Chapter 123: Chapter 123

"What’s wrong, Savannah? Don’t you like it?"

"Of course, I like it, it’s really nice. Dad, Cameron, you try it first." As she said this, she handed the dessert to the two of them, watching them with a smile.

Forget it, she didn’t care what it was anyway; after all, this was the love of a brother for his sister.

"Alright, Dad will try it." Mr. Lowell took the dessert with a look of gratification, unable to hide his smile.

But she still wanted to say this: having a brother is really great!

Cameron looked at Quinn Lockwood, his clear and gentle eyes filled with warmth, making one feel as if they were in the suburbs on a summer night.

Quinn Lockwood took a bite of the dessert, a rich and refreshing sensation spreading from her taste buds, as if her whole palate had been rescued.

"Hey, Cameron, aren’t you going to the company today?" Quinn Lockwood asked after swallowing the dessert in her mouth.

Cameron smiled slightly, "I’ve already dealt with everything that needed handling, so I don’t have to go for now."

"Really? Then I can spend a little more time with you today. Cameron, you’re always so busy; I have barely had a proper conversation with you recently."

Quinn Lockwood put down the dessert and wrapped Cameron’s arm around hers, speaking in a playful, girlish tone.

Cameron was slightly taken aback, a barely noticeable expression flashing through his eyes, his body leaning slightly towards Quinn Lockwood, saying, "Yes, it’s rare to have some downtime. I’ll take you and Dad downstairs to walk around later; there’s a nice little park behind the hospital."

After informing the doctor, Cameron took Quinn Lockwood and Mr. Lowell for a walk in the park; Quinn Lockwood clung to both of them, chatting non-stop all the way.

She often made them burst into laughter, and seeing some children blowing bubbles, insisted like a kid that Cameron buy her one too.

With the excuse: A brother must buy bubble water for his sister.

Looking at Quinn’s clean side profile, Cameron’s hand at his side curled slightly, a strange feeling surfacing in his heart.

He had never seen Quinn Lockwood so innocent and carefree, the breeze brushed over, shadows of trees mottled the ground, suddenly he hoped to walk a bit slower, letting this gentle moment linger a little longer.

However, the good times didn’t last long; just then Anna’s phone call came in, and Quinn Lockwood quickly handed the bubbles to Cameron, hastily answering the call.

"Savannah, congratulations!" Anna’s voice sounded very excited.

"Haha, there are two pieces of good news to share with you. The first is from Dynasty Style Magazine; the issue you shot reached a five-digit sales figure for both print and digital editions."

Anna lowered her overly excited voice and continued, "Also, the advertising campaign you did for The Sinclair Group’s diamond series has received very, very good feedback and response!"

"Moreover, Mr. Sinclair just gave everyone a bonus, apparently because the diamond series sales have been exceptionally good, haha."

Hearing Anna’s words, Quinn Lockwood felt a burst of joy; it seemed her efforts were truly paying off.

"What’s making you so happy, Savannah? Share it with Dad too." Mr. Lowell knew about these things already but rarely saw his daughter so joyful, so he deliberately played along.

Quinn Lockwood roughly narrated what Anna told her; Mr. Lowell was very appreciative of her achievements, and combined with the opportunity to interact with Elias through work, he no longer opposed her continuing in the entertainment industry.

He nodded affirmatively to Quinn and said, "Well done, Savannah. Remember to good news with your mom too, and Elias will surely be happy as well."

Hearing Elias’ name, Quinn Lockwood’s expression slightly changed, which Cameron caught.

He knew that even though Quinn said she didn’t like Elias, she couldn’t quite get him out of her heart.

But he didn’t know why whenever he thought , his chest felt inexplicably clogged, something he had never felt before.

"Yes, a diamond series as a high-end jewelry line achieving such impressive sales is indeed worth celebrating. Savannah, you are amazing."

Cameron put away his inexplicable thoughts, affectionately pinching Quinn’s cheek; anything that could make her happy, he would definitely strive to do.

"No, it’s just because his product is good." Quinn Lockwood waved her hand hurriedly; she didn’t dare to claim credit just for some success and definitely wouldn’t dare compete with Elias for credit, thinking about his cold expression while working, cold enough to freeze someone, she couldn’t help shivering.

The three of them took another general round of the place before heading back to the hospital.

After receiving a call, Cameron had to rush back to the company, coincidentally running into Elias downstairs.

"Elias, you’re here." Cameron walked up to greet him.

"Yeah, is Savannah here?" The man locked the car door and asked indifferently.

"Savannah is with Dad. By the way, the diamond series, I heard it was very successful." Cameron smiled politely at Elias, his expression subtly changing.

"Mentioning you earlier, she seemed a bit off. Did you have a fight?"

Elias thought back to last night, when Quinn blushed in the dim bathroom light, momentarily losing his composure.

Seeing this, Cameron became more certain that something was going on between them, and didn’t wish for Quinn to feel upset. He wanted to understand Elias’ true attitude towards her. Chapters fırst released on novelFɪre.net

"Elias, what exactly is your attitude towards Savannah? You two have been together for quite a while; don’t you have any feelings towards her at all?" As soon as Cameron voiced his question, he regretted it slightly, unsure what kind of answer he was hoping to hear.

At Cameron’s words, Elias’ face darkened, furrowing his brows, his gaze suspended in mid-air as if in thought. After a pause, he coldly spoke, "There can’t be anything between me and her."

After speaking, he glanced at Cameron, his expression somewhat complicated.

Cameron wanted to say more, but Elias ignored him and left on his own.

Watching Elias’ departing figure, Cameron shook his head, his gaze deepening. Was this answer proof of no feelings? For some reason, he felt incredibly relaxed at this moment, with a hint of joy even rising in his heart.

Upon reaching the ward, Elias chatted with Mr. Lowell for a while, while Quinn Lockwood didn’t disturb them; instead, she stood by the window in the corridor, gazing at the scenery below.

Just as she was lost in thought, a man’s usual cold voice sounded behind her, "According to the contract terms, if the sales of the product exceed sixty percent of similar series products, the company will distribute three percent of the profits to you; I’ve already had it deposited into your account."

Quinn turned around to look at Elias’ deep-set eyes, shaking her head and said, "No need, I only shot a few ads, it has nothing to do with the sales."

"I’m just following the contract. Dad plans to leave the hospital the day after tomorrow, so if there’s nothing important, you should contact Kevin soon." Without waiting for her response, Elias turned and left.

Watching Elias being his usual cold and domineering self, Quinn’s eyebrows nearly flipped to the sky, and she forcefully patted her own head.

She was truly silly not to want the money handed to her.

Early the next morning, Cameron came knocking on Quinn’s door, informing her that Kevin was waiting outside, causing Quinn to roll off the bed suddenly, nearly bumping her knee again.
