Chapter 108: Chapter 108

"Savannah, where are you? The shoot is about to start!" A voice called out to her from afar. Quinn Lockwood took a deep breath, then lifted her head and blinked a few times, forcing a smile as she walked back.

"I’m coming, I’m coming. I just went to take a phone call, sorry." She jogged a few steps and returned to the photography studio to start the next set of poster shots.

When it was Dylan Quinn’s turn to take pictures, Quinn Lockwood stepped aside to call Elias Sinclair.

"Elias, I can’t go to dinner with you tonight, I’m sorry." Her tone carried a hint of disappointment and helplessness.

"Why?" A brief and cold voice came from the other end of the phone.

"You’ve seen the trending topic, right... I have to go back and deal with it after the shoot." Thinking about Mr. Lowell’s misunderstanding of her, Quinn Lockwood’s tone choked up a bit.

"I saw it. It’s not that serious."

On the other end, Elias Sinclair lingered on Quinn Lockwood’s trending page.

The light cast shadows on his fair face, highlighting his distinct and handsome features. His clean, slender fingers deftly manipulated the mouse, and within minutes, most of the trending topics on Savannah Lowell had been dealt with.

"When this is over, let’s have dinner together." Hearing the unusual tone in the girl’s voice, the man’s dark, deep eyes narrowed slightly, and his fingers tapped lightly on the table.

He slowly said, "Okay."

After hanging up the call with Quinn Lockwood, the man rubbed his chin, looking at her profile, seemingly contemplating something, and then got up, put on his coat, and left the office.

In the CEO office of The Lowell Group...

"Elias, you’ve come at a bad time, I was just about to head back." Cameron Grant smiled apologetically at Elias Sinclair as he began to organize the documents on the table.

"Because of Savannah Lowell’s matter?" The man raised an eyebrow, pondering something.

"Yeah, Dad saw the trending topic content, and he blew up. I reckon Savannah will probably head back around this time too, I’m worried about her..." Cameron Grant paused involuntarily while organizing the documents, showing a worried expression, "I believe Savannah wouldn’t do those things, I have to go back and explain things to Dad."

"She didn’t." A firm voice came from across.

Cameron Grant looked incredulously at Elias Sinclair.

"I’ll go back with you." Elias Sinclair ignored his expression and directly stood up, preparing to leave for the door.

"Alright, let’s go now." Putting away the documents, the two of them returned to the Lowell Family residence together.

"Even if you’re dissatisfied with me not revealing your identity, you shouldn’t resort to underhanded means , doing something like seducing a director!" Mr. Lowell threw a stack of photos harshly in front of Quinn Lockwood, his body trembling slightly from extreme anger.

Quinn Lockwood looked at those photos; they were all blurry backs and special angles created with just the right perspectives.

"Dad, I didn’t do it. These photos are deliberately taken from specific angles by someone." She felt extremely wronged, but Mr. Lowell didn’t believe her explanation and got so angry.

"Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. These photos are evidence. What were you planning to do, going to someone’s room in the middle of the night?" Mr. Lowell angrily tapped the table, feeling a rush of blood to his head.

Mrs. Lowell quickly helped him sit down. Latest content publıshed on n0velfire.net

"Dad, don’t say that about Savannah. She wouldn’t do such a thing." The moment Cameron Grant stepped in, he heard Mr. Lowell scolding Quinn Lockwood.

"You’re back, and Elias is here too!" Mrs. Lowell, seeing Cameron Grant and Elias Sinclair, quickly gave a look.

Quinn Lockwood looked up to see Elias Sinclair watching her, then quickly lowered her head.

"Savannah has been framed this time." The man was serious, but his tone lacked its usual coldness, "She has been with me, shooting a new product ad. She hasn’t left me even at night. I’ll get to the bottom of this."

Upon hearing his words, Quinn Lockwood lifted her head sharply, looking incredulous. She wanted to say something but didn’t know what to say.

He actually came specifically to speak for her, rather than maintaining a detached attitude. Watching Elias Sinclair’s serious expression, a strange warmth arose in Quinn Lockwood’s heart.

Mr. Lowell’s expression softened considerably after hearing Elias Sinclair’s words and seeing the look between the two.

"Since Savannah has been with Elias all along, it proves that those photos were indeed orchestrated by someone. Look how scared you made her," Mrs. Lowell complained to Mr. Lowell, seeing her daughter’s wronged and sad expression.

"It’s just outrageous!" Mr. Lowell forcefully planted his cane on the ground, angry that someone would dare to defame his daughter.

"Now that the misunderstanding is resolved, we will take our leave first. I’ve booked a restaurant, and it’s almost time." Elias Sinclair checked the time, then took Quinn Lockwood with him, amid the expectant looks of Mr. and Mrs. Lowell.

Once the two of them were out the door, Quinn Lockwood sat in the passenger seat without uttering a word, and Elias Sinclair watched her dazed expression, feeling that strange sensation again.

"What do you want to eat?" Feeling the man’s gaze and hearing his question, Quinn Lockwood could no longer hold back the tears that had been welling up in her eyes. She covered her face and began to cry.

Elias Sinclair initially furrowed his brows tightly. It had been a long time since he had seen this woman cry. The last time was when he was going to divorce her, and the way she silently cried now was entirely different.

"There’s some tissue in the drawer." The man gently rubbed his chin and then started the car.

Quinn Lockwood stared blankly out the window, her tears falling incessantly. Seeing her made Elias Sinclair furrow his brow even more. He glanced aside at the girl sitting next to him and handed her a tissue.

"Thank you." Quinn Lockwood accepted the tissue and quietly wiped her tears away.

Elias Sinclair pressed his lips tightly together, and the two of them didn’t speak further.

He drove the car onto a small road not far from the riverbank, and Quinn Lockwood looked at him with some surprise.

"Get out." Elias Sinclair looked at Quinn Lockwood, sitting dazed beside him. His tone remained stern, but there was a barely detectable softness in his gaze.

"Oh, okay." Quinn Lockwood was slightly taken aback but obediently got out of the car.

"Wipe away your tears; it’s windy out here at night." The man handed her a tissue, his warm gesture starkly contrasting his expressionless face.

Quinn Lockwood took the tissue, wiped the remaining tears from her face, and glanced around, asking curiously, "What are we doing here?"

"Just for a walk." Elias Sinclair’s gaze rested on the distant afterglow of the sunset, and his thin lips opened slowly, "Let’s get in a better mood, and then we’ll go eat. There’s the best spot over there for enjoying the sunset."

Following his gaze, Quinn Lockwood nodded blankly; the area did indeed look beautiful.

She quietly followed the man ahead.
