaxed.
"Savannah, Savannah, quickly check the trending searches." The crew member came to find Quinn Lockwood with a phone in hand.
Quinn Lockwood took a sip of water, looked at her with a bit of helplessness, then rolled her eyes and said, "How are they trashing me again?" However, as she scanned the titles, she almost choked.
She grabbed the phone, looking very surprised at all the posts saying she was being framed, followed, and the many shares of her Dynasty Style series posters, and the diamond ad videos, her eyes almost fell onto the screen.
"Have you seen enough? It’s time to return my phone; I’ve got to get busy now. Good luck, Savannah!" The crew member was genuinely happy for Quinn Lockwood. After taking a few steps, she turned around and gave Quinn Lockwood a victory hand gesture.
Quinn Lockwood took out her phone to check X again, pondering for a moment, it seemed like it was Elias Sinclair who helped her out once more. She decided to personally thank him after work.
In the evening, Quinn Lockwood told Elias Sinclair she had already reserved a table at the Succulent Restaurant in advance. Although Elias was a bit surprised, he still arrived as promised.
"Over here!" Quinn Lockwood sat idly in her chair, watching the view outside. When she saw Elias Sinclair arriving, she quickly waved at him.
Seeing her , Elias Sinclair slightly furrowed his brows, looking at her with a slightly scrutinizing gaze.
"What’s up?" he said as he sat in the chair, gently rubbing the table surface.
"Could we trouble you to start serving the food?" Quinn Lockwood raised her hand to signal to a nearby server, then turned back and gave Elias Sinclair a polite smile.
"Thank you for helping me suppress the trending search issue." She bit her lip and said.
Elias Sinclair raised an eyebrow, withdrawing his fingers from the table and slowly speaking, "I didn’t do anything. Wasn’t it your company that handled it?"
"Uh, wasn’t it you?" Quinn Lockwood blinked with some surprise, looking at Elias Sinclair, then continued, "My company wouldn’t bother with these things. They’d like nothing better than for me to stay on the trending searches."
"Yesterday, when I planned to take a closer look at the content, all major marketing accounts were banned." The man leaned back, his expression a bit stern.
"I guess the officials thought they were too much, so their accounts were banned." Quinn Lockwood shrugged, her expression relaxing a bit.
Elias Sinclair, with furrowed brows, looked out the window, appearing somewhat thoughtful.
"Excuse me, your dishes are ready," a soft reminder came from the server beside them. Quinn Lockwood nodded in gratitude, then looked up at Elias Sinclair. Perhaps because of her good mood, Quinn Lockwood smiled sweetly at him.
Elias Sinclair withdrew his gaze from the window, meeting her beaming expression directly, his own face momentarily freezing slightly, as if trying to conceal something by lightly tapping the tabletop with his fingers.
"Didn’t you say it wouldn’t taste good if the diner’s fish was left too long? You should try it quickly." Quinn Lockwood looked at the dishes in front of her, her eyes slightly brightening.
Elias Sinclair relaxed his brow, looking at her expression and asking, "Do you like eating this?"
"Yeah, I find it very fresh and the fish melts in your mouth, it’s really delicious." Quinn Lockwood pressed her lips together, as if trying to savor the delicious taste further. ᴛʜɪs ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ ɪs ᴜᴘᴅᴀᴛᴇ ʙʏ novel{f}ire.net
"Hmm." Elias Sinclair looked at the diner fish on her plate, then looked at the girl seemingly engrossed in the experience, a small, enjoyable curve appeared on his lips.
The meal didn’t feel like Quinn Lockwood was treating Elias Sinclair; instead, it felt like she was treating herself to a feast.
"Hic." While leaving the restaurant, Quinn Lockwood couldn’t help but burp. She quickly covered her mouth, glancing at Elias Sinclair with some embarrassment. Seeing his gaze fixed forward as if he hadn’t heard, she felt relieved.
Elias Sinclair’s gaze remained forward, but there was a trace of an imperceptible smile on his lips.
"Where to? The hotel or home," came the deep, low voice of the man from beside her.
"The hotel, but I can get back on my own, no need to trouble you." Quinn Lockwood looked up at him, not waiting for the man beside her to respond. She ran to the roadside, hailed a taxi, opened the window after getting in, and waved goodbye to the man.
Elias Sinclair watched the car leave in the direction, with a somewhat complicated expression.
Returning to the hotel, after tidying up a bit, Quinn Lockwood started a video and practiced dancing for a while.
"So tired!" Quinn Lockwood lay spread-eagle on the bed, her fingers accidentally touching the phone beside her. Suddenly remembering something, she turned over to her stomach and dialed a video call.
"Hi, Savannah." Cameron Grant’s voice came through from the other side and sounded cheerful.
"Bro, have you rested? Do you miss me? How are Dad and Mom?" Quinn Lockwood bombarded him with questions in quick succession, watching the screen with expectant eyes, which made Cameron Grant find it both amusing and exasperating.
He displayed a helpless expression, slightly shaking his head, then smiling as he spoke to Quinn Lockwood, "You little rascal, are you missing Mom and Dad! How about I pick you up tomorrow, Dad and Mom miss you too."
Quinn Lockwood pouted, thinking for a moment that maybe the director could film her part first tomorrow, and then she could go home early to have dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Lowell.
Thinking this, she nodded at the camera, saying, "Okay, bro. I’ll call you when I’m almost done with work tomorrow. Then goodnight."
After ending the call, Quinn Lockwood’s face showed pure happiness.
The next day, when Quinn Lockwood told the director she wanted her scenes filmed first, she faced opposition from Ariana Lynch.
"I disagree. My scenes with you, I’m not ready yet. The morning should be my scene with Dylan Quinn, you suddenly want to change the order, that’s not acceptable." Ariana Lynch crossed her arms, a reluctant expression on her face, looking resentfully at Quinn Lockwood.
"Don’t we have to rehearse first? Plus, I only have one scene with you, it won’t delay anything, right?" Quinn Lockwood frowned a little, her expression a bit impatient.
"I’m just..." Ariana Lynch bit her lip, looking somewhat aggrieved, about to say something when Dylan Quinn interrupted.
"It’s okay, director. I’m fine with changing it. I haven’t quite got the emotional grip on this scene yet. I was just about to tell you, maybe we could move my scene to the afternoon." Dylan Quinn seriously told the director. When his gaze swept over Quinn Lockwood, he secretly winked at her.
The director, a bit resigned, waved his hand and had to agree to let Quinn Lockwood proceed with the filming first.
Quinn Lockwood watched as Dylan secretly gave her an OK gesture, tightly pressing her lips to stop herself from laughing out loud.
"In that case, let’s hurry and rehearse, otherwise I can’t bear the responsibility of delaying the entire crew’s schedule." Ariana Lynch clenched her fists in frustration, her fingernails digging into her palm.
This was a scene where the second female lead kidnaps the main female lead and locks her in their basement, requiring the display of contrasting emotions of malice and fear.
Ariana Lynch lay on the floor, with bruises and blood traces on her forehead and mouth, trembling all over.
"Ha, look at you, pitiful little thing. Who are you pretending for!" Quinn Lockwood grabbed her hair, twisting her face towards her.
